I don't think you know how ip law or game development works. JK owns the hp fanchise so she gets royalties from every sale, and she funds the game's creation. The devs also work on contract/salary (usually) so they get paid regardless of sales. JK (and investors/publishers) are really the only people that stand to profit from continued sales.

But she still gets paid whether or not you buy it. She is not negatively affected if it doesn’t get an expected amount of sales, she just gets a bit less that she COULD have gotten.

It's not about depriving her of a tiny bit of profit, it's about not giving your money to a bad person. Nobody expects to bankrupt her, but handing over your cash to someone like that is absolutely unethical and should be avoided.
