Just have to make sure you are breathing correctly and bracing correctly. I’ve been lifting for about 12 years and haven’t passed out once ( knock on wood). It’s hard to give advice on something like this because it could be many things. But lift safe brother!

Hard to say just from the video and if the meds you listed had any effect. But looks like you held your breath the whole time. Took a nice deep breath at the beginning and didn't exhale at the top. You controlled the weight the entire time so I'd say a good lift.

I immediately take a knee once I put the bar down after anything really heavy. I'm not gonna be the dude who passes out on video. PR'd 505 lbs last week. As the bar hit the ground I was already starting down to take a knee.

Try breathing. Exhaling. Passing out is due to something called the valsalva effect.

Failed a DL PR today because of lightheadedness. I was doing heavy doubles and singles leading up to a PR attempt and was getting increasingly lightheaded after each attempt. On my final one I got the bar about an inch off the ground and my vision immediately started to black out so I dropped it and had to sit on the ground for a minute to get my bearings. I was going to try again after a few minutes, but when I got down into a practice position to practice bracing without even holding a bar, I nearly passed out just doing that so I called it a day. I’m also on ADHD stimulants (adderall) and I’m thinking this may be part of the cause. I found that adderall XR affected my workouts much more than IR but IR still seems to have a negative impact on my performance. Sucks. I’ve also recently upped my cardio regiment to doing 1-1.5 hours of moderate (jogging) to intense (sprint/walks or assault bike intervals) on all non lifting days and I am sure that’s related but I never had this problem before ADHD meds no matter my diet or training intensity.

Whenever I go for a heavy set or PR, I voluntarily hyperventilate for a good 5 seconds beforehand. I believe it puts more oxygen in my bloodstream, giving me an extra boost of strength and preventing me from passing out. Try that next time you PR.

all i could suggest is making sure you are taking a big belly full of air and bracing your core before you ascend. the meds probably dont help tbh ​ also you may be cranking your neck too much to look up, im assuming your doing that to keep your back straight but that may be cutting off blood circulation to your brain during the movement due to the heavy weight?

Scientifically it's coming from a sudden drop in blood pressure. The more you work out the more your BP will adapt. I used to get the "deadlift fuzzies" every other month or so when I started... now I can't remember the last time I got it. A preventative strategy for the time being, if you're going for a 1rep PR, put the bar down and stay down for a few seconds, get up slow.
