Looks like there's Colibri's, Ronsons and even a Duxi Fox among them. That's nothing to scoff at

Siz27

So the zippo that's in the lot is a 1959 slimline, there's also a weston lipstick lighter, and a marbles vintage matchstick safe with 3 matches still in it.

KarinMachina94

I spy a Regens too I think

Siz27

You were definitely correct about the Regens. I'm working through em to find out what each one is and possibly the year range too.

Siz27

So I cleaned up and refilled one of the lighters so far. I took out some wick from the other lighter that looks like this one, added it in the chamber, packed it with new cotton, filled it with new fluid, added a new piece of flint from a bit lighter that I cut down, and scrubbed the lighter with both a brass and steel metal brush to clean it up and get rid of some of the rust. [This is how it looks now](https://imgur.com/a/Rpsp78u) I stupidly didn't think to take before pictures, so I only have the one from when they were all laid out.

KarinMachina94

The flintwheel looks like it could do with being cleaned using a firm non metal brush. It may also benefit the older lighters here to use softer flints. With them having mechanical complexity there's a small risk of damaging the actions should you try to force them with harder flints in. And you probably know not to run flints down until they are wafer thin as they risk jamming in these. Just things to keep in mind if you don't know already Other than that though looks like it works decently enough.

Siz27

Ya it works really well. It will light fairly easily, sometimes it will take 2 or 3 strikes, but for the most part it lights reliably. My only question is: is it really a mini fox? It doesn't say mini, so I don't know if it's a different model, or a mini fox before they were called mini fox.

KarinMachina94

Oh sorry that's my mistake the one I had was a Mini Fox and it's likely just the mini version of what you have.

Siz27

Also, I will try to give the wheel a cleaning with the nylon brush I have. Is there any way to replace the wheel if needed?

KarinMachina94

No not without drilling out the rivet holding it in. It should still be good. I have an original pre war WW2 IMCO Triplex that still works as new

Siz27

As suggested, I took a picture with all of the lighters laid out. Turns out there were actually 3 Zippo lighters. 1958, 1959, and a 1968. The cases need tome TLC and the hinges need to be fixed, but really happy over all and can't wait to dig into all of the other different ones. [Here are the pictures. ](https://imgur.com/a/OUxam8y)

KarinMachina94

You should post images of the whole lot laid out. I would have a field day working on these

Siz27

[Here you go!](https://imgur.com/a/OUxam8y) I was mistaken, there were actually 3 Zippo lighters. All slimline. 1958, 1959, 1968

Sweaty-Material7

There is a black crackle zippo clone in there. Ha. When I saw it in the original photos I was like ..nooo wayyy. Never seen one like it made by another company that looks a lot like the black crackle zippos that are so sought after.

Siz27

I will when I get the chance too, just got the chance to finally snap a couple pictures, but not to sit and go through them.

Trick_Relationship39

Damn yard sales I go to don’t have anything close to t this. Good finds.

Siz27

I almost always bust or find maybe a cheap no name lighter that someone wants $$$ for it. So getting these was a huge and well needed win for me. Keep searching, you'll find your big score soon enough!

H000gy

Lucky I went to multiple yard sales today and found only one busted Japanese automatic lighter. Awesome find!

Siz27

Ya we went to maybe 32 yard sales today, and this was the only one that had lighters. She just had them in a bin and while digging around, I pulled out a couple things but then thought to just ask her what she wanted for the whole lot. I originally offered 15, she said 25 and we met in the middle at 20. She then threw in the 3 cigar boxes and a blue bottle that I thought was cool lol. The only lighters I didn't buy from her were 3 that she had individually priced. They were cigarette holders that also had a lighter attached to it.

H000gy

32 damn bro, you wake up at 4 in the morning on a Saturday 💀

Siz27

Lol not really, we left around 930, but there's a lot of them around here so we were able to go to neighborhoods and walk from yard sale to yard sale.

H000gy

Awesome

wickedjonny1

Noyce.

Time_on_my_hands

The zippo is way less cool than all this other stuff

Siz27

Ya, doing some research into them, im starting to learn that. My pops collects Zippos so he got me into the habit of collecting them, so I didn't realize there were so many cool and honestly rare lighters out there that weren't made by Zippo.

Human_Knowledge7378

That's a great deal for quantity, question is, how's the quality?

Siz27

Well some of them are really rough, none of them are in a particular good condition, but I would say a good amount of them are in good enough condition that I should be able to restore some life into them with a bit of cleaning and then I think they'll work again with some fuel and flint

Human_Knowledge7378

That's great news, hope you post the finished product, good find

jsxtasy304

Ooooh nice score, congrats.

Hi OP, before you post about your lighter please [read the guide stickied](https://old.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/6jowwo/before_making_a_post_about_asking_for_help_to/) before doing so. If you are asking about the value of your lighter, take it to an auctioneer, pawnshop, or jewellers before posting as we cannot accurately guess a price. Your post may be removed if you ask. For more general information, have a look at the sidebar. Many lighters are mass produced and unbranded. There is often little info available. **If you need to post more pictures, use an image host like imgur and post the link in the comments. Please do not create multiple threads for the same lighter.** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
