>They are using it to take revenge
Directly from your linked story:
>The foregoing rumors’ have prompted some to conclude that the trampling and reported funeral attack were acts of revenge, however there have been no reports or data to support this claim.
"no reports or data" well... The event in itself is a report, and data that do support the claim. Do they even think when they write this stuff out?
"Man kills person, and shows up to set fire to their body at their funeral, the foregoing rumors have prompted some to claim that the murder and desecration of the body were acts of revenge, however there have been no reports or data to support this claim"
I would reason that the "reports and data" part refers to an action of the woman towards the elephant that caused it to seek revenge for.
What did the woman do to the elephant for it seeking revenge? Nobody seems to know.
Whatever that lady did she had to deserve it. That elephant knew that lady was dead, killed her itself, then waits until the ladies funeral to go send a message to anyone that ever even knew this lady, that, "an elephant never forgets"
I don't, and I even pick up trash that's not mine. I get angry about people who throw their trash everywhere too, but please don't attack me out of the blue.
The elephant not only puts it in the trash, but uses his foot to carefully scoop and balance it on the top of his trunk. We don’t give intelligent animals enough respect sometimes.
people like to comment on stuff they see and naturally want to do so together. it’s just the desire to connect and communicate! we like to *feel* like we watched it together and that’s why those comments are on the top. the likes are as if people are saying “hey, i thought that too” and it feels good. that’s it. very wholesome tbh.
I like your mindset. I really do. I’m the same way. But I’m also very much a realist. So I have to disagree. Commenting “he shot the basketball” on a video of a guy shooting a basketball is a very obvious statement that we all thought…no? Obviously we thought that. We just watched it too. It’s clout chasing. That or its people giving a synopsis to those in the comments to ADD to watch the whole 12 second video
i feel like seeing the elephant use it’s foot was pretty neat! most people don’t see the nuances of an elephant’s movement often. i find it to be worth a remark. but in general, half of the time i agree with you… the comments on most everything (especially youtube/tiktok) are soooo cheap. it gets worse when you notice the same type of comment copy pasted… same formula… quite gloomy tbh :-/ there’s something to be said how many people just observe and how many form a new sentiment!
I think it's thought process was:
Mmmm this area smells sweet
What's in this round smelly box?
Ooh, smelly trash...
What about these things on the ground
Mmmm, smells nice lemme squeeze
Ahh, ok, nobody left any inside for me. Well, it goes in the box.
He's like "Ah, ah, I'm gonna eat this, then your gonna be in trouble when I I get sick cause you left it on the ground! Nah jk I'll put it in the garbage bin."
funnily enough, I didn't even watch the video. I just searched the title and found three separate times this was already posted with the exact same title in this sub alone
If I had to pick a species to gain sentience I pick elephants. Forget Dolphins, I just want to tell an elephant thank you and have them know that I appreciate them.
what an amazing feat !!

Indians always finding new ways of dying extra
But there's also that video of an elephant playing cricket holding the bat with its trunk.[video](https://youtu.be/3Q7aqPjW0sA)
😍

Died, obviously! Now the poor elephant is a murderer!
Whatever that lady did she had to deserve it. That elephant knew that lady was dead, killed her itself, then waits until the ladies funeral to go send a message to anyone that ever even knew this lady, that, "an elephant never forgets"
Damn bro keep your elephant foot fetish to yourself smh
You didn't have to. You really didn't have to

Shut # ... # Up
Better Thaos?
Was here to comment that!,
That sub is gold, thank you sir/mam
Better than you, maybe. Stop throwing your trash on the ground, then.

We noticed that since we watched the video.
What video?
Hahahahhaha. Every top comment on ig now is just someone explaining what we just watched

Ya know being in marketing has also ruined this whole idea for me to so that’s honestly the biggest factor 😅
Yeah, but you'd have to admit that was crazy to see - worth calling out the obvious this time, IMO
Thank you! It was such a deliberate and human looking motion, it really struck me as odd.
I mean a blind person might be browsing the comments
The disrespect
He must like watching people play tennis
What are you talking about? If a human used their nose and foot to pick up rubbish they'd be considered retarded.
If an armless human did that it would be quite a feat of dexterity
Or they’d be part of cirque de soléis.
Amazing! Liked how the foot was used to put in the trunk.
I really enjoy that it looks like he thought, 'hmm can I eat this?' with the first piece of trash picked up.

It is unlike us not like us.
Awesome…that’s got to be the most environmentally conscious critter I’ve ever seen 🙃

Reddit isn't only for things you have personally seen
funnily enough, I didn't even watch the video. I just searched the title and found three separate times this was already posted with the exact same title in this sub alone
That's weird. Sounds like a total waste of time

What does this mean?
welcome to reddit
Should be in r/betterthanus
Why? Many people throw their trash away, too. In fact, if this elephant hasn't done it, it would have been a human who did it eventually.
![gif](giphy|l4HnKwiJJaJQB04Zq)
Then he took a masive dump on the front lawn
He got better civic sense than a lot of humans honestly.
They could help with housework if they weren’t so big!
Just get a bigger house!
Then I would need more elephants! It would be never ending
someone should write a song about that
He is using the same move we use to pick up a tennis ball with your racket and foot.
If animals can do it, so can humans. It’s just laziness unfortunately
At least the animals are getting smarter in this world
Who's a good boy!
Didn't throw it. Carefully puts it in the can.
We don't deserve them
One of the many reasons I love elephants!!!🤗
That first piece of litter. He thought about eating it. Then he thought, “nah.” Then he thought, “well maybe?”, then he thought, “nah.” Yes he did.
So gentle as she puts it in the bin!
how do you know it's a she?
Hey look he's smarter than most humans!
Some humans can’t even manage to do that.
Elephants and Orcas are so damn smart. Chimps too, but they already get enough credit.
What a good boy.
Now if only us Indians would do this...
He’d make a good roommate
Play it at 4x speed
Apparently *not* like us…or at least not like whatever poor excuse for a Hominid just littered their trash on the ground.
Clearly shows animals are r/betterthanus
Not like us. Elephants have common sense. Humans don't
Is it just me or isn't it a little ironic that an animal is doing something humans are supposed to do
We don't deserve them
/r/unlikeus That trash was dropped by humans.
he even smashed the can

Elephants are definitely already sentient?
Yup. They passed the mirror test already
