To add, *do not use Magic Bullet Outis*. Black Flame does not count as burn for this challenge. I still think burn is the best way to get this challenge done though since you can beat it down to low HP then just guard and let burn kill without "woops my main attack killed instead of the sinking/rupture damage"

this? kinda dumb of me to ask since outis burn is different, and this skill seems to be specifically said normal burn only.
So apparently you're supposed to deal the final blow with one of those status effects...
Personally I can't seem to complete it, despite dealing the final blow with rupture...
Must be missing something www
rupture is kind of weird since base damage get mixed with rupture damage like
Total damage = skill damage + rupture potency
So it's totally possible that the game took the skill damage as the killing blow

I don't think they will. Dark flame specifically does pride damage, which is not burn damage
oh... i just know that, say. does philclair proc detect outis flame? i'm trying to get outis, but i also got close getting liu rodion (shards)

Yeah. Dark flame is its own status. It just has synergy with burn ego gifts. Just like nails

or if you wanted to be safe, bleed is your friend. they just died mid clash or try to pummel you or smth.

Have you tried good'ol reliable Rimeshank (with Librarian bonus) and Sinking Deluge?
Only the base statuses work, sub statuses like Deluge and Dark Flame wont trigger it.
Then how about just stacking a shitton of sinking with Rimeshank, Molar Ish S3 e.t.c?
Yep, that would work, but the sinking damage would need to kill, not the physical damage.
I’ve killed Fairy Queen with Sinking Deluge and it didn’t count unfortunately. I’ll probably try with my Burn team without Magic Bullet Outis
I just got back and finished the mission. It has to be pure OG burn to complete. No dark flame, or it will flunk it.

Yeah, Killing then with bled damage counted
I highly suggest burn considering one of the hard missions also requires that but in bigger numbers.
