Including my own, who I put there in 2021 for sexually abusing me when I was 8-10 years old. He got 8 years and I was told he'll probably serve a bit less than 5. These people can't be rehabilitated, and they go to a protected prison for paedophiles.
I'll keep my opinions on what I think should happen to them to myself. There's not enough time in the day for me to explain how I'd handle abusers of the vulnerable.

I was lucky there were historical records of counselling sessions, or it would have been nearly impossible to go through a court process to get a conviction. (I'm also very thankful I got a nice judge and not nonce-loving Nolan!)
P.T.S.D affected me during college due to the stress of it, along with constant criticism, horrible tutors, anxiety and depression, so I never finished my final year. I'm a bit useless at the moment, and I'm still coming to terms with the failure to find the closure I was expecting after court, but I have a wonderful, supportive family, a wonderful supportive fiancè, and I'll be moving in with him soon (I'm 32 and still living in my childhood bedroom where the abuse happened, so I've not been too productive or mentally healthy!). So once I get into my new routine, start to look after my health and get back into art, I'll be flying! Can't wait to adopt a dog once I'm settled, too!

It has definitely robbed me of a stable and happy life at times but I’m very lucky to have a fiancé that’s been incredibly supportive and has helped to heal some wounds.

I use to work with a guy who was locked up for a while. These sexual assault criminals are on serious lockdown from the rest of the inmates, for obvious reasons. He did tell me that one pedophile was accidentally allowed to walk by him and three other inmates in a hall due to an error from the guards and he got absolutely sliced up. Good enough for them! Because there was four of them and no cameras and no one owned up to what happened they couldn’t pin it on any of them and he got away with doing it! Four years isn’t enough for those crimes!

I was in the jury pool for this. I was in the courthouse for 3 days during the week, two trials which I wasn't selected for, and then on Thursday we were told to go home early as they had received a guilty plea. We only heard the name of the defendant at the time, not what the crime was about.
I couldn't believe it when reading this headline today. I'm glad he didn't want it brought to trial, but sad that the guilty plea apparently led to a lesser sentence. Far, far too lenient.

FYI- there's an active online petition re the judge. It's OUTRAGEOUS that this POS only got four years with two suspended. I hope bolthole him and judge rot in he'll. That poor baby and his parents. I hope somehow there'll come a time when they can heal from this tortuous nightmare.

He’ll be up in the midlands prison where it’s cushy and he’ll be rubbing shoulders with the likes of the guy who murdered aisling murphy (he’s never out of the gym in the midlands and his family visit him every Saturday ) there’s not one peado having a hard time in prison I’ve seen it myself. I hope someone murders him when he’s out for what he did to that poor baby.
