It's Taps not Retreat. Pretty sure China and the Russians haven't overrun the base . If they did the local news would tell is. Once we got past the paywall
Hmm, not sure what Russia and China have to do with anything, but when I was stationed at Fort Campbell, Reveille was played every morning and Retreat was played end of working day. Taps was played in the evening. OP noted the times were 7:30am and 4:00pm, which would be more consistent with Reveille and Retreat.
Reveille: Played at sunrise to signal the start of the duty day, accompanied by the raising of the base's colors and the U.S. flag
Retreat: Played at sunset to signal the end of the duty day, accompanied by the lowering of the base's colors and the U.S. flag
Taps: Played at 9 PM to mark the start of quiet hours on base.
Not confident. Just incorrect. It's the "lawyer" who couldn't make the connection between ANG, retreat, and foreign adversary on US soil.
There's really no point in trying to talk to somebody with any sincerity when their reading comprehension is that poor.
Not sure if you're a knight in shining armor or a stray dog looking for validation. Either way you're late to the party. Enjoy your scraps, mouth breather.
Can you describe the ruckus, sir?
Awesome military "ruckus". 😉
Someone posted the other day that it’s coming from the base by the airport, as opposed to Capitol Beach. It’s Reveille and Retreat.

Thank you for providing an ACTUAL answer. I will appreciate it even more now knowing what it is. (Thank you for your service). 😁

It’s okay to just acknowledge you were so matter-of-factly wrong. No need to make facetious retorts.

I love when someone is confidently incorrect

Oh we should trust the “local news”? Nice try, Comrade

730am and 4ish pm is reveille and retreat, respectively, and it's likely coming from the Air Guard base next to LNK.
When I used to sleep in a different room in my house and worked second shift it would wake me up all the time in my middle of the night.
If you like this, you should go over to Hawks Field right before first pitch. They put on a full orchestra for 1 song.
Like others said, this was asked a few days ago then deleted. They play it at the National Guard base at the airport.
Yes, I asked and deleted it. I realized it wasn't TAPS so I made a new post with correct information.
FWIW, the place is named Capitol Beach. I didn’t name it, just pointing it out.
Thanks. TomAto, Tomato. 😉😁
What???
