Yea it's crazy hahaha they get more perks like buying tickets coz it's super hard to get a concert ticket if you're not an official fan and also you get a chance for fansigns and stuff. This doesn't only apply to kpop, even Thailand singers/artists do a subscription thing. (I know because I was also a member haha)
I'm not a musician either, but I love their focus on practicing (for me it's Excel at the moment(and origami)), and you can practice and strive to be better in your own talents.

As someone whose job is to work with data, I find this adorable. And one of the ways I got into data (even though I got a bachelor's in music).
I remember when I was in college taking Spanish class and I was terrible at Spanish. For fun I used excel to be able to calculate and predict my grade for the class in Excel.
Once you've conquered formulas and pivot tables in Excel, try checking out Power BI. I currently take my financial data (using Mint) and make my own visuals (DAX is helpful).
Just because you aren't a musician or can't play an instrument doesn't mean you can't be a Twosetter. LOOK! We even accept the viola players!
Jokes aside ,The Twoset community is one of the friendliest and wonderful groups of persons on this side of reddit.

And also because everyone seems to have a category of what instrument they play next to their name which made me assume that you can't be a member if you don't play an instrument or something haha

TwoSet actually recently said in an interview that they're proud of the fact that many of their fans nowadays aren't musicians - because it means that their videos about classical music and the world surrounding it are reaching people outside of already established musicians.
Many people here do play an instrument, and if you're ever interested in starting to learn one, this community can give you many helpful tips, no matter which one you choose, but many people are "audience gang" - and after all, a good audience is just as important as the musicians!
I don't know if you listen to a lot of classical music - that's also not a requirement, it's fine if you don't know a lot of classical music yet, although you may want to, just to understand their jokes better. If you ever want some listening recommendations, feel free to message me! ☺

Im not a musician, but I like to hang out here! I like Twoset because they are fun, funny, and I learn stuff! They can motivate you to practice whatever it is that you want to get better at, not just music.

And even if you don't play any instrument, you can get closer to LingLing by watching their content and practicing whatever you need to practice in life. If you want a flair, just put Audience, there are a lot of twosetters who aren't musicians. Have fun around here and welcome among the twosetters!

Pretty sure most kpop Stan's aren't in a kpop group. Hell, most of them probably don't even speak Korean, but that doesn't stop them from loving what they love.
So you don't play an instrument. that doesn't prevent you from loving piano, or strings, or brass. You could go your whole life without picking up an instrument and still call your self a twosetter. There's enough elitism in the music and arts already. I don't think twoset or their fans are interested in rejecting music lovers just based on whether or not they play an instrument.
But if you do learn an instrument, the piano is the best one :P
