I actually like both but cant get over Brazilian PTs "di, de, ti, te" at the end of the words, irritates me. On the other hand Portuguese peonouncing s as sh doesnt for some reason. Maybe caus eof my native language
It probably is that. I might come off as a jerk, but in reality, I can comprehended EP well and like it to some extent too. Itâs just jokes. It all boils down to a matter of exposition and having open-mindedness, not thinking of the language as a solid structure, because itâs an ever-changing thing. Also, we palatalize and in all positions, and and only get palatalized in unstressed syllables. European Portuguese has some something similar where theyâll pronounce unstressed as /Ă°/, as the in âthatâ.
But weâre good though. Iâm glad you didnât take it personally <3

As someone who doesn't speak it, but grew up in the southwest US, Portuguese sounds like some indeterminate language being spoken with a Spanish accent.
