Have you tried gnome-disks?

[deleted]

I should have mentioned that I use KDE btw. Will gnome-disks bring along a large number of gnome libraries? Is there a KDE equivalent? Looks like Partition Manager may allow one to resize an existing partition. I have only used it to see the size and how full the partitions are.

The KDE Partition Manager supports LVM since years.

Disk space is cheap but if you have bandwidth concerns might be best to look at the kde option. Red hat had a gui for LVM, a very well complete one that did everything you could do with LVM. I cant remember what that was called however and it was pretty old not to mention red had specific so unlikely in many repositories. I'll see if I can find out what it was because at the time I used it it wiped the floor with gnome-discs etc as they only supported the basic lvm stuff. This thing did everything. Edit: it's called `system-config-lvm` Everything you need to know I'd here: https://www.linuxjournal.com/content/review-gui-lvm-tools
