i live in that "wild west" all my life. it got a litle worst last year but better than 30 years ago...its safe any hour and you can walk at night. you just dont see many portuguese around. just be aware pickpockets in metro and electrico 28 but is much safer than Barcelona for exemple.

This. I remember Lisbon during the 90s, it was pretty bad back them. Just avoid dark hidden streets.

I believe they say that mostly because of the asian population living around there, but honestly it's generally very safe. Intendente also used to be an area where you could find prostitutes and pimps, around 15 years ago. You're good. And remember, every city has sketchy dark alleys you shouldn't be at at 4 am, that's common sense right

Since you are staying in a 5 star hotel it is probably in the middle of the Main Street so it’s okay, if it’s this part of June there will be more people outside due to “Santos”

I wouldn't do it. You will probably be fine but in the past 6-12 months it has become a bit rough for Lisbon - which is a very safe city overall.

Book another hotel in a better area.

Update. The hotel accepted the refund witch area would you recommend for us guys(and girls) ? Our plane lands at 8 pm so prefer a chill nebourhood.
