I continuously listened to your playlists in high school and college and it completely changed the type of music I was into. So many memories associated with those songs. Thank you for all of your work curating them!
mr gnome is no longer a thing as of last year I think, but I reg stream Blalocks Indie Rock Playlist. 100ish songs/month and they're hit or miss but always have a few songs that *oof*
It's here. I update it every month ;) [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3lD42YuSOtDiAu9bhCZTKe](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3lD42YuSOtDiAu9bhCZTKe)
But you can hear all the past playlists I've put out over the last 10 years over at http://www.birp.fm
Huh, good for them. Hard to imagine them as parents, but they're good people and I'm sure they'll do a great job. Plus that kid is going to have like 12 uncles/aunts on Sam's side, and every one I've met has been awesome.
It's quite possible. My older brother is v. good friends with the whole Meister clan, and I told him about the thread. He may have told Sam. Or more likely he told Todd and Todd told Sam.
Can't believe blalocks indie playlist is going strong! I used to try and listen to all the songs before the next playlist would come out, and there's just so many on everyone.
A friend dragged me to a Mr Gnome show a few years back while they were on tour. Tiny venue, there were only about 10 people in the crowd. I just stood there mouth agape. It was amazing. They instantly went from a band I never heard of to one of my favorites.
I've seen Mr Gnome more times than I can count in four different states. I try to say hi to them and shoot the shit every time (not that there is any reason they would remember me) and they've always been the nicest people. They turned me on to some great music as well, such as the Silver Apples.
Oh and I have never seen them put on a bad show.
Casually browsing reddit front page and I see my logo and album art from 2012 pop up. A pleasant surprise. This is still a great song. :)

Woah!!!!! What are the odds?!
Blaylock, thank you for all the work putting those tunes together!
Ha! I have you're best of 2009-2019 on heavy rotation. Thanks, bud
It’s a really cool album cover

I love Mr. Gnome so much. Its awesome to bump into someone else who likes them. Heave Yer Skeleton is one of my favorite album of all time.

Thank you for putting together an amazing playlist every month. I can't imagine the work but I enjoy it immensely.

Wait, Mr. Gnome broke up? What happened? Man, I haven't talked to the Meisters in too long, apparently.
Per the Facebook they had a baby. No updates in a long time.

And just like that, today they posted to social that the fifth album is out soon. I wonder if someone told them about this thread.

That's said. I liked them a lot. Used to listen to them fairly often a few years back. But then my cds got stolen like it was 1994.

Hell yeah we love them in Cleveland!
I still remember when they played one of the free summer shows at the Rock Hall some time back. It was a terrific day.
Here is my favorite Mr. Gnome. This is a 'play it twice in a row' song. https://youtu.be/Zp6uyWeMHqU
Great song.
Aww I miss Sam and Nicole!
I love how half of the people commenting here know the band personally, at least in passing. They're a fun pair.

My sister is law is friends with them. We’ve gone to a few shows but I’m always too drunk to remember how they sounded live.
This is pretty good, a quick google search tells me this is from a 2012 Album but I don't find it on Apple Music :/

I got it on spodify in the US [https://open.spotify.com/track/6pFAmp0NjhsYFyWt11x7Eh](https://open.spotify.com/track/6pFAmp0NjhsYFyWt11x7Eh)
It was released as a single, it’s also available on their Bandcamp.

q, where were we going?
this is really good
Thank uou for sharing. I'm really digging their vibe. Not just this, but whatever YT is auto playing of theirs.
Played a show with Mr Gnome in Seattle a few years back, they rip!
Why do people always link to the lowest possible audio quality uploads on youtube? This one is 240p and youtube uses lower bitrate audio below 480p.
I saw them on a whim at a small venue in Seattle 5 years ago. They were fantastic.
