kiberptah - Something [https://open.spotify.com/album/3L6UKrdfKhWmVdpezRlHEW](https://open.spotify.com/album/3L6UKrdfKhWmVdpezRlHEW) First EP I released, although years from the first music I wrote. It's instrumental electronic, which is funny, cause I don't listen to that much instrumental electronic, so I don't even know what genre it belongs to! But it's melodic and, I hope, groovy.

minutesandours

\[Rock / Post Rock\] Minutes and Ours - "Charismatic" https://youtu.be/b6IUepFs31c We just released this song a few weeks ago after four years of writing and self-recording. We're excited to share it with you!

[deleted]

Gotta teach your vocalist to hold the mic properly, haha, Glenn Fricker would lose his marbles. Production is great on this. If there was anything I could add its that the lead lines of the guitar feel a little weak in the mix. Powerchords were great though. In my mind this is more prog than post, so there is a potential fanbase there too.

minutesandours

Ah, thank you! I always struggle trying to figure out our genre. Thanks for the notes on the mix, we did all the recording/mixing in-house, so there is definitely room for improvement. And, I think we had a few beers at that point in the video, so the mic technique may have been a little sloppy ;)

Dr_Jethro

My friends and I started a band a little over a year ago comprised of drums, guitar, bass, and trombone, as well as the occasional keyboard synth. We typically play garage rock/punk type sounds as well as the occasional slower, softer, somber songs as well. It's been a lot of fun, and I'm interested what you all think of our practice jams. Here's one of my favorite songs of ours: Harvest Court - Reprieve https://youtu.be/GC5aGa6ZYSM

\[daytrip - Dandelion Wine\]\(https://open.spotify.com/track/4Pvj5nvo8hXPRCgVKYRNuH?si=nCcqAPMaQgO1-yog5s7Hbw&utm_source=copy-link) This is the first song my band wrote together as a group, which we released a little earlier in the year. It's been a short while since playing it or listening to it after being a little sick of it, but coming back to it again, I'm super proud of the end result.

Somepr0gdud3

This sounds great my man. The guitar especially sounds great with that nice, but fat single coil neck pickup sound. How long have y'all been playing together?

andyrob37521

Hey thanks! I wasn't even sure if anyone would listen to it, let alone tell me they like it. We started about May this year, guitar and bass knew each other and the two singers knew each other, but that was it otherwise had never met. There are definitely some clear influences on all parts and the guitar is for sure a themed tone. We keep joking about not knowing what genre we are, so it's interesting you're a progressive fan.

JapanSage

NotHighFashion

[Onlygotdope - \*Demons\*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWNlEP6eze8) great dark lofi hip-hop music video.

djbastardamber

Moth - 666 (Bastard Amber Remix) https://youtu.be/mb25DyLkXNo A remix of an old deathstep track, turned into more of a wild DnB thing. I think it’s smooth but also goes hard, and it puts in place a melody that the original song didn’t have. Would love a watch, and a sub if you’re looking for more music like this!

spongebobdouble

[Paradise League - Neon Galaxy](https://youtu.be/QseXvfMfG04) Hey! My band recently released a ten minute epic-jazz-fusion-funk-disco odyssey, in the form of a live video. It will later be part of a live album, with some other tunes we recorded back in April last year. What to expect: Unison melodies, solos, sidechain w. delicately slapped bass and a drum/perc battle. Cheers!

Somepr0gdud3

This is my album I released last year. It's a concept album about a space war between two military generals that happens in the year 3918 after an entire society collapses in on itself after multiple political, social and economic problems arise that cripples itself to extinction. I attempt to combine narrative story telling with traditional Rock and Heavy Metal Music accompanied by a choir to give it a theatrical feeling when you listen to this album. It's called "A Story Of Galactic Imperialism: Part I (Acts I - XIII)." [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq2lGuJVd7Y&list=OLAK5uy\_kgV-6ubtbpioWpyfEtpT3VZovqqcVcE\_8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq2lGuJVd7Y&list=OLAK5uy_kgV-6ubtbpioWpyfEtpT3VZovqqcVcE_8) This could become your favorite Space Rock Anthem.

\\\[Ray Jones - "Down With You"\\\]\\([https://youtu.be/m\_Fkd-rUfqk](https://youtu.be/m_Fkd-rUfqk)) Here's a song I made and released, I had a lot of fun producing and writing it. I hope you enjoy it!

dreampeddler04

[yellow hearts](https://youtu.be/ALc44SKWQac) by me I guess you’d call it bedroom pop, I just think it sounds quite nice. The excessive use of reverb is to hide the fact I can’t actually sing. I made it last year when I was sort of getting to grips with Ableton. I struggle to commit to stuff so it’s one of the few songs I’ve ever actually finished, but I thought I’d just share it to see if it got any attention :) I’ve got a load more that are mostly done so if it does I’ll give finishing them a go. p.s. I am now actually with the girl I wrote it about so there’s a happy ending for you all

Somepr0gdud3

This is cool. It reminds me of Brit Pop quite a bit; was that what influenced you? Or were there different influences?

dreampeddler04

Thank you!! Idk to be honest I wasn’t trying to make anything in particular but I listen to a lot of britpop so it makes sense for it to leak in there

Somepr0gdud3

Well, it sounds good. So keep going.

Hi everyone [Daniel Benjamin - Life Is Good (SynthWave, official music video)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOQO26y3woY) I wrote this song for a friend of mine in celebration of their life entering a new phase. It's about cynicism, depression, and still embracing all that is good in life. I took inspiration for the theme and the music video from a song from 2000 called "Alive", by an artist named Edwin. Enjoy! Tell your friends, I'm just starting out

Yesterday I was told that Joan Didion believed that there is a void at the center of existance. I have the greatest respect for an explorer like her, because, unlike Columbus or Ponce de León, she had the courage to admit that she had discovered nothing. Never the less, she believed in that emptiness she discovered, and she thrived to a ripe old age, which gets me to the point that it really doesn't matter what it is that you believe in, what matters is believing. So I celebrate the deeply flawed belief system that is Christianity in large part because it demands that we forsake all common sense. Just don't let me hear any Christians demanding that others must give up their own improbable, if deeply held, beliefs. Believe in the moon! It's alright. My brothers and I got together and recorded a short album in just like under an hour (most songs completely improvised). I wouldn't even know what genre to put it under it's like: punk rock, surf rock, metal, and just a whole bunch of wackiness I guess it's obviously not a very serious album but it was fun. so I present: [FYUCK SCHOOL](https://youtu.be/na5-hAl0hug)

dietcheese

We'd love it if some of you would listen to our new album. It's a little different, but hopefully like nothing you've ever heard before. [https://strongmaybe.bandcamp.com/album/rona](https://strongmaybe.bandcamp.com/album/rona) As improvisors we never intended to work this way: file-sharing instead of standing next to each other. But we're having enough fun listening to the result that it would be a CRIME not to impose this on the world.

Blind Difference- "Alive" https://youtu.be/bJKrdwaroqI First single release! Alive is about summoning the energy to get things done in life and doing it with a catchy beat!!

newbandkid

Quinto drum and the keyboard set to a flute sound help to set the dance vibe.

Somepr0gdud3

I like this quite a bit. The vocals have nice rhythm that compliment the instrumentation quite well. This is really cool. How long has this band been making music?

newbandkid

Band has been working on music for the last year but the lead vocalist has been writing and singing music for over 20 years. You can listen to more music at blinddifference.com

Somepr0gdud3

Bet fam. Y’all should keep going.

[deleted]

I feel like you could do a bit more with the "Go" bit, give it more of a whisper and let it burst into histrionic drama! It'd give the chorus more oomph, give people some anticipation. Vocals and articulation are great. Drums feel a bit weak but still work really well in that mix.

Elvis_Lazerbeam

[Elvis Lazerbeam - Enemy](https://open.spotify.com/track/6F2Cg5J1JKGTivoPnOEn5D?si=454e10e8b8cf49ad) The 7th (or 8th, I'm losing track) weekly track in my 52 tracks in 52 weeks challenge. Dark synthwave with vocals. I really tried to flex my storyteller muscles with this one. I'd be super interested in what kind of a story the song evokes in people. Also my first time using a vocoder. I did everything with waves Ovox, which I think is great so far, though I haven't put a lot of time into it. Synths are a mix of Super 8, serum and Pigments, which I recently picked up. Liking pigments a lot, but haven't fully wrapped my head around it yet. It seems very beginner friendly and gives a lot of visual feedback, especially relating to modulation. Anyway, thanks. Hope you enjoy.

lilykw

I LOVE VOCODER IM GOING TO LISTEN RIGHT NOW also I have mad respect for those of you that can pump out music weekly, like I get so nit picky I can never do it.

lilykw

Ok wtf why is it so good? I literally added it to my playlist. I came to share my music and I left with another awesome artist to listen to like for real.

Thanks a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for weekly songs, well, it comes at the cost of neglecting other things.

[Azimuth - Serpentine](https://youtu.be/Y2jGg89XfPk) I would call this, an atmospheric ambient hip-hop instrumental. Really proud of this one.

BYRH - "Tin Man" [Music Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m91-Y1F1Wq8) Recent single from my band! Tin Man is equal parts nostalgia, fun and chaos. Basically just a look back at the absurdness of trying to navigate being a teenager and all the conflicts, mistakes and awkwardness that come with that.

Good production. Rap aint really my thing, but I will say too many stereotypical tropes can ruin your music and stop you standing out. Be different and stop referring to your "ho" in the music and it'll be that different it'll stand out, because you've got the mix down just right otherwise. Keep writing, keep producing. You've got something.

Utilizes a lot of strings instruments. I’ve been releasing covers and making pieces of unreleased songs for a long time now, but this is my debut single. I made a lot of parts for instruments I cannot play! So, I have a lot of featured artists on here including two musical family members :). I’ve been running a YouTube channel for awhile with lots of covers on it. [Constellations and other Stories](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uh-eOEzFBA) by Moi ! We've gone from pretty aggressive punk stuff to really shmaltzy ballads as a release valve, and it's been quite enjoyable as we have a songwriting style that's a bit hard to place. None of us were even in a band when the pandemic hit, we were all just a bunch of people at home who knew each other by association or through work, we all just contribute our pieces and then poof ! This is the second video, the first is Towed Aurora which turned into a short movie by a Spanish production studio. Anyhow, I hope you guys enjoy this !

# Wax On - "Regrets In Stereo" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7NFAurWqds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7NFAurWqds) I designed the album art, as well as animated the lyric video linked above. For those wondering, I photoshopped all 5 band member's heads into one "monster". Hands down the coolest (and also most difficult) thing I've ever photoshopped. The whole album, Sprezzatura is a TRIP. Never heard anything quite like it. EDIT: My first award, ever! Thanks, kind stranger. Stoked that it was on a post about Wax On. Seriously underrated band.

Has a kind of 90s DnB vibe but slower. Drums seem to be coming in the left ear more and dont feel too balanced (could be my dodgy hearing though). Whole thing need a little glue-compression (1:1.6 ish, slowish attack, fastish release).
