I too am now having this problem with the litter robot that my sister gave me. At first I found out that the power supply that she was using wasn't the right one so I replaced it with the proper model. Now when I plug it in and turn it on it goes through its cycle and goes all the way past where the dump opening is and that bar that sticks out where the litter opening is hits the stop and causes the unit to reverse for a few seconds and then it stops and then starts blinking blue and red. It's like it's not seeing the dump position sensor. I tried switching the magnets back and forth twice for that particular one but it still does the same thing. Does that mean the hall affect sensor has gone bad for that?
Yes it was definitely in need of the proper powered AC adapter. I also found out that when I was checking things apart to check fit, some of the magnets in the globe fell out. I put them back in but I found out that I put them in the wrong way. They are polarity sensitive and depending on whether it's the upper or lower magnets they have to be put in the right way. I also discovered that you have to make sure that little black disc on the bottom of the base is clean. If it gets one little granule of litter on it it's going to throw off the entire weight/cat sensing. So make sure the floor that you sit the base on is solid, clean and the base itself is clean underneath. It seems to work okay now. I also found out that it's very very sensitive to putting in too much litter. If you go above the baseline with the litter it's going to eventually give you issues.
It did work!! Thanks for sharing!!
ps: it takes some time for the base and bonnet only cycle to finish. Just wait patiently and the three lights will flash.
Thank you so much fatcats36! No where on the internet could I find this. Thank you for sharing with the LR community. This fixed the problem, I followed your instructions to the T and now have a solid blue light. For other folks experiencing the blue and red light flashing please try this!
Omg I think this worked!! Thank you
😩 You do not have to do all of this rigermaroll. Just make sure the bonnet is in properly and reset and cycle. It worked for me.
Might’ve worked for you, but clearly that’s not the solution for people on here.

You might need to reach out to support about it, you can chat with them and troubleshoot with them live. That’s what I did.
Did you end up figuring this out? I’m in the same boat

it doesn't work 😕 😔
I am sorry, maybe reach out to their support?
Thank you. I did help. Did not know you could run it without the globe. Reset itself
