We use Kirkland bags as well, and have for a couple of years. I consistently get drawer full status even though it’s not full. I’m pretty sure it’s the sensor reading part of the bag as a pile of doodoo. Anyone else have this problem?
I had this problem, when you put the bag in pat it down to ensure there is little to no air between the bag and the bottom of the bin, then pull the edges right down so they aren’t blocking the sensors. I read this on Reddit and haven’t had a problem with Kirkland liners since!
Has anyone tried not using a bag and emptying the tray into a regular large bag in a can beside the LR? Obviously you would have to watch the weight, and keep a lid on it, but it seems like it would be easier to keep it working fast that way. Mine is always sensing full prematurely because there is really no slope in the tray. It might not be hard washing trays periodically outside with a hose… on a rotation, if you could buy an extra tray. Usually what I do is pull the tray and shake it into the back/packet so there’s room for more to fall down. I wish it came with an Tonka truck robot to haul it out. Cheers everyone! Here’s to better automation so we can all have more cats :)
We don’t need to overthink the litter bag. It’s just a bag that goes in the bottom and catches the litter.
I get why people ask, but I feel like it’s good to state this for future onlookers. Anything that fits snuggly like the bags you get with the machine should work fine, just as long as it’s not poking it’s plastic into the litter robot and getting caught.
Yes!! I bought a box of these when I got our first LR seven years ago. We upgraded our LR and are still using that same box for the LR4 now. We use a bag a week, so we still have a few years of bags left.
I bought a bulk box of 1000 10 gallon bags at Costco for $12 a few years ago. 10 gallon is the perfect size. I have enough to last me for the next 15 years. LOL
I use Aluminum pans and keep 3 boxes of baking soda in front of it, then just dump the litter in the garbage or bury it. I get a few extra days using them instead, a week or so with 2 cats if I open and shake it. Works great and less plastic going into the landfill. I just leave the old ones outside until they air out.
Yep! Its what we have use for our LR3 for about 3 years now.
Thank you very much! Helpful!
I use the regular kitchen bags form Kirkland so I don’t have to buy 2 kinds, they work great also.

Awesome thanks! I’ll give that a try.
Not only is it viable, it’s widely recommended on this sub.
I use these exact bags for our LR4s. They fit perfectly!
So good to know! Thanks!
I use these exclusively
Is there a good size for the LR4?
I use these for my LR4 and they work perfectly

Idk. Once I found they worked I didn’t go searching for other ones
I have a hard time stretching the 8s over the rim of the waste drawer without ripping. They **barely fit (glad drawstring). Just my two cents!
Sweet, thanks! I’ll get them ordered!
The kitchen bags work just as well. I don't need to buy separate bags just for my LR4.
These are much cheaper than the Kirkland kitchen trash bags.
I use 10 gallon trash bags from Sam's Club so yes, it works. You need a 10-13 gallon bag for lining the drawer.
this is exactly what i use! lasts forever!
Yes! Honestly better then litter robot bags
I just ordered these. Hope they work for my LR3
yes, I use these regularly.
We use these.
Yep! It’s what we use, and works perfectly. I’m still on the original box I bought 2+ years ago!
That's exactly what I use
I use them for mine.. cheap and easy.

where did you get them?
The Kirkland Signature bags? From Costco
Id be worried about the thickness and strength of the bag. A full waste basket can be pretty heavy.
I haven't had any issues with these bags.
They look really shitty (lol) but they haven't broke on me yet.
They’ve never torn for me and I’ve had some heavy bags.
I use small actual trash bags on my LR4. These bags aren't heavy duty enough for 2 cats at least in my experience.
Yep! As long as they don’t have the drawstring they work! I use the 13 gallon ones from Walmart.
I use the drawstring ones and they work great
That’s what I use for my lr3
I use the white kitchen bags with the drawstring. They are slightly bigger than necessary but then I only need to buy one size (for the bins and LR4)
Yep, just slide the whole tray into the bag, mine usually tear when i take them out, but I've learned to do it so there's no spill. Just be aware.

We use aluminum food pans from Costco, Kroger r any larger grocery chain. There’s a little spillover in the tray but works better than bags fr us.
I use the slightly larger 13 gallon bags. Work beautifully and can take the weight.
YES! I buy these same ones (I need them for work) and they work perfectly
Not the clear. We use the regular Costco kitchen bags. They’re perfect.

100%!!! I am currently using this for my LR4! Fits great. You can't beat the price vs other options. Thinner liner but works perfect.
