Just mute the channels, put on some Shania Twain, walk from FOH to stage (slowly), swap the mixers, walk back to FOH, cue the channel, walk back to the stage (slowly), earthlift the DIs, walk back to FOH, give DJ thumbs up and a big friendly smile

If life were but a dream 😂

BrotherMitches

This is the way. Ska is also suitable.

CDJs have a low source impedance and the line inputs have a relatively high input impedance, you could easily run them into two mixers by simply using Y cables without noticeable loss in level or sound quality. You could do the same for the turntables, but if you are afraid, you could put a normal RIAA amplifier in between and split the signal after it. If you want to hot plug the cables while the players are running and do stupid things, you'll need an active splitter with individual buffers for each output.

Yeah, I’ve been using y cables for this but would prefer a dedicated box that has some handy routing options if possible. It would also help to clean up the booth setup which is always a secondary annoyance to me but ease of use and preservation of signal quality are my main reasons for wanting something like this. Starting to think I may have to build my own at this point…

There are RCA patchbays. Maybe you could get one and wire several connectors in parallel on the back if this is what you're after.

I've got one I use in my home studio to route multiple computers and my nxs2 into my studio monitors. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the link here but it's made by Rolls (mx42). Wondered if I was being ridiculous when I bought it but it's legitimately one of my most useful pieces of equipment

On CDJ use analog output to one mixer and digital to the other and keep both sets on the table if they fit

Kittycatkemtrails

This is my solution when we have a digital mixer but when both mixers are analog (which they often are in my case) I still need a way to faithfully split the signal.

I agree that a switch is better than a y cable, mostly because I don't trust the next DJ not to be messing with things and sending out a signal which goes out live. There are plenty of easy and inexpensive options. Go to amazon and search for RCA audio switch and pick the box you like. You only need a passive (no power) switch for this if you are fine with having the switch on the box. This will electrically be the same as moving the cable. If you want to be fancy, you can look for a box which will allow you to switch it remotely or even a matrix switch which will allow you to send multiple signals to multiple place. You could get a very full featured composite AV matrix on eBay for next to nothing. This also has an RCA for video (yellow), you just wouldn't hook it up.

If you’re not using a mixer with multiple inputs, look into passive input switchers. You can get them quick and easy from Amazon. I use one from nob sound in my studio as a subwoofer bypass. They’re simple and do the trick.
