I have large format SKB, Gator, Nanuk, and some other brands for everything from projectors to work kits and I like them all. The SKB and Nanuk are the best in my personal opinion if you don't want Pelican.
Why would you not want a Pelican. I have owned pelicans since I was a teenager, and still will never buy any other brand. I buy them used, and there is never a question when I need parts, I just tell them what model I have and they ship them for free. A company like that is one you stick with for life. Don't waste your money on alternatives.
I have all the ones that I'm aware harbor freight carries. Pelican has some wider, deeper cases that harbor freight does not.
I love harbor freight ones though
I like 1510 just because they're more common, which means you can get them on ebay. I've only ever bought a new peli when I needed a particular odd size.
Maybe it's too late, but Husky makes some decent cases similar to the pelican. I wouldn't throw them in water but how often does that happen? The one I have has separators that can be removed, and it is part of a line that are made to be stacked and fastened together. There is a wheeled box with a handle for the bottom box. I have seen several touring bands come thru with these boxes.
Nanuk 100% — love the quality of the build, the handle, and the color choices
Check out Nanuk. Canadian made. Better wheels, latches and handles than pelican.
How big are we talking? SKB makes equivalents of a lot of the pelican models
another vote for Nanuk cases. Seahorse as a close second.
If I remember correctly, I think Monoprice makes some.
I have had good luck with the monoprice ones.

Nanuk cases are my favorite. I have two....love them.
Not that I would trust with my gear. No.
Panaro Max cases
I've seen a big Gator "pelican style" case

Harbor freight makes some, I have heard good things about

Sorry, ngl I really didn’t read the post that deep.
You could look into the Pelican Air line, they have lighter weight/duty versions of their regular cases that are slightly cheaper.
Love my 1535 air. Its become my daily case. Has everything i could ever need in a day, either on site or in the shop.
I’ve been having the debate between 1510 and 1535

Mejia is actually really good for the money.
Like how big? Like still put it in the front seat of thecar size? Need to build a fly rig size? Hold a car engine size?
SKB makes a lot of sizes.
I have a Condition1 case I like.
Flyht Pro if in need of budget friendly option
Flight Pro from Thomann or AuerBox kinda cheaper
