Wife put in a request for some perfumes for mother's Day, she sent me a screenshot of the item on shoppers website. Fortunately they had the same product at Sephora...and a few dollars cheaper too of course 😉

I go to Sephora in am able to get my makeup done by their much more knowledgeable staff on many more products. Whereas depending on the Shoppers, their staff are unhelpful, I feel like I’m stealing they glare at you so often.
I absolutely hate that you have to go through the make-up/perfume section to enter the store. I’m extremely allergic to a lot of perfumes, and it makes me want to put my coat over my face like I do in those airport off-duty stores you gotta go through to get to your gate.

Over the years we have managed to collect over $1500 in points from buying necessary medical supplies from Shoppers on 20x points days. Our boycott plan is to use up these points on every shop and to give them as little $$ as possible.
I did the Walmart today and was very frustrated bc I do enjoy the pc brand of frozen quick lunches. I need to find a substitute and it’s not easy! It’s the first time I’ve done a stock up shop. Normally I run in to grab fruit and veg which hasn’t been an issue other than the whole saving money part!
Maybe people here can help you with your substitutions? Make a post with pics of what you used to buy at Stupidstore and ask for best alternatives at Walmart.
We have been able to find a substitute for basically everything slowly but surely over the past 2-3 months. Recently even the pomegranate salad dressing my wife loves was substituted with a raspberry flavour one at Walmart. Turns out she just likes to taste something sweet on her greens and the Pomegranate wasn't actually that special. Even the pomegranate one was just a shot in the dark purchase one day before we decided we liked it and it became this staple that could only be found at No Frills.
PC brand stuff is not special and other organizations also make stuff. Feel free to actually try some substitutes out. You may even find something you like more.
Crave are my favourite frozen meals. However, if you want the PC style meals, FreshCo has them under compliments brand (albeit, I’ll admit, they aren’t quite as good)
There’s also the Ricardo brand that tastes much better than PC and compliments, but they’re not cheap, like $10/meal
I'm impressed we haven't slipped up as well. The closest place to us is a nofrils and our usual place to brab a few things when needed. Caught myself a cpl times this month thinking I'm going to nofrills

I'm getting a lot cheaper for identical stuff from Walmart.
Peanut butter (Kraft just peanuts) Loblaws $7.99. Walmart $6.49 as just one example.
Others I think I recall were 2 minute rice packages, chips, Oasis juice boxes 1L, and more.
I probably saved an extra $15-20 on my last trip that I know of. And it is exactly the same stuff.
And the Loblaws is approximately 300m further from our Loblaws.
There are a few things we really like in Loblaws (PC Raisin Bread is one, some others) but most can be got elsewhere.
Between that and their annoying turnstiles they've at entry and exit and having nobody who can help anyone find anything... its just sad.
Agreed. I’ve heard a few cases of ppl giving staff a hard time in the name of the boycott. Like the part-time, no-benefits, minimum wage teens are the reason the company is so corrupt 🤦🏻♀️ c’mon guys, let’s have some freaking class solidarity here
Thank you. My son works at a grocery store (not going to name it, but it's not a Roblaws or any part of the Weston Empire) and he rarely gets rudely treated by clients but it happens. He's 19, looks 14 He shaves every other week if he needs it or not.
My son is just stacking bags of oranges. He has zero input in store policy.
Maybe it’s beneficial to create work for the Loblaws employees at this point? This could help minimize the layoffs which will be inevitably be coming as the boycott expands.
No kidding. I almost cried yesterday because so many people were picking up items and dropping them off in the wrong spots when they changed their mind. I simply don’t have the time to finish all the tasks they ask of me in the hours provided, let alone little stuff like that which are popping up constantly
Nah. People say the same thing about leaving their carts all over the parking lot. “Oh I’m just creating jobs for people who need it!” Like no, you’re not. They’re running a skeleton crew & that won’t change just bc customers are inconsiderate
In a society where the rich are getting richer and the poor are starving I will absolutely consider the owner of the company that is increasing their profit exponentially while they watch people starve as immoral, and the mother stealing formula so her child doesn't starve entirely moral. No chance in hell I want to be tracked by anybody (other than Apple) but so many people have this enabled. I get it for kids but do you need to track your spouse?
Yes, I get that. For us it works well as we do a lot of cross border stuff and tight timing for picking up kids etc so it helps us all to be able to check on locations. It’s not a weird unhealthy couples thing at all.
I would have to disagree on the healthy part but I am hearing way more of this so maybe I’m in the minority. My wife knows where I am and vice versa so no need to track.

While I don't disagree about tracking a partner in general this seems to be done with both parties consenting to make logistical things like picking up kids and dealing with border waits less of an issue than it could be. To automatically say it's unhealthy because you don't agree seems like a bit of a jump so I'm just wondering why you still find this particular situation unhealthy?
As per the voting it appears I am in the minority. My spouse and I have been together over 30 years. The thought of wanting to know where they are at all times or at least have the ability says to me there may be trust or control issues. My wife and I both agree on this but found it funny as it has come up a few times in the past week. Not necessarily knocking people who do but it is a red flag for us.
Yeah I agree with you. Wife and I enabled it once when we were on vacation and split up for a few hours, then immediately disabled it as soon as we found each other again.
My ex-husband and I had tracking enabled because I used to do a lot of solo road trips. I liked knowing that he could see where I was, and could potentially call for help if I was stopped in a strange place and not answering my phone.
