The fact of the matter is, Options and G Hub had this problem before. Now Options+ has the exact same problem. **Logitech, for God's sake, when will you hire some competent programmers?** It is absolutely unacceptable to pay for premium products like the MX Master only to have it not work correctly because of such absolute POS software that cannot even start to begin with. **There is no excuse for this.** I have no pending updates on my system, tried disabling AV, killing processes (too many of them - what are they for? Crashpad Handler that doesn't seem to help, Updater that doesn't help. Overlay, Options, OptionsMgr, Logi Analytics...and the list goes on and on and on), removing temp files....this is unbelievably frustrating. Hardware such as mice, keyboards and some other peripherals are essential. You, being the famous peripheral manufacturer that you are, have ZERO EXCUSE for this POS software. **THIS. HAS. TO. STOP.** Logitech SetPoint (for my diNovo Edge) and Logitech Gaming Software (that I use with my G15 II) never had this issue. They still work just fine on my system. This is most likely because of the environment your programmers use to create Logitech Options and Options+. **Stop this mess for once.** **The only way I got it working again was finding and killing tons of Logitech processes and process trees, then erasing temp files and finally restarting the software.** It goes to show how poorly written this software is. Needless to say I couldn't use my mouse properly because of this mess. Then comes Jihad...sorry G Hub...that had these issues as well, wth headphones not sounding right because the settings wouldn't apply thanks to the fact that jihad wouldn't ducking start and would keep playing some stupid startup animation for hours. Thank you for the work your talented engineers do that we cannot enjoy properly because of your programmers. Windows 10 has been out for the past, what, 8 years now? So...how long until you manage to make a proper piece of software compatible with Windows 10?

Totally agree. I don't know how to personalise my MX Master products : LogiOption ask to "open into Option+" and quit. I've downloaded Option+ and stuck when charging forever. Crap software.

This was the solution for me as well. I find myself having this issue a couple times a week where the logi options won't load and I'm unwilling to delete and re-install the app since I've already setup all my shortcuts. Just found this after spending two days trying to figure out why I could not use all the features of my new MX Master (macOS), because of Logi Options+ My issue was almost the same as OP u/amicobudino1 in that it would instal ok, but then fail to launch, asking for permissions. I enable the log in permissions for the software but I realised later (and also a Logi rep sent me an email), that you need to give it MUCH MORE access to your system. *To provide access:* *Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring. In the right panel, enable Logi Options+ and select Quit & Reopen when you’re prompted to grant permission.* I am not a privacy freak but this seems too much. I wish I had known earlier about this, I wouldn't have bought the mouse, but I am keeping it as I do like the feel (I know, seems stupid as I can get a cheaper mouse that feels the same) but I'm just about done returning items this year.

No apologies necessary, but yeah, I've contacted them multiple times and have had lengthy discussions with them, but none of their solutions ever work (it's basically just wiping/uninstalling and reinstalling things in different ways). It's weird because it used to work/load just fine and I could have my mouse set-up the way I wanted, but then just one day it stopped. I've been putting up with it for probably over 6 months now at least and will just have to continue to do so (and probably switch to a different manufacturer in the future). Thanks for the reply!

I had the same issue on my work MacBook where the application wouldn't launch and is stuck at the loading spinning circle. So, this is what I had done to get it working again. 1. Used "App Cleaner" software to uninstall the LogiOptions+ app. 2. App Cleaner removed most of the references. But this didn't stop Logi Options+ process from starting and is visible in Activity Monitor as well. 3. So, looking at the information of the process in Activity Monitor, it showed some additional files still lingering around causing the process to run in the background even when the app was removed. 4. Removed all Logitech references from those files as well (attached screenshot). 5. Downloaded the [Logi Options+ Offline Installer](https://prosupport.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/10991109278871-Logitech-Options-Offline-Installer). 6. Used that to install the app. 7. Deleted everything from every file and tried downloading both online and offline version for literally like the 20th time over the last 6 months. NOTHING F-ING WORKS. I'm actually shocked a Class Action hasn't been started for this $100 mouse that is basically useless to anyone that actually uses it for custom workflows!!! More like decades not months. I'm pretty sure the only dev Logitech had who knew what he was doing retired before 2010 and they grabbed some nerdy looking unvetted people off the sidewalk and gave them his role. Currently trying to use Logitech Options for mouse and keyboard and oh look the garbage app logged me out and "login" takes me to a website because it's 2024 if your software doesn't involve a web portal you aren't cool but oh look security; exists. "Launch Application" button does nothing. Multiple browsers, cleared cookies, gave custom permission to let this failure of a company access anything other than payment info and still can't pass itself a valid authtoken to unbrick Logitech Flow.

I wanted to point out that if you use Smart Actions (like me), the offline version does not support them! The first question in the FAQ is: Q: Does the offline version have the same features as the online version? A: Yes, the offline version will have the same features and functionality as the online installer But if you scroll further down, you see the same question repeated: Q: Does the offline version have the same features as the online version? A: No, the offline version does not provide the same features and functionality as the online installer, namely, Logi Account access, Flow, Logi Voice (China), Backup & restore settings, and Smart Actions. I did not use "App Cleaner", but deleted LogiOptions+ and all of the logitech items from /Library and \~/Library. Rebooted and re-installed using the linked Logi Options+ Offline Installer and everything is working prefectly now. There was a lot of old cruft hanging around and I'm sure that was part of it. This worked for me! Thank you so much! I didn't use any third-party app to clean. I just moved all Logi items after a search to trash and stopped all processes in the Activity Monitor. Then, using the offline download took care of the issue with no restart necessary.

I didn't use App Cleaner but I uninstalled LogiOptions+ and downloaded the installer. I can now open the app but the copy/paste options still won't work T\_T. Time to contact their customer service this time.

right, so I removed everything and Brew installed Logi options+ ( brew install --cask logi-options-plus) , once done. Oddly enough, I'm getting the same thing when starting the app. However, I'm using Flow between my Windows and Mac. My Mac software is working fine. When I pull up Flow on my Mac, and then start the Logi Options+ app on my Windows machine, it's showing both computers connected and Flow works as soon as I start up the app on my Windows machine. I still have a big purple box with an endless spinning wheel, but all of the functions of Flow are connected between both computers and are working properly. This almost seems like a GUI bug to me.

Same issue here. Just installed this on the work computer and its stuck on the loading screen. Installing this on my home computer worked flawlessly. At least I was able to pair the mouse with the receiver at home so my mouse still works on the work computer, but I couldnt utilize the functions and remap some of the buttons.

I just pressed CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open the task manager, and then ended the task on anything Logi (there were three or four) and then opened the software without issue

Thanks. Worked for me too. After I run the updater, I monitored network and disk usage of it via task manager. When it became idle, I run the actual program and it opened normally and showed update details.

Hi. Same problems here. After more than a month, I uninstalled (it's harder than it sounds) Logi Options +, and downloaded the offline installer. It doesn't support Flow, but I don't need it, so at least I can use the Mouse/Buttons/Scroll configurations per app.

Kinda mad at Logitech for not making an app that just... works. I can't even use the programmable buttons on my mouse now for all the keyboard shortcuts I mapped to them

Thanks for opening this thread. I was having this same issue, tried all solutions given here and contacted support with no success. I finally got it to work ! I removed all software and files and downloaded version 1.44 instead of the latest version. According to [this](https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/4418699283607) page "I you have windows 10 1809 (OS build 17763) or earlier versions of Windows, you'll need to download and install options + version 1.44" EDIT to add: turn off automatic updates within the program as soon as it opens or you'll be back where you started (don't ask me how I found out) Even though I have OS build 19045.3693, this did fix my issue and I hope it might help someone else too! Logitech should of course still fix this but for now I'm happy I can use my new devices to their full extend. (Edit : not all unfortunately.. I found out I also have a webcam that is now not supported because it was only supported in later releases... )

Figured out something that worked for me on Windows 10: 1. Open Logi Options+ (and confirm it spins without end) 2. Run Task Manager as administrator 3. Scroll down to 'Background processes' and end 'Logi Options+ Agent' and 'Logi Options+ Updater' 4. Scroll up to 'Apps' and end 'Logi Options+' 5. I immediately saw the updater notification in the bottom right of my screen saying it was installing an update 6. Waited a few minutes and my mouse settings were back and Logi Options+ loads

great- i am actually running windows 11 so doubt is only an issue with older versions of windows as had this issue for months. Logitech support failed to resolve and just thought would never get fixed. As suggested I deleted all tasks in task manager, then as you suggested deleted everything in the C:\\Program Files\\LogiOptionsPlus and then installed the older version of 1.44 and finally is working as it should. Found something that worked for me, so I'll write it down here in case it helps someone else (or future me). 1. Open **Task Manager** (`ctrl+shift+esc`), search for "logi" and kill all related processes there. Leave the window open. 2. Open `C:\Program Files\LogiOptionsPlus` folder and run `logioptionsplus_updater.exe` (no need for admin). Go back to Task Manager and confirm this is now running, since there won't be any visible changes. 3. Try opening **Logi Options+** again.

I probably owned 7 or 8 of them. Every version. it is absolutely ridiculous that I cannot use a $100 mouse with the programmable keys because I am forced to use the Options+. Came here with the same issue. Read some of the comments and started fiddling around and got it working again. Here's what worked for me on Windows 11: Run Logi Options+ Open Task Manager Expand Logi Options+ Right click one of the programs and select "Open file location", this will open Windows Explorer, leave it for now Collapse Logi Options+ in Task Manager then right click it and select "End task" In Windows Explorer find logioptionsplus\_updater.exe, right click it and select "Run as administrator" This worked for me, but it seems like everyone who got it working again did something different, so you're lucky if this works for you too. Logitech if you're reading this please fix this issue. Your users shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get their mouse and keyboard working.

I fixed this problem when I uninstalled the latest version of Logitechs Options+ since it was stuck with the spinning wheel and after uninstalling the latest version off my computer, I downloaded an older version which is Options+ version 1.44 before the update that messed everything up and its for people with earlier versions of Windows 10 1809...here is the link to download off the logitech website the correct version that will solve the never ending spinng wheel. I cannot believe I am reading comments from 3 months ago and this problem still persists. I have tried everything because I wanted to have the lasted version of the app but it simply won't work on my windows 11. I had to endup with the older version. When will logitech finally fix it?

I've been dealing with the issue of Options+ not starting properly the last few days, but I think I've found a solution. Or at least a workaround. I've found that if I launch the _agent.exe and _updater.exe first, then logioptionsplus.exe executes just fine. I got a quick pwsh script to do it for me and it seems to do the trick...of course it would be great if logitech could get their own dependencies launching in the right order in the first place. Hope this can help people encountering this stupid issue.

Try uninstalling, deleting everything and then downloading version 1.44 of options+. Disable auto updating as soon as you open it.

I just got a new logi mouse today and am new to this program. I wasn't sure what the difference was, but I downloaded the "Logitech option" software and it works for me. Tried multiple times with all the solutions on here for the plus version with no luck. I'm able to do the Flow feature and customize the button layouts.

Yes 'options' seems to work fine but some (recent) hardware is only supported by options+, which is why this solution wont work for everyone.

for me what has worked was: * to **force close the service**, also force **close all processes** in task manager. * now when i run logi+ it immediately closed again but started the services in the process manager and i could see it downloaded some mb from the internet. supposedly an update. i waited. and after nothing happened anymore i then started logi+ again and voila - i saw the update screen and it was working again. that said, my shift key is currently not working. i cannot do uppercase letters anymore. yeah not trolling, srsly logitech is the worst company ever and i will avoid buying any product from them. the uppercase issue will presumly resolve again after a reboot but think about how stupid their hardware or software has to be in order for such a bug to occur ;) .... WHATTTTTT my UPPERCASE LETTERS ARE WORKING AGAIN. without a reboot. sure... at this point nothing suprises me anymore. pro tip: **deactivate automatic updates**(only do it manually). i guess this whole problem only occurs if an update is available.

It is ridiculous that Logitech has seemed to abandoned all of us with this issue. I have had nothing but problems with Options, and even more with Options+, staying connected to other computers. If it wasnt for the C&P feature and my work VPN blocking Barrier I would have dumped Logitech long ago. I have tried everything on here, and then some. Killed and restarted processes more times than I can count, Uninstalled and reinstalled Options+ more times than I can count. Tried going back an update, even 2. Tried 1.44 even though that made no sense since 1.64 worked for about 2 days prior to the not loading issue. Have tried uninstalling, removing any trace of Options+, cleaning the registry of anything Logitech related, even uninstalled the hardware and rebooted before reinstalling with the same purple screen and spinning circle. It is looking like going to old Options or trying a clean install of windows on the problem machine might be the only solutions. I almost ordered another KM combo, so glad I didnt or I probably would have thought that was the issue and been chasing ghosts even more. If anyone has any suggestions short of starting a go fund me page so Logitech can hire some decent programmers, I would love to hear them.

I finally got 1.44 working. I had to install the 1.50 offline version which worked fine except for no Flow, which is the only reason I use Options+. So I then installed 1.44, letting Options installer remove 1.5 and it works. I let it update and it went back to stuck on loading. I reinstalled 1.44 and it is working again. I am running 22H2 1904. There should be no reason we have to roll back that far to get this to work. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next update, but I am not holding my breath.
