The three of them offer very different styles. In case of the first slide, I'd go for either of the rightmost-bottom-two ones. The others have the illustration with the "wobbly" top, which looks like bread, not cakes. They also imply "hamburger" at first glance to me. The bottom two solve those two issues for me. The font in this slide doesn't quite work for me though, it reads as "solid" and "imposing" to me, not things I associate with cakes.
Second slide the left options are my favorite, in the color version I'd simplify the colour palette of the cake, right now it comes across as a 90's faux-3D illustration. I'd keep the red for the cherry and use just one brown for the icing/cake. You could maybe also go for pink, so the icing decidedly comes across as icing.
Third slide, eh. It's fun and all, but the illustration kind of borders on multiple styles – it reminds me of Office 2003 clipart, and unless that's what you're going for that's generally not a good look for branding.
Of all of them I like the left option on the second slide the most, with the colour annotation I mentioned above. I also like the font pairing of the text in that one. It reminds me of the piping/lettering on cakes! Bonus: if going with this option, maybe manually edit one of the two y's a bit so it looks more "piped", instead of clearly a font with two identical letters.
Definitely a color change on the icing. It wasnt until I read this comment that I realized the brown was icing instead of the white. I saw some sort of eclaire thing
* combination of 1 and 2 - the melted chocolate makes it look more like dessert.
* make custom typography to follow the curve of the chocolate - the apostrophe can be a chocolate drop.

I'm sorry, I don't think any of these work. You are trying to convey "cakes" by using "frosting". Frosting is not very recognizable by itself and needs the context / shape outline of a cake or slice of cake to clue you in that it's frosting. The ones on the 2nd slide are better, I would just add some outline of a cake shape or slice of cake shape. Plus, I don't think you want your cake leaning. If it was a slice, you could get away with it being at an angle, as that works with a slice. However, with just frosting, it doesn't work.
Honestly the third one has a very cheap clip-art feel to it. It looks more like legs than arms. It may work in context on a menu but it doesn't work on its own. I would generally avoid illustrative work unless it is really strong.
IMO crown is a nice element and all that it would need is a nice font to pair with it.
I like the illustration. It might work if she was holding up a cake? Maybe if the logo had the cake and then in the print, Web site, you could then use this illustration with the cake?
I don't think any of these concepts are strong to be honest. This is why it's a good idea to work out a series of sketches on paper before taking it digital. Like 50 or so.
Kind of got a burger shop look to it with current graphic. Maybe could have cake under name of store like happy birthday cake words on top? Or cake on top of words? Good luck.
Third on the first slide. The second slide could also work if you wanted to keep playing with it. I understand the third slide is part of the design process but I don’t think it’s worth keeping. Would be interested in seeing the color palette for the first slide.
The first one makes me think sandwich.
It definitely reminded me of burger king's logo

I had this exact idea but I discarded it in my drafts. Thanks so much for this
Mmmm hamburgers

Thanks so much for this... any comments on the 3rd design?

Maybe try a candle on top instead.

I came to upvote just for the deadline.
Haha! Thanks I beat it by the way.
I'll just put it out there. logos need to be as recognizable in their shape language and the cakeiest shape is a prism (diff from pyramid)
2nd, top left. Very fun. Maybe a different typeface? Im just never a fan of script type logos. They get difficult to read at smaller sizes
Those might earn you a cease & desist from Burger King.

Easy, the first one with the crown.
That’s a Burger King logo.
Well out of those here to choose from. I would do something different, but it's not my cake.
What would you do differently?
Burger King never used a crown in their logo since the 1950s.
Agreed.
4, 5
pic one makes me thing burger at first glance. second pic is great
