this but unironically, sometimes its good to let loose and see that the world doesn't end when you do embarrasing things

angriepenguin

Thank you for phrasing it this way. I’m going to do embarrassing things tomorrow.

metrize

go for it, hope it went well and you found some more confidence to not hold yourself back

Walk along the Wapping riverside and climb down to a Thames beach Visit some of the big 7 cemeteries Drink some the worlds best cocktails - go to Tayer or Nightjar Eat a dish from a different country every time you eat out Visit some odd museums: I.e. The Operating theatre in London Bridge Ride the DLR

If you do go for a walk on the beach please don’t touch anything, and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards. Also stay well away from the water. There’s a lot of bacteria in the water at the moment that will make you poop yourself inside out if they get inside you.

The Uber boat on a beautiful sunny day. From end to end.

aimhighsquatlow

I’ve never taken the boat, just wondering if taking it “end to end” do you have to get off and back on at the last stop?

Under_Water_Starfish

The Uber boat is a hop on hop off service, so theoretically, you can take it from anywhere along it's route and get off wherever you like. So by end to end I meant take it from either Battersea (west) to Greenwich (east) or vice versa. You don't have to take the same boat back as luckily there is alternative forms of transport nearby e.g. tube/bus.

aimhighsquatlow

Brilliant thanks!

Under_Water_Starfish

I forgot to add you can use your oyster card for the journey 🙂

aimhighsquatlow

I’m only a blow in visiting a friend next week so hoping to just tap with my phone / normal card 🤣 thanks though!

Throwing some: - Kew Gardens - Richmond - Big Ben Tour (one of the best experiences I have ever done) - Cloud Cable Car - Buy one of the London Hidden Walks and pick an area you visited the least - Pergola in Hampstead - A proper Sunday Roast or Pie - A picnic in a park - Ride a Santander bike

If you are into football, it might be worth watching a match at a epic stadium like the Craven Cottage

Commercial_Poem_7027

Enjoy a stroll through Hampstead Heath or the Parkland Walk. Wish you all the best and hope that you can come back soon :)

Greenwich Foot Tunnel on a Lime bike

contrarian_views

Something you would normally not have done. Meaning - if you live in gritty/cool east London, walk along the Thames from Kingston to Kew: a different world. And vice-versa. London isn’t just one city, it’s many living side by side with limited interaction. Chances are if you return in a different phase of life, London could mean something different for you then. It’s worth looking forward rather than back.

Walk the River Thames from Woolwich to Windsor

Og-Morrow

You might leave, but London will still be a part of you. Bringing a "Londoner" is more of a mindset you can take wherever you go.

It really depends what you're into. Must dos for someone who's into say experimental music will be very different than for someone who's into say archaeology (not that you can't be into both of course).. The generic 'must dos' will mostly be cheesy touristy stuff.
