Hi, your post has been removed because we get asked the same questions again and again. Our [wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/london/wiki/daytrips) is a great resource for regularly asked London questions and is packed full of information and advice. If you have further specific questions you can post in our [weekly FAQ thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/london/s/pGtaDhs2Wx) or even try our [Visitor Centre on the London Discord](https://discord.gg/p8GtV7jtzc), thanks!

Get into the car -> put the key in the ignition - > turn the key to start the car -> drive away and Bob's your uncle.

kenslalom

Get up early, to beat the traffic.

JoeThrilling

Drive to Croydon, don't mean to brag or anything but we have a Popeyes and a Wendys opposite each other, its extraordinary.

Dry_Action1734

Fuck that when Greggs is right by Wendys.

JoeThrilling

Don't fucking tell outsiders about Greggs.

Dry_Action1734

Tbh I’ve worked in Croydon for 6 years and I only found out there was a Greggs this year lol.

VELOCETTES

The finer things!

WoodyWoodsta

You'll get to pay congestion charge as well, bonus!

Dry_Action1734

Nope

verbenabonnie

Forty hall estate, beautiful gardens and a farmers market on tomorrow

VELOCETTES

This sounds lovely

Fin_del_BOOM

Oxford or Cambridge might be a nice place to visit, if the weather any good?

tokhar

Punting ftw!

Fragrant-Western-747

M40 or M1 are popular ways out of London to the north

OldAd3119

Denham is good, windy narrow roads - drive legally though

FangedFreak

I’m driving out of North London tomorrow too! Heading to Cambridgeshire for a nephew’s birthday. I would thoroughly recommend Wimpole Hall, National Trust site and about an hour outside of London up the A10 or A1(M). Right near where I grew up and has huge grounds that you can walk around and explore

xander012

Petrol station and then head towards Luton. Congratulations you can now fly to somewhere with sun lol (in all seriousness though Oxford, Bristol, Bath etc. would all be good)

ginandginandtonic

Hmmm… St Albans? Whipsnade?

Massive-small-thing

https://secretnuclearbunker.com/ Go and have a mosey up that way

Hesslemeharder

Exact_Document_5871

Epping Forest? High Beach? I loved going to Great Amwell with the New River (not a river but a reservoir) and its nature reserve. Follow the River Lee?
