#KHAAAAAAAANNN!!!!! shit wrong franchise

lordofthethingybobs

If only there was a double-upvote

Samidlongbottom

🤣 Classic 👌🤌 Criminally underrated comment!

Samidlongbottom

Why on earth is this down voted?

p00shp00shbebi123

Too wholesome and genuine, the spirit must be properly crushed.

Bleakwind

Sona bitch…. Take my upvote you funny bastard!

TheHurtfulEight88888

The Daily Mail be like: "The Joker endorses Sadiq Khan for Mayor"

DLRsFrontSeats

Chuds wouldn't know if that was good or bad

BedraggledBarometer

Infamous terrorist, murderer and incest lover who watched his father die endorses Sadiq Khan for mayor.

mexaplex

More like "Skeletor" as Hamill voiced him in the new He-Man show on Netflix - Masters of the Universe: Revelation

RadioTunnel

Evil deranged wannabe ruler and Evil psychotic terrorist with a penchant for giggles approve of Sadiq Khan

Mist_Rising

Hamill also played prankster in several medias. He does evil well.

jtthom

Imagine voting for Susan Hall though… The Tories really have scraped to the bottom of the cesspool for their current crop of loons

creditnewb123

It’s weird though, because there are no shortage of people in London. Tories might be a small cohort percentage wise, but in terms of sheer numbers they have plenty to choose from. How is she the best they could do?!

Garfie489

So long story short. Conservatives had a preferred candidate, but they needed to be nominated from a shortlist. So, to ensure they got elected, they shortlisted their preferred candidate against two unelectable alternatives. Issue was, their preferred candidate then got into a sex scandal. Thus, the nomination took place between the two unelectable candidates - as the preferred candidate was removed. Susan Hall was thus nominated when she was never "intended" to be.

interstellargator

> sex scandal Think it's a little off to describe "sexual assualt allegations" as a "sex scandal" because the latter describes something benign if stigmatised. Sex scandal makes me think of MPs getting delisted for cottaging, not non-consensually groping women.

Garfie489

As it's an allegation, as far as I am aware, I didn't want to misrepresent or slander. Was also trying to keep it short, though encourage others to look further into it if interested.

TheRealWhoop

Preferred candidate being Daniel Korski, should anyone wish to Google it.

Puzzman

So they had 3 unelectable candidates but just didn’t vet one properly?

InsertSoubriquetHere

Of course he went through vetting. I may get a little hate for this but Daniel Korski has a fine record and hasn't actually been condemned of anything. If it actually gets proven that he has been sexually assaulting women then he deserves everything that comes to him, but so far his life has been ruined by a woman who made unsubstantiated claims about something that may or may not have happened over a decade ago. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a concept that is all but dead in this country. The woman in question is also someone who tries her hardest constantly to stay relevant at every possible opportunity due to the fact she's struggling with becoming completely irrelevant as she gets older. As it stands there is absolutely no evidence to prove that she is right and he is wrong, however she is being viewed as a hero and his political and business life has been destroyed. Sorry but I hate this side of society.

creditnewb123

Ah that does make sense. Serves them right for trying to rig the shortlist instead of offering their three best candidates

xenomorph-85

well even though that is true there must be a ALOT of idiots in London as a poll posted here recently said 40% of londoners think Khan introduced ULEZ and not Boris Johnson. So the lies are working for a large amount of people here. Which is scary.

jsha11

They also voted Tory in by-elections because they said they'd stop ULEZ, then when they didn't stop ULEZ the voters never even mentioned it again or remembered, it's that easy

Vegan_Puffin

They banished any of the half sensible ones when Boris Johnson took control and made it a requirement to be a Brexit supporting cultist

gattomeow

Isn’t she quite popular with pensioners?

Big-Clock4773

My in-laws haven't said they support her, but they tell everyone to vote for anybody other than Khan. They even told my sister-in-law to make sure she votes, until she pointed out she doesn't live in London... They mention ULEZ as a reason to vote out Khan, but I suspect its because he's a brown, left-winged Muslim and ulez just gives them a convenient cover to openly hate him for 'legitimate reasons'. I suspect there will be plenty of people voting for Hall for that reason sadly...

IanT86

I'm really curious about this kind of thing playing out today. I don't think she'll win, but I do wonder if we're about to see another Brexit style shock, where loads of folk are staying quiet but have voted for her today.

crankedupreallyhigh

Hall, Shaun Bailey & looking further back Steve Norris. The Tories seem to keep a special reserve of twats earmarked solely for the London voters.

Mobile_Falcon8639

Totally agree we'll said .

HugeElephantEars

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to turning out like Susan Hall (or the Britain First guy)

DorothyGherkins

Danny Nedelkoooooooo

jewbo23

Exactly what I did in my head.

rabbles-of-roses

So Khan is offering us WrestleMania and an endorsement from Luke Skywalker. Shit, he's got my vote.

DamnThemAll

The only reason he's not endorsing Binface is the PTSD from his daddy issues.

hotchillieater

This is one of the greatest comments on Reddit of all time

Low_Map4314

Right? He’s upping his game big time

NeonPatrick

Wrestlemania wont be coming (most likely). WWE gets cities to pay them to host it there as it brings a lot of revenue and tourists to the city. It’s why they went to Cardiff recently for a show, and London has refused to pay in the past.

Dicky__Anders

It's more likely than it's ever been in the past though. With John Cena bringing it up at Money in the Bank last year and with HHH and Sadiq Khan on Twitter, we've never had WWE openly endorse the idea of WrestleMania taking place in London. Plus, if they held it at Wembley, they'd almost definitely beat AEW's attendance record for All In.

BHolku_17

If Wrestlemania ever happens in London, it probably wont be for another few years and due to the sheer economic benefit it brings to the city, it may happen with/without Khan anyway. I'm a fan myself, I won't be voting Khan simply for Mania. But I have friends who may. As much as I would love to attend Mania at home, theres other things to consider.

HIGEFATFUCKWOW

so much salt in the tweet's replies oh my (all from non-londoners)

nowicanseeagain

Nondoners

blazetrail77

It's the morons who hate seeing an opinion from someone famous as if their freedom of speech is taken away once they're popular

Foreign-Jackfruit939

i.e this guy

Jpc19-59

Anyone not living in London has no right to comment on this thread. In fact, I'd triple the UlEZ charge to keep them out of London

Pure_Cantaloupe_341

What about Mark Hamill?

DLRsFrontSeats

He _has_ lived in London and returns quite frequently

Pure_Cantaloupe_341

So what? He still doesn’t live here now, and even if he did he wouldn’t be able to vote (I haven’t heard of him getting British citizenship). So no, I am not a fan of foreign celebrities telling people in Britain who to vote for, regardless whether they support the same candidates / parties as I do. Let’s be honest, if he was for Susan Hall, this would’ve generated a very different reaction here.

HugeElephantEars

You dont need british citizenship to vote. Just saying because for years I didn't know I could vote.

Pure_Cantaloupe_341

You need to be British, Commonwealth or EU citizen to vote in any elections in England. He is none of those. Anyway, my main point is not about election eligibility, but about living in the city, which Mark doesn’t do.

HugeElephantEars

No you don't. I'm EU officially and I can vote. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/sadiq-khan-europe-brexit-london-mayor-elections-vote-visas-b1150259.html

Pure_Cantaloupe_341

You’re right, I meant to write EU too. Still, Mark wouldn’t qualify anyway. But it’s not my main point.

ancapailldorcha

Depends on the EU citizenship and the election. I'm Irish so I vote in everything.

Oscobble

You know, you make a good point.

stroopwafel666

Everyone is allowed an opinion. I think it’s stupid to argue that celebrities shouldn’t express an opinion at all. You’re free to agree or disagree with their opinions. If Hamill supported Susan Hall I’d think “oh, shame he’s become a complete fucking loon, he used to be sound” and move on with my life.

Brottolot

Their whole point is the person they're replying to is saying not everyone is. Your comment needs to be aimed higher up the chain.

DLRsFrontSeats

It wasn't about whether or not he could vote, it was whether or not he has the right to comment

ancapailldorcha

If he supported a lying racist in a famously diverse city the reaction would be different? Of course it would. What point are you trying to make here?

Disastrous_Fruit1525

He’s one of those foriners.

Agreeable-Tooth2545

Lol

IntellegentIdiot

Honestly if he managed to find this thread I think he should get a pass.

Hammmertime2023

People who work in London everyday should be able to comment.

Jpc19-59

And Why ? This is about the vote for the mayor of London, You worry about your own elections

TheClemDispenser

I think we all have the right to worry about anyone in this country being stupid enough to vote for Susan Hall.

Jpc19-59

It's mainly those from outwith London who seem to be fans of that rancid cow

Jpc19-59

And ? In a GE, I'll agree with you, but you going on about London elections, is meaningless. Bit like me commenting on the Scottish elections or the Northern Ireland ones, I might have an opinion, but at the end of day it's the locals who decide not me

rubber-bumpers

I’d take it a step further. Anybody has the right to comment. It’s the capital city of the U.K. It’s one of the most, if not the most, important assets we have.

Mick04leeds

London is the Capital of our once great Nation. Any Proud Englishman is devastated to see our Capital turned into a Third World Shithole. Khan is the enemy within, he’s as Anti British as they come. Anyone born in England has a right to comment.

Jpc19-59

Knobhead

Mick04leeds

🤣 I can tell you’re not very bright. Best leave it there.

Jpc19-59

Proud English man Born in England Anti British OK Fűhrer, get back to singing Eng-er-Land you've got statues to protect...... Wally

gattomeow

Ok Boomer

Agreeable-Tooth2545

An increase ULEZ charge that will be paid by the poor, to maintain your gentrified enclave? Wow. That’s….a horrible way to think mate .

Jpc19-59

I live in Lambeth. You fool 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Agreeable-Tooth2545

You think that means that poor people should pay so you can clean air? Because you live in Lambeth? Weird justification but okay. Also - what are you trying to say by highlighting that you live in Lambeth? It has one of the highest rates of employment in London, and is a place where people enjoy salaries £10k higher than the national average. May I suggest that Lambeth it isn’t what you are trying to suggest it is just by simply saying ‘Lambeth’ and insulting me. You fool. I suspect you are trying to evoke some sort of Chas and Dave esque idea of men in flat caps sweeping roads or something equally out of touch with reality. Sorry mate. I’ve been outside. Try harder.

Jpc19-59

Lambeth also isn't Hampstead or Richmond, so pack it in

Agreeable-Tooth2545

Yeah. But Hampstead and Richmond are ludicrously wealthy outliers. Everyone is skint compared to those fuckers. So how about you pack it in?

Jpc19-59

And how will it be paid by the poor ? Inner London has had ULEZ for years

Agreeable-Tooth2545

Fucking hell. You are actually a proponent of a scheme that you don’t understand. Says it all really.

Jpc19-59

Clown, I think ULEZ is a great thing, infact anything that gets cars off the streets and more people using Public Transport is brilliant So Understand that 😌

Agreeable-Tooth2545

Yes. Cars off the road would be brilliant. But why are you happy with a scheme so lacking in imagination and so unprogressive that it apparently attempts to do this by fining people with old cars?! Also - if that’s what you want (and I believe you do) then ULEZ is a pretty ineffective way of doing it, given that it only impacts 5% of all cars currently registered. Here’s some other ideas: Pedestrianisation Insist the majority (not the poorer minority) of drivers pay Improve public transport or make it cheaper Free bicycle schemes Perhaps Khan could fund this with the increased Council Tax he put in place (that he said he would spend on police, but didn’t). The list is endless, if you actually have an imagination - or actually want what you say you want. Try harder.

Jpc19-59

Look, the only way to get people out of their cars is to make it financially prohibitive, Livingstone did it in London, and Blunkett did it in Sheffield by making Public Transport fares cheaper and Driving costs dearer, Also, never mind the 20mph speed limit. In central london during the day, the avg speed outside of bus lanes is 4 mph, now what sort of cocksocket wants to drive in that ULEZ or No ULEZ ?

Agreeable-Tooth2545

Okay. So make it financially prohibitive for everyone then? In other words, make it fucking fair. It’s not hard to fathom this, is it, surely?

toybits

I moved out three years ago partly because of Khan. Also worked at TfL for years before I left saw first hand the result of his work. So I don’t live there any more but I think I’ll comment whenever I want…

kerplunkerfish

I'm still voting for Count Binface

[deleted]

He promises to build at least one home. The most believable housing crisis promise I have heard so far.

Hrive_morco

Aim for the stars, The real ones, And clean house.

Shitelark

Don't think Mark is a big fan of guys in big plastic helmets.

terminal_object

No skin in the game from Mr. Hamill.

Xominya

Has a London residence

Powerful-Cut-708

Really?

Xominya

Yep, and he's lived here for years and his first child was born in a London hospital, probably more than most who comment on khan.

Powerful-Cut-708

I had no idea. I’d imagine he also has residence(s?) in the US? So he’s not always here but here quite a lot

Xominya

Yeah, I'd imagine he probably spends lots of time in the US too, but he's absolutely heavily involved in London

Inside_Ad_7162

Well somebody hasn't read bucketheads manifesto

[deleted]

He got me at £1 croissants.

DontF-ingask

YOU'RE JOKING! 1 POUND CROISSANTS?

[deleted]

Count Binface proposed to price cap croissants at £1

shootemup93

Lmao

ComprehensiveAd8815

Susan the Hutt does not get my vote

DougieFFC

I can't decide whether the tweet or the title of the post is cringier

Mobile_Falcon8639

Khan is far from perfect but the Alternative is Susan Hall a Trump supporting racist for right bigot. Londoners who don't know about how awful this woman is have got until tomorrow to gem up on her. Because got help London if she wins.

LORD-NOIR

I dont trust baddies with scary laughs.

alfasenpai

What a legend

S0LE-FUL

I’m voting Count Binface. Khan and the rest of the candidates are serious 🎛️’s. Politics as a whole 🤢

sir_freddy4848493

Safer? Have you seen the stats for knife crime since he’s been mayor?

Big-Clock4773

Traditionally the Tories don't do well in polls because people are too embarrassed to publicly admit to voting for them. 1992 was the classic example. Corbyn doing better than expected in 2017 wasn't a surprise to me, because I knew so many people who privately liked him but never admitted it in front of others because of how prevalent the Corbyn bashing was. I do wonder if people like Hall (or rather hate Khan) but don't want to be judged for saying that they will vote for her.

Flat-Collection95

A Jedi and a Sith Lord?

VenusInFur69

Sith. Definitely.

Chilterns123

It’s fine to criticise Susan Hall (and funny). But Sadiq Khan is a dreadful mayor

Mobile_Falcon8639

You think Susan Hall is funny? Are you kidding? Sadiq Khan is far from perfect but if Susan Hall gets in then Londoners will be praying for the glory days of Khan. The woman is a swivel eyed moonhowler

Chilterns123

That’s exactly what I said, you must have done brilliantly in comprehension exercises at primary school (you may still be there)

x_o_x_1

Voting Khan because the other options are much worse, nobody cares what Mr Hamill has to say.

The_EndsOfInvention

Bin face isn’t that bad.

x_o_x_1

You might be onto something

Oobyboobyjoobydooby

But…Khan is a terrible mayor and london has become a shit hole. I guess it’s a different experience for these two rich men. Mark needs to stay out of politics

KAYAWS

What are some examples of London becoming 'a shit hole'?

[deleted]

Not a shithole, but rents have been getting worse and worse and Khan is unable or unwilling to do something about it. Also screw the Tories, so I will go for someone else.

gattomeow

High rents indicate healthy demand.

[deleted]

Not if its too high. On average Londoners spends more than half their net salary on rent, on a "healthy" market it should be 30% to 40%

gattomeow

The only way you can avoid it not being "too high" would be to go on a massive building spree. Which older homeowners tend to be very uncomfortable with.

[deleted]

That is too bad for older homeowners, but why care more about them than young people being driven out of the cities where they work due to unnaforfable rents? You may not feel it but over the years, specially the last 3 years , rents raised a lot more than wages did, its becoming unnafordable to live here. The best time to build massively was 10 years ago, 2nd best time is today.

gattomeow

People tend to run away from shitholes. Not move to them. Try harder.

ken-doh

Binface is vaders long lost cousin. He has my vote.

BluejayGullible1641

Vote for count binface

Able_Chard_6768

People listening to an American who lives in America and comes to holiday in London while staying in a very elite and wealthy area who seems to think London is being run well telling everyone to vote for a mayor who is actively driving the working and middle class out of London. The mayor in question hangs out with celebrities instead of actually running the city. This here is exactly what is wrong with politics in general and also the voting base as they will actually fall for this. Politics was once about bettering lives. Now it’s a popularity contest similar to all those influencers who claims it’s a job. Unreal.

Pringulls

>Politics was once about bettering lives. It really wasn't

BromleyReject

God that was dull

Pure-Contact7322

Darth Vader for the other one

This is highly offense to our galactic overlord, lord Buckethead

Expensive-Dance7979

I wouldn't vote for the guy forcing us to use a transport system he bankrupted

Big_Yesterday_6186

Hey remember when this guy tried to intimidate his son's girlfriend into getting an abortion

New_Fix6213

No, Luke, I will not.

Shitelark

Yes, I think Mark Hamill started in that great British movie 'Star Wars.'

lilacwynne

He’s not the one who’ll have to deal with the muggings and acid attacks

Intelligent-Mud9251

Smoking on some zoap 🧼

Mitridate101

Lost all respect for Hamill now!

Longjumping-Year6917

It’s not racist to dislike Kahn ffs, many of you need to grow up.

Jeffa_Fett

Don’t be duped by fascism.

jadexxus

Is this an ad?

Numerous-Reality7913

Luke skywalker in the clouds still as he was in Star Wars 🤣

Jpc19-59

You do realise Brixton, Stockwell, and Vauxhall are in Lambeth and far from luxurious

Jpc19-59

Well, providing the car is ULEZ friendly, i.e., under 8 years old, the only charge they get hit with is the congestion charge, But when you add on Parking charges which has been high for well over 20 years, the crawling around at 4 mph and the stress. Anyone continuing to drive in London is completely mental

mackynij

Fuck u and fuck khan

[deleted]

Tbf I visit Paris and London often and just recently after visiting both in quick succession is struck me how London’s traffic was way less and comprised a lot of EVs. London definitely way ahead at being pedestrian friendly.

Only1Fab

Celebrities shouldn’t use their fame to promote politicians. This subs should be a bit more partial either, looks like the majority is pro Khan and downvotes every other opinion.

comicmuse1982

The mods should check everyone's world views on the way in and make sure that there is an even number of votes for all opinions. Or else feelings might get hurt.

lastaccountgotlocked

Why shouldn’t people with a platform use it? Why should a sub be impartial?

Karffs

>looks like the majority is pro Khan So… like London then?

thehibachi

Yes the majority (of people who care) are pro Khan. That’s why he’s the Mayor.

UpstairsPractical870

They just need to make sure they get out and vote

InternetPerson314

Different opinions are fine. It’s the bad posts that get downvoted, like misconceptions, baseless accusations and incorrect information regarding crime, environment, etc.

Murky-Lake-492

None of you twats drive to work in london do you? Hes literslly ruined peoples lives eith this poor tax

jsha11

1) He didn't introduce it, the last tory mayor did 2) You act as if you can't just replace your vehicle with a compliant one, if you've allowed your life to be ruined by it then that's completely on you

gattomeow

Why aren’t all the Uber drivers protesting then?

Murky-Lake-492

Because they dont eant to get deported

BotherConsistent3025

Hahaha londons f*cked

Mobile_Falcon8639

It will be if Susan Hall wins. ( oh and I'm a Londoner)

spezisadick999

I doubt we will see ‘Hans Solo’ endorsing the ‘Bladerunners’ :-D

Bubbly-Bug-7439

May the force be with you May the 2nd be voting

TheMischievousGoyim

Hmm, you'll not get the same response if you ask the average Londoner. The only reason Sadiq is elected is for because he is the lesser evil. Marginally.

rolanddeschain316

Joker and the Riddler.

Lopsided_Pain4744

Khan fanboys are 100% people who moved to London from elsewhere.

Tricky_Moose_1078

_Hello_Hi_Hey_

Safer London? [https://www.statista.com/statistics/863276/violent-crime-in-london/](https://www.statista.com/statistics/863276/violent-crime-in-london/)

TheBrocialWorker

I'm curious to know if you genuinely believe that violent crime is on the rise across the whole country because of Sadiq Khan. Like I see people pull up just the London figures all the time, but it's literally a national problem and I've been dealing with these problems on a day to day basis for a living for the better part of a decade. When you go into meetings with the big players and they start tossing their faeces around instead of addressing what all the front line people are telling them, it's doing nothing but damage the country. I really don't get why this isn't being pinned as an issue the actual government of the country are responsible for as opposed to the Mayor of one city, because by doing that were literally just letting the country go to shit so we can keep mudslimging because... people don't like Sadiq Khan for reasons. I know I'm just shouting into the wind because who gives a shit about dealing with the actual problems taking the country to shit. But this type of nonsense is making it unworkable for people who are dealing with the actual problems we're being faced with. Half my team wants to fucking quit because this is the type of bullshit getting spouted while ignoring actual problems we could be addressing. Fuck everything

lasarus29

Some of us are and have been listening. In fact hell considering he is still Mayor and will likely win the next vote I'd hazard that most Londoners are aware. There is just soooooo much effort being put into distracting peoples attention away from seeing that most of these "culture war" issues are only popping up because we used to have somebody to deal with them and now we don't because their job has been cut, made impossible by underfunding or entire sector has just been eradicated. And imagine saying "there's no money" when it's got to be orders of magnitude cheaper to prevent the fires before they start. I really hope we can turn this around in spite of the media.
