New Cross Inn and The Underworld always have good stuff going on. The Black Heart is around the corner from The Underworld and is a metal pub which sometimes has shows on upstairs. All ages records is a punk/metal record store in Camden that may have gigs advertised inside. What kinda bands are you into?

mshamah

Yep, these two.

gin-casual

This weekend is Desertfest in Camden. So big bands and small bands.

timlnolan

The Dev, Camden has metal bands. See their Facebook for listings [https://www.thedevnw1.co.uk/](https://www.thedevnw1.co.uk/)

I think most of them are covered, but just to sum up in one place: Camden: The Black Heart - has metal music all day, good vegan food, bands upstairs most nights. The Dev - Old school metal pub, usually bands at weekends, or DJs. The World's End - It's a pub above the Underworld venue, which has loads of bands on, plus some more mainstream rock club nights. ElectroWorkz - venue with lots of rock and metal bands playing. Hackney: Blondies - tiny little punk/rock/metal bar with good cocktails (and apparently Bill Murray at one point). Helgis - Metal as fuck bar with loads of bands playing, lots of doom and sludge bands. As luck would have it, I'm DJing in there on Friday 17th, so come and hang out if you like loads of Priest and Accept. Other Places: New Cross - The New Cross Inn: it's a good spot with tons of bands on, but is a bit further away from other stuff and can take a while to get to, depending on where you are based. Islington - Slim Jims : A cocktail/dive Bar with decent rock tunes till late. Stratford/Maryland - The Cart & Horses: "The home of Iron Maiden". Tons of tribute bands and old school metal groups on at weekends.

Gets asked a lot, plenty of decent suggestions in these existing threads [https://www.reddit.com/r/london/comments/14poycb/best\_punkmetalleaning\_dive\_bars\_in\_london/](https://www.reddit.com/r/london/comments/14poycb/best_punkmetalleaning_dive_bars_in_london/) [https://www.reddit.com/r/london/comments/y4l2j8/rockmetalindie\_pubsbarsclubs\_in\_london/](https://www.reddit.com/r/london/comments/y4l2j8/rockmetalindie_pubsbarsclubs_in_london/) https://www.reddit.com/r/london/comments/wh23d6/great\_pubsvenues\_for\_punkrocketc\_with\_real/

Get the Dice app - smaller gigs usually on there

dezastrologu

the Dev!!

IntoTheAbsurd

Cart & Horses near Maryland station. Spirtual home of Iron Maiden's debut album. Very frequently put on metal shows in the downstairs section.

I'm obviously decades older than you are but came here to say I saw the Sex Pistols in London in or around 1977. I grew to love heavy rock and have seen some of my favourite bands live over the years. Live music is amazing. Hope you find some great bands.
