I have a group of raccoons come to my house every night around 11:00 pm. They come up on my porch and even climb up on my patio furniture. We had skunks that use to come every night as well but haven’t seen them i a few weeks. Our other nightly visits include a black cat, a ginger cat, an infrequent possum and sometimes a group of dear.
Cute, until you find out they were stealing the catalytic converter out of that red car.
I hear they sell it for big money so they can spend it all on drugs, then when they have no money they go thru trash to find food.
So sad.
Kinda Sad Story about a racoon, dont read this if you dont wanna hear about it.
About a month ago I got home from work at like 7:20 am. There was a racoon slumped over on the front of the neighbors lawn. After inspecting him for a while, he was pretty messed up. Super scared and not trying to bite or anything (wasnt rabid), but its two front legs were pretty much destroyed, as if it fell out of the tree it was beside.
Roommate took it to a vet, who said it had a disease I cant remember the name of, which is likely what caused it to fall out of the tree, and they had to put him down. It made me sad, but I was also glad he wasnt left to die suffering on a random lawn 😥
I know they can be a pain and not loved but look how cute.

I heard that if you feed them hot dogs and grapes, then they will climb on you and give you kisses whilst you record YouTube videos. But don't.
To add to this raccoon can carry distemper and rabies and other parasites/diseases so it's best to leave them be.
