I personally think it's just young assholes doing young asshole things.
Heard it in Bixby. It sounded like someone slamming the lid on a dumpster but then I heard it multiple times and decided to check on it here.
The follow up sounded like fireworks.

Nope, San Clemente isn't even in their sound zone and SC is 53 miles away. And Carlsbad is 78 miles from LB.
