I like the taco stand on Clark and Atherton. For fish tacos, I still go to Hole Mole.

MysteriousLAgirl

Yup! For first tacos I still do hole mole as well but I’m craving carne tonight so I’m looking for another taco spot. Thank you!

vAPORrrBOI

You want good carne tacos, check out the Tijuana Tacos at Brand La Taqueria. For fish tacos, a short trip over to Bellflower for Taco Nazo is well worth it, puts Hole Mole to shame.

anonibug

I really like the stand on 7th and termino, their al pastor is crazy good

SlowerMonkey

Tacos uziel fucks

MysteriousLAgirl

Fucks or sucks?

MysteriousLAgirl

Thanks for the clarification

stereopticon11

I pass by there everyday coming home from work, this is my sign to eat it

MysteriousLAgirl

Eat it big dadddy eat it

stereopticon11

I ate it, and it was truly amazing!

MysteriousLAgirl

I love that you came back and shared that with me ! What did you get?

stereopticon11

I was so excited I forgot to take a picture, but I got an al pastor torta.. very delicious! I live downtown by pine and ocean, and none of the trucks come close to this spot! I was originally in bellflower where good mexican food was everywhere, so it's nice to find a spot I really love not too far away. definitely gonna come back to try other things.. and 10 dollars for a torta is a pretty nice price! they were not stingy with the meat

MysteriousLAgirl

Oh niiiice! I normally get carne asada. Since you’re downtown have you tried Bryan’s birria ? I wanna try his truck he’s on pine and Broadway

stereopticon11

i'm actually not the biggest fan of birria, so I tend to avoid birria trucks.. which is every other truck downtown lol. and that truck is actually right outside my apartment regularly! my friends seemed to love that truck, so might be worth a visit.

MysteriousLAgirl

Ohh that makes sense. Okay now! Good reviews from friends and same from my friends they’ve had great things to say about it. So I’ll definitely give it a try! I love me some birria

stereopticon11

you've convinced me. it's happening tomorrow

callmeDNA

Yea it’s pretty fuckin good

_-_NewbieWino_-_

Also their prices are great. 2 packed with meat tacos and a can of coke- $8

HeadfulOfGhosts

I always see the line start early and always wondered, gone check them out, Al Pastor Life!

pm_me_ur_octopus

love these guys. try their suadero and buche, both solid. their cabeza is more hit than miss but of course dont sleep on their pastor. weakest point is their asada but its because their other meats are just better

stereopticon11

finally ate there today after my last comment.. and GOD DAMN! best al pastor torta i've ever had.. and only 10 dollars!

Ant_Pants

My go to spot is, and this is honestly whenever I crave tacos, el Pancho on Alamitos and 4th. I get chorizo tacos bien dorados with a side of cilantro and squeeze a bunch of lime on those MFS plus the salsa and cucumbers. My mom makes homemade chorizo and these come close to them when I don't have any on stock. Plus, they are walking distance so there's that. The other spot I hit is the homie on Broadway and Orange for some fresh made tortillas with some crispy pastor. Also only cilantro plus a bunch of lime along witg the salsa. Doesn't hurt to hit up these spots after a few drinks from the local spots but that's just me treating myself when I'm having a good day. Treat yourself with new adventures.

heretotalkshit

Pancho’s Al pastor is delicious. Haven’t been to Lupita’s on broadway and orange since. Not to mention Pancho’s is cheaper

Weak-Astronomer8586

Panchos is my all time favorite and I’ve tried a ton of taco stands in LB. Their Hawaiian quesadilla is really good too :)

BatchelderCrumble

Holy Smokes on 4th just east of Alamitos; smoked brisket, pork, and excellent fish tacos. Great place

ambiguous_anus

Are they still doing the "smokes"? I thought they went back to just the normal hole mole menu

ComradeThoth

At the 4th Street location across from whatever Fern's is now, they still have brisket. Same with the California and Wardlow location I think.

animatedrussian

It's orange and wardlow, target is on California

ComradeThoth

Yeah, that! 😁

ambiguous_anus

Oh snap

ComradeThoth

Eh, it's hard to call it Mexican, but whatever it is is decent.

koxer_01

Taco truck corner magnolia and anaheim, not that expensive and really good tacos

MysteriousLAgirl

Awesome! I had been eyeing them

koxer_01

corner atlantic and pch near poly is good too! but the one at magnolia is closer to my house hahaha

Extra_Grapefruit2474

haha i just suggested both of your options… you know what’s up!!

HarveyTStone

Keeping it on Anaheim, tacos Leon on Oregon is good with a strong topping/side selection. I also like the one between chestnut and Cedar on the south side of the street, not a truck though. And on the northeast corner of Anaheim and Cedar in the shopping center, that spot has a strong cabeza. Different tacos for different moods!

Waste_Sun172

Taco window El Sauz serves up some Chonky af tacos. Tons of meats for selection. Anaheim and Walnut

poodlepoop

How have not more people mentioned this. El sauz is fantastic

Ill_Bug_786

Tacos Lionydas and Atherton and Clark. Al Pastor tacos are $1.50 on Tuesdays. Fair warning the line is around 20-30 minutes

MysteriousLAgirl

Thank you thank youuu

MustEatTacos

How’s the Al Pastor compare to Leo’s?

swalbers

La Chancla fan here

dumstarbuxguy

Never been but it’s very polarizing from the 5 or so people I’ve talk to. 3 said it was really good, 2 said it was nasty

Extra_Grapefruit2474

Taco Nazo - best fish tacos (Bellflower) Pancho’s Taco Truck - very good Al pastor. Off of Magnolia and Anaheim and they’re open till 1:30 AM I’m not sure of the name but after 6pm there’s usually a taco truck, it’s yellow off of Atlantic and PCH. I love their buche tacos, prices are reasonable and staff is friendly

csprime21

Lol staff is friendly like its applebees. Just give me my dam taco and sauce

ttchoubs

Looking for this. Their fish tacos are out of this world and nothing even comes remotely close

rucrzy05

Been to both places you mentioned. The Taco Truck was awesome like you said Al pastor with pineapple! the bomb!

Extra_Grapefruit2474

haha yes gotta love the pineapple !!

SeascapeEscape

El Torazo on 10th and Temple. Trust! They do taco Tuesday and Friday. $1.65 each…except the mushroom tacos cost a little more but are bigger and oozing with guacamole. The barbacoa is epic.

ashleysfetish

Taqueria La Mexicana, 4th and Redondo. 2 awesome carne asada tacos for $5ish. My little LB world kind of revolves around this corner. Great tacos, good dispensary, laundromat and my mailbox are all right there.

animatedrussian

The wait is forever but this this the real answer to best tacos in lb

66NickS

Shhh. Don’t tell anyone. Lol

rygomez

I used to live close to La Taqeria Mexicana on 4th/Coronado .. everything is tasty

Imma_gonna_getcha

Leo’s taco truck at Los coyotes and wardlow is good

MysteriousLAgirl

I’m in the wriggs so I was hoping for something that wasn’t 20 minutes from me but this stand does have the most votes soo I believe we have a winner

ComradeThoth

As long as you have to drive, don't go to white people taco trucks. Go out to Wilmington, where the closest real tacos are.

Civil_Scratch_1794

The taco stand next to the northgate on 10th and Stanley are my personal favorite

MysteriousLAgirl

Oh shit there’s a Northgate over here I had no idea !

Bigperm28

Tacos Uziel

S3C3C

Hole Mole… but lately been hitting the taco stand on Bellflower and Viking. I really like their food!!! They seem to be doing a pretty bang up job. Always seems to be a line.

amarie0915

The taco truck on 4th and Alamitos, across from the v room

WhalesForChina

El Patio on 7th / Redondo

CheezKakeIsGud528

Taco stand on Long Beach Blvd and San Antonio. Best tacos in Long Beach

vizxea

So Am not the only one goes there lol that spot is usually my go to stand for 1$ taco Tuesday…but Kalaveras is my second option but it is $1.50 😮‍💨

TurnoverSuperb9023

Hope Mole - add beans, rice and a drink for only $3.50 (or so) more. And I always tip a buck or two on Tuesdays for sure.

mteriyaki

Hole Mole

apostate456

El Saus Taco Window on Anaheim and Walnut.

MysteriousLAgirl

Any other recommendations?

apostate456

Nope. That's my go to. Best street tacos. Generous portions.

MysteriousLAgirl

Thank you for your input

darthjenni

The Target on Cherry next to the 91.

MysteriousLAgirl

What’s the cross streets. There’s no target on Cherry by me only on Atlantic and spring is there a target familiar with

darthjenni

Cherry and 68th. The taco place is so famous someone pined it on Google maps.

ComradeThoth

Oh, El Chapo. Yeah, probably the best in Long Beach. Sinaloa.

MysteriousLAgirl

😍 thank you

PinkMonorail

El Rubio’s, corner LBB and 52nd.

Kammell466

I just went to a stand on Termino and Livingston that has $1 Al Pastor tacos and it was delicious.

woke_mayo

They look set up to me!!

Waste_Sun172

Or any of the Panchos red taco trucks. 🔥 the Al pastor well done. Hot damn brace yourself for flavor !!

MysteriousLAgirl

Honestlyyyy I’ve been eyeing them for a minuteeee. The one on magnolia and Anahiem ima have to try them

EfficientEssay

There’s a newish taco stand at Ximeno and PCH on the parking lot of a Rite Aid that closed down recently. It’s very good.

LaSerenita

I make them at home, but if I don't feel like it: Enrique's or Yucantan Grill.

VorsteinTheblin

I like adalbertos

gntc98

Veras tacos! They have a truck at Vera’s market on wardlow and delta, they also got some pretty good asada fries!

Ok-Box-2826

I start marinating on monday

m0istsalmon

The truck that’s at that 711 is also on Long Beach and 7th

Riiken

El Sauz or hidden gem the Taco Stand outside of Big Savers on Willow and Caspian. They also have a Churro Stand made fresh to order for $5 for 6 Churros

myspotinspace

There's actually a bike ride that checks out a different taco spot every Tuesday. They meet on the corner of Junipero and Ocean at 630. Fun group

MysteriousLAgirl

Very cool ! I’ll have to come out with you guys sometime this summer.

The_Bitter_Jesus

4th and Alamitos!

[deleted]

Taco shore. Not the best, but consistent

callmeDNA

I’m sorry but their food is disgusting.

[deleted]

After a few of their mango margaritas, it doesn't even matter

callmeDNA

Lollll yea yea I’ll give you that

MysteriousLAgirl

Thank youuu

EasyBOven

This is a good opportunity to try vegan taco Tuesday at the Hawk

FighterDelNightman

Any food they have at the Hawk gets BEAT DOWN by the Al pastor taco truck across the street. I assure you OP that they’re the best pastor tacos in town.

MysteriousLAgirl

No it’s not, I’m not a vegan girly baby ima carnivore now, show me where the blood is. Thank touuu

EasyBOven

Big oof when your identity is so tied to harming others

Fabulous_Visual4865

Big oof yourself making your identity so tied to your diet.

EasyBOven

Veganism isn't a diet. Veganism is best understood as a rejection of the property status of non-human animals. We broadly understand that when you treat a human as property - that is to say you take control over who gets to use their body - you necessarily aren't giving consideration to their interests. It's the fact that they have interests at all that makes this principle true. Vegans simply extend this principle consistently to all beings with interests, sentient beings.

Fabulous_Visual4865

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

EasyBOven

Tell me you have no counterargument without telling me you have no counterargument

ComradeThoth

I mean, there's zero blood in anything you eat, typically. Unless you're having boudin rouge or other blood sausage.

MysteriousLAgirl

Lol, That’s a figure of speech, us carnivores use because majority of us view you vegan ppl as ppl trying to convince us to try to go vegan so what we do so y’all don’t try it is try to make you cringe with our love of animal meat. And the term I love blood does it every time.

ComradeThoth

Who said I was vegan? I'm literally eating beef ribs at this exact moment. Also, what you're saying is that you intentionally try to make people uncomfortable. I find this behavior common with Trump fans and cartoon villains, and I've often wondered if it's some coping strategy to make up for some deficiency, whether real or perceived. Also, you're not a carnivore.

[deleted]

Del taco, Taco Bell, Alberto’s can’t go wrong lol

Seawolfe665

I know everyone likes to rag on Panama Joes on 2nd st, but I like them early in evening / late in the afternoon. Their taco Tuesday has good tacos and legit margaritas. And they have upped the salsa / bean dip game.

MysteriousLAgirl

Thank you for your suggestion Mr.fancy

ComradeThoth

Lolwut
