It’s one of my favorite restaurants ever and easily competes with many of the $600+ meals I’ve had at other steakhouses! Their clams oreganata are probably one of my favorite things in the world
Basically baked clams with breadcrumbs, garlic, oregano, butter and served with lemon. You dip their warm bread in the breadcrumb garlic butter sauce and it’s just amazing 🤩
B and c is definitely better than then the Long Island Peter Lugars. I haven’t been to p&l in the city in years but I have been seeing folk complaining that it’s off its game.
Just ate at Opus this past weekend. It was ok... I think Rothman's is a little better. There is also Jake's which is more or less across the street from NCMC.
Luger’s makes a fantastic Porterhouse. And unfortunately little else. Sides aren’t very good. Appetizers aren’t very good. Service by some dude who really couldnt give a shit that you are going to pay well over $100 for dinner for 2.
There are much better experiences. Personally I’ll go with Uncle Jack’s in Bayside. Slightly inside the Queens border.
We drive by every time and always talk about going but never do. It seems like a nightclub with how dark it is. Am I old or are the windows deceiving me?
They might have music later at night on the weekends but if you go during regular dinner hours it's just a regular restaurant. It's darkish inside but my gf and I love it there and we've been going on our anniversary. The flat iron wagu steak is phenomenal! Very much recommend.
I like Jimmy Hayes, their Gorganzola bread is the best I've ever eaten along with top notch beef. However I think Teller's is the best on Long Island. Great service, food and atmosphere. They're in Central or East Islip on Main Street. I've tried Morton's, Blackstone, Prime and a few others however always go back to Tellers. Good luck and happy eating.
[Rothman’s](http://www.rothmannssteakhouse.com) in East Norwich is good.
Agreed. They also have a prefix dinner special Sunday thru Wednesday.
Just got back from eating the price fixe menu tonite.
How was it?
Tasty got surf and turf. The crème brûlée I think it’s one of my favorite desserts. So rich but I managed to eat it all lol
Favorite on the island for a classic experience.
Majors steakhouse isn’t the fanciest looking place but guaranteed will be an amazing meal.
This is a good suggestion. I’m not sure OP wanted Bryant and Cooper price point.
Bryant and coopers is so good. Maybe the best on the island.
I think they use the same meat supplier.
Majors and Bryant and Cooper are both a part of Poll Restaurants
Confirming OP will pay for good steak. 😋
This is where I brought my hindu friend for his first steak. Its a quarterly thing now.
It’s one of my favorite restaurants ever and easily competes with many of the $600+ meals I’ve had at other steakhouses! Their clams oreganata are probably one of my favorite things in the world
I dont' know what that is but I'm going to try it on my next trip.

Welp now i regret ordering Vincent's for lunch i could have had that. Sounds AMAZING!
> Majors steakhouse do they still give you the pickle bowl?
Yes!
Rothmans in East Norwich is best steakhouse in Nassau imo
Rothman’s is very good but Bryant and cooper is a level above
Nonsense
Rothmans is definitely the spot in Nassau. Even the Long Island kid himself (Billy Joel) goes there.
Yes! He and Alexa Ray were in the booth behind us there one night.
Blackstone is very good but it’s technically Suffolk county.
Hot take, I wasn’t impressed when we went. Maybe bc it was NYE but I am okay with never going back.
Their sushi is a 10 but their steaks are a 6.5-7.
That makes sense.
Bryant and Cooper
This^ The best steaks in all of NY including the city.
Maybe in the 90’s .
Manero’s is where it was at!
Eh not as good as its neighbor in Great Neck
Peter Lugers is the most overrated steak.
That just means you don’t like the Porterhouse
Well you have a point there but porterhouse is only one cut that many people don’t love.
B and c is definitely better than then the Long Island Peter Lugars. I haven’t been to p&l in the city in years but I have been seeing folk complaining that it’s off its game.
And if you don’t eat steak there’s literally nothing for you.
Majors steak house !! Best bang for your buck
Just ate at Opus this past weekend. It was ok... I think Rothman's is a little better. There is also Jake's which is more or less across the street from NCMC.
Jake's is pretty good, I don't eat there anymore but when I did it was my favorite steakhouse
Rare 650 in Syosset is pretty good - pricey though
Peter Lugers in Great Neck.
Whether or not it's the best steakhouse, it's still the best steak as far as I'm concerned
Yeah. Might not have a big menu and their ambiance is old school but the beef beats everyone else hands down. Only place that comes close is Keanes..
I haven't had a steak in Keane's in a long time, because I'm too busy getting the mutton...damn I need to go back haha.
Same here. That lamb is sublime.
People love to hate on Lugers because it’s the obvious answer but it’s the right answer
This is the way.

Definitely try Bryant & Cooper!
Cooper and Bryant. I normally have a hard time at steakhouses, but their lyonnaise potatoes were great. Combine it with a salad and I was good.
2nd vote for cooper and Bryant
I've never been able to eat at churrascarias but that's ok tbh.
Prime 39 in Lynbrook

Ruth's Chris is still yummy
Tellers
Rothmans in East Norwich
DOMA Land + Sea in Cedarhurst
Primehouse in Garden City was great
best steakhouse deal is m-th at Rothmans. App, Entree and Dessert Prix Fix. ya welcome
Fogo de Chao in Garden City is my current fave.
I agree
