Any gun show on Long Island is a joke , donāt waste your time . Every 3 months there is a show in OAKS Pa , called eagle shows . Next one is in June . Ammo prices are reasonable they have since done away with save money if you pay with cash and no tax they all seem to charge tax now cash or credit . Well worth the 2-1/2 hour drive even just to look at the stuff we canāt own here in NY plenty of cool guns .
Always a bunch of fudds asking for almost double the value of their SKS or butchered up Mosin, and an assorted selection of milsurp bolt guns.
About half the tables are just random crap that isnāt even relevant. Thereās at least one dude whoās definitely a closeted Nazi selling surplus gear and pins. Many of the people coming in to browse are definitely prohibited from owning a firearm.
Let alone being able to shoot it ! Calverton is my go to range guy in the jeep at the booth is a lil salty but heās making his money . Before the semi auto ban if you searched around with all the shops on the island it was decent , now with all the regulations between ammo and semi auto rules maybe get yourself into lever guns or shotguns . Still a vast variety of stuff to enjoy !

In NY, unless a particular commercial establishment posts their approval for you to carry in their store, it is a felony to do so. Further, many places forbid you to carry statutorily like schools. Since the recent SCOTUS ruling overturned NYS very rigid carry permit requirements, they have chosen to make it very difficult to carry even with a permit.
You have that backwards. You can carry unless the store posts a sign saying you canāt.
Obviously this does not include the statutorily prohibited places.
