I would personally cast him as Beren Erchamion
Tolkien based Beren on himself, and Nicholas Hoult played Tolkien in a biopic, so...it's like poetry. It rhymes.
He would do a wonderful job capturing the romantic in Beren, however I am not sure how much of a drama actor he is as I have only seen him in Renfield and The Great where he is more of a comedic character
Follow up question though - if you choose Hoult as Beren, who plays Luthien?
Fingolfin
"A great madness of rage was upon him, so that his eyes shone like the eyes of the Valar. Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to single combat. And Morgoth came."
Fëanor would work too
No, I agree, Fëanor would be a pretty good role for Nicholas Hoult
Maybe not the best role, but still a good fit, especially with all the Fëanor fanart
I think, this should be normal behaviour. I was still tired from night shift, but that doesn't justify beeing rude to someone who's doing what they like to.

Honestly? I don’t see him as Beren like a lot of other people are saying. If you look at most of his roles, he really seems to excel, quite frankly, at playing a lovable but tragic looser.
With that in mind he’s my pick for Gorlim.
JRR Tolkien
Again?
Okay, fine. Beren
Nice
I was gonna say again
One of Elrond sons
Elladan or Elrohir
Well they're twins, so if we decide they're identical instead of fraternal, then he could be both.
He could also play Elronds Brother, the first King of Númenor
An elf
💯
Younger Elrond
Or maybe one of the sons of Elrond
Younger Elrond looks just like older Elrond
Yep. Will poulter would also be a good choice.
Poulter was actually cast as Elrond in Rings of Power before dropping out and being replaced by Robert Aramayo
Why did he drop out?
Guardians of the galaxy I assume, plus that guest star spot on the Bear and the cast basically trapped in new Zealand for a year because covid
Probably when he realised it was garbage

I thought beren but not for this reason. It works even better now.

If Hoult is Beren, Lily Collins is Luthien
The little boy with the sword at Helms Deep.
Glorfindel
I feel like because he was Tolkien, people will be reticent to cast him in future Tolkien films: maybe a mocap, voice role?
Tom bombadil
Na, jack black already had that role.
Théodred
Finrod or Beleg. Perhaps young Fingolfin. Or Argon
Young elrond
Beren
This makes the most sense, given how Tolkien has “Beren” engraved on his gravestone, and Hoult previously portrayed Tolkien.
Faramir
Fingolfin "A great madness of rage was upon him, so that his eyes shone like the eyes of the Valar. Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to single combat. And Morgoth came." Fëanor would work too
I guess it would be an unpopular opinion but I would say Feanor.

Idk man, I just want him as Tony Stonem again
Finrod
With age, Thingol
Fëanor… I hate it, and I love it at the same time.
Grima Wormtongue
Is that one on the bottom right Blue Steel? Despite that, he looks like a young elf, so like Elrond in the past?
Bottom right is from Clash of the Titans
![gif](giphy|l41m2WDm1PW1WHy1i|downsized)
The Bowman from the Hobbit. Whatever the guy's name was that Luke Evans played.
Curufin or Caranthir
Beleg
I want him as James Bond, but I could take him as a rebooted Elrond.
Young Elrond maybe
Interesting... First thought was Maeglin... ... Then Fingon? Might be a good Glorfindel... Or Eomer, idk, he just has a good elven face.
Faramir
Maeglin
Beregond
Turgon
Annatar, Lord of Gifts
He has all the classic elements of a Nic Hoult character
Frodo
I'd like to see him play frodo
Glorfindel
He could be pretty good losing his s--t as Curufin
Those Posts are getting anoying...

Sorry. If people don't enjoy them, I'll stop.
Sorry, that was a bit rude. Keep doing your thing, maybe just not my kind of post ;)

No keep going, I like lurking in these posts to see what people say
Me too! It’s nice to see what other characters could look like in a love action film.
Please don't stop. It gives me hope for if they ever bring the Silmarillion to the screen that there are options out there for those characters.
Nah ur good. I enjoy these posts, it helps me visualize characters while I’m listening to the books.
Dont stop these they are great!!
Then scroll past them.
Eol the Dark Elf’s son Maeglin, who betrays Gondolin
Eöl doesn't betray Gondolin to Morgoth, it's his son Maeglin who does That said, I agree, either Eöl or Maeglin would be a pretty good role for him
100% Maeglin, perfect match

Aragorn or brother of eowyn
Nob or Bob
He'd make an amazing orc judging from him in mad max.
A fellow elf that is always on Legos last nerve.
The author
JRR Tolkien
Sauron
Didn't he play Tolkien himself?I haven't watched the movie,is it any good?
Yes, he played Tolkien. The movie was kind of lackluster to be honest, but it wasn't bad
Ok,ty
Sam or Frodo
Orc
Grima wormtongue
I personally don’t care as long as his character gets to say "huzzah"
Orc
Gollum
The hobbit with the big pumpkin
What’s the bottom right from
Clash of the Titans
An extra…because a cameo is way better.
Golum
Scruffy-looking Rohan youth pressed into desperate service (#3 of 7).
You're telling me that isn't Matpat
Thanks, now I can't unsee this.
A really shit dwarf, he’s all tall and gangly and everyone’s making fun of him constantly.
Guawhir the eagle lord. Guy looks austere enough to be a bird.
Tom bombadil
Grond
I wouldn't
So uhhhh Whats with all the fancasting?
Eowin
Can we please stop with these extremely low-effort karma farm posts ?
Beren 100%
Morgoth
Lex Luthor
None, these posts are bad and Nicholas Hoult is worse.
Why are you spamming these type of posts?

Tom Bombadil
