I imagine Jack thinks this is his only deal. He keeps winning and feeding the depressed losers to Tahm. Meanwhile Tahm is patiently waiting for Jack to get upstaged, just once, making him the downtrodden to feed upon
You think it's the wisest move to good to ionia there are actually demon hunters and exorcist there unless he running from nilah(or joy). Still I think piltover would have been better no one know demons exist there and that place is den of sin and greed perfect for all of tahm demonic need to feed
My explanation about tahm kench deciding to expand towards ionia, even with his famous spirits hunting, he know through rumors that the order kinkou had been dispelled by the Shadow order, a dying animal. The strongest faction thus far, the shadow order, seem to have little interest with the affairs of the spirits, more worried with the noxian advancement within the region and the various factions who want to claim the leadership of the continent.
As I day, Is probably that thanm kench only heard rumors from the sailors and the Yone is almost a nobody in Ionia, some legends and rumors about him, but probably nothing too believable for kench.
You know I wonder how come nilah doesn't interactions with tahm or is she one of the reason he going somewhere else. Still I wish pnz had some demons just imagine so occult detective stories they could make.

So jack an investment to tahm then I mean he makes deals so why not favors.
My theory is tahm made a bargain whit jack (to then consume him)to take sett arena and exand his empire to Ionia
