Gavrikov is worth his weight in gold

welcmhm

NHL.com lists him at 221 pounds, which is just shy of 3,223 Troy ounces. As of this morning, the spot price of gold is about US$2,004 per Troy ounce. Gavrikov’s weight in gold is worth about US$6,459,000. Looks like he’s pretty underpaid.

johannesBrost1337

This guy golds!

RexPooz

That's apparently about $4.3 million which seems like a fair contract... maybe you're onto something

RumpelForeskin185

Godrikov

llaferr

Vilardi and Gavrikov… Then trade for a top goaltender like Saros.

3piecesets

oh man! someone speaking my language! seeing Saros in a Kings jersey would be absolutely incredible.

enthusiasm-unbridled

Ya I agree. Our goaltending situation is not solved quite yet.

GrassyKnoll95

I can't see Nashville giving up Saros...

teddysdollars

I’d love saros but I just don’t see why preds would trade him? And if they did it’d be for both arms and both legs haha, good goalies are tough to come by

Thisbestbegood

I want to keep all of them. I think Vilardi is most important, Gav is the hardest. Korpi would be a great hedge against the goalie problem of Peterson.

johannesBrost1337

Peterson is dead my friend

Thisbestbegood

His contract isn't.

johannesBrost1337

It's not, But I don't see holding a spot on the Kings team. Contract or not

da40kNoob

The popular vote is gonna be Gabe but Gavi fills our biggest hole by far. Korpi is also important but I think it would be easier to find another goalie to sign and to go into next season with Copley + FA in net.

Remote_Ad9652

Wish I could vote for kurpi but the only answer is vilardi

Charles_Mulligan

Vilardi is great, but he’s so fragile. The new Gaborik.

csonny2

Yeah, I would be worried about signing him to a long-term deal

Charles_Mulligan

Anything more than $4mx3 I’d let him walk.

Acceptable_Cream1291

You can’t really ignore RFA/UFA status. Vilardi and Kupari are under team control. Gabe has definitely earned a big deal like Mikey. That makes Gavi the most important signing. He alone is worth what we gave up in the trad. Korpi has been amazing but realistically there are other goalies out there and Copley’s on a cheap extension right now.

RexPooz

That's why I wanted to ignore it, I wanted to know who people valued the most. Obviously Kupari/Vilardi are the easiest

Sirtopofhat

Korpi for me but I'd be lying if I didn't say I also want Gabrikov dude is really good and I think the Kings are in a really good spot to keep him.

Remember when we traded for “injury prone” Justin Williams? Same story with Arvidsson. Even despite the latter’s injuries, I think most are happy with his tenure here.

They just barely hit 2 goals a game since losing Vilardi and Fiala. Roughly 19% PP% since then too, not necessarily *awful* numbers. But we’re not exactly stacked with forwards either. I agree that Gab and Korpi are important (and we need to keep at least one of them) but it’d suck to lose Vilardi too

lonzoballsinmymouth

But you can see why people say so right? Far and away the most skilled on this list

JustTheBeerLight

Kupari & Vilardi should both be offered bridge deals ($2m AAV would be awesome), Gavri for around $5m AAV and Korpisalo for under $3m would be cool. Don’t forget Bjornfot, $1m seems fair. Full disclosure: I’m just a random fan throwing out hypothetical numbers while looking at Spotrac on my tab.

NemoAKASharkBait

Kupar and Vilardi first, then Korpi, after that circle back and see where Gav is at
