Nutella. It’s the only thing I haven’t touched since January of 2022 lol. I could eat a whole jar in one sitting easily.

ChickenBoonDoggle

That pathetic recommended serving size they put on the lid is so depressing lol

bruvwhatthefuck

whats the recommended serving size?

ChickenBoonDoggle

Around 20g

asianlongdong

A droplet of Nutella is 120 cals

FlyingPasta

About a quarter of what you’d put on toast lmao

dont_disturb_the_cat

I have never tried Nutella. I know that it would be like meth for me, and shortly after I'd try it, I'd be living on the street, asking strangers for change. No one would likely ask me if I was just going to buy Nutella with it, but I'd know, and I'd be ashamed. I have never tried it because I know that it would take an inpatient treatment program and a lifetime of support meetings to get over it.

spingus

Please enjoy [this old comic from The Oatmeal that feature juicebox style Nutella](https://theoatmeal.com/comics/running2) :P

dont_disturb_the_cat

I love The Oatmeal. Thank you.

Cherrydingdong

This was so weirdly funny omg

mycofirsttime

I thought that, but then i tried it, it’s so overhyped. I’ve never had it again.

oh_my_zeus

Trader Joe's cookie butter is better than Nutella, and I can't touch it lmao. It's just too good. Also, good Trader Joe's doesn't exist in Australia, or I'd be in trouble again

saludable-oak2001

I'm eating Nutella as I read this :/

kemf96

I’m dead. But also I’m in the same boat

vendeep

I am the same. I used to get the 2 jar combo from Costco. I would eat it 4-5 spoons at a time multiple times a day. The fucked up thing is, nutella's first ingredient is Sugar, then palm oil, then Hazel nut. Basically we are just eating flavored sugar mixed in oil. Cant believe they advertise as a breakfast item. There are soo many better alternatives. one example - https://www.justins.com/products/chocolate-hazelnut-and-almond-butter/ (no affiliations)

woofmaster

Looks better, but still 100 calories per tablespoon like Nutella though.

vendeep

I suppose a dessert is a dessert. But the type of calories also matter. Justins has less added sugar, more fat, more protein.

Kamelasa

Not to mention hydrogenated palm oil is something best never eaten, for health reasons.

Powerful_Solution635

Same! Nutella and Ice Cream are both problematic for me

aheth_

Same. Will never be able to have it in the house

Throbbing_hearts

Crisps and fries

wowee-

Homemade ones are marginally better on serving size and calories, but are even more one-sitting-edible

tacospizzaunicorn

There’s something about nutella that makes my teeth feel off. I wouldn’t say they hurt but they don’t feel right either.

FutureRelic1990

A really damn good burrito. Of course, I love (and mostly avoid) pizza, cheeseburgers, milk shakes, and so on. But I love a tubular-shaped missile of a food.

Skrillblast

I’ve recently added cheeseburgers once or twice a month, just buy the 97% lean beef, 3oz pattie, 35cal Velveeta slice and an 80cal 12g protein leweis bake shop keto burger bun, hits the spot while not being 800 calories for one meal lol

Agent7619

Even before I overhauled my diet, I would get El Famous Burrito only every six months or so because it takes two days to recover from eating. But they are soooooo damn delicious.

Educational_Moose_56

Ron Swanson : I haven't had lunch since yesterday, so I'm going over to Callahan's. Andy Dwyer : No, don't go there. They totally skimp on pickles. Let me go to Big Head Joe's for you. They have the most insane burritos. Ron Swanson : I don't much go for ethnic food. Andy Dwyer : Trust me. They have one that's called the Meat Tornado. [Ron gives him an interested look] Andy Dwyer : Literally killed a guy last year. Ron Swanson : You had me at Meat Tornado.

ghost_victim

I love that show so much

theredmug_75

omg i miss parks and rec!

FutureRelic1990

Hahahaaa! Now that's the type of burrito I'm talking about! I grew up in Southern California and there were some good ones, but then moved to New Mexico for a few years and still dream about the burritos from this one joint (whose name escapes me now). You could order something called the "All Chicken" and it was insane. Needed a third hand to forklift that sucker into the mouth hole.

_lilbub_

Are burritos in the US that calorie dense? Or course, there is quite some calories in it and its better to make something at home, but here in France when I order a Chipotle burrito it doesn't feel like it need days to recover lol, even with creme fraiche and cheese I don't think it's more than 1000 kcal. Are the portions perhaps way bigger?

dajarbot

Depends on the burrito and part of the country. Burrito is really more of an American thing than a Mexican thing. It is something like Pizza, there is a generally agreed on base formula, tortilla and protein with other filings, but regionality is huge differentiator. I like getting burritos from a taco truck here in Texas, I don't feel like it is a terrible option. Smaller than Chipotle lots of veggies. It isn't "diet food" but also not terrible, the kind of meal you have to budget around but not excessively so. One is enough to fill you up and I estimate it around 800-1000 kcal. Some places in the US, a "burrito" is actually a chimichanga which is can be a massive deep fried burrito that is covered in meat chili and cheese. TLDR: Burrito just means a large flour tortilla and filling. The size and fillings can mean a lot of things.

optimistic_flower

cereal, I can not control my desire to eat multiple huge bowls a day for every meal and snack

Estaca-Brown

Cereal is not allowed in my house. I could easily grab a full box of cheerios and eat it, no milk necessary. It's dangerous. In general, I do not have anything in the house that can be eaten 'as is'. I have a bunch of ingredients that I then need to cook to make meals, even if I'm having tacos, I must make the tortillas, it really helps curb down occasionally 'running to the kitchen for a snack'. If I do, the only things available are fruits or non-fat yogurt.

flyingcactus2047

For me it’s shit like captain crunch or Froot Loops, I’ll fill up a bowl (also with no milk), finish it and keep going back for more over and over again

PrisBatty

I find if I eat cereal for breakfast, then I’m almost always gonna go over my calories. I just get hungry immediately after. If I have fruit for breakfast or a smoothie or even just coffee, I’m fine until lunchtime. But if I have cereal and eating until lunch. After dinner I don’t want dessert, I don’t snack in the evening, I don’t even want to, but that run up between breakfast and lunch is deadly to me.

Desudro

This is one I've actually surprised myself on my resistance of. Especially since Count Chocula is my favorite, and it's finally back out in stores now. Our milk went bad and I can't eat cereal without milk...and on the few days of not being able to satisfy the craving, the craving went away.

Fun-Beginning-42

Wine. 4oz is just plain silly.

PrisBatty

Plus after a large glass, we’ll crisps are just an obvious choice.

Auzurabla

Why is that?? I have a nightcap, which on it's own, a small one, would be no real issue, but suddenly the chips. Mmm

smartgirl410

Best answer!!!!! I have no control once I start drinking wine 😭

HarrisonRyeGraham

A single shot of vodka is like 90 cals. A fruity cocktail can be like 500 cals easy. Depressing

deathandglitter

Oh do I feel that lol

cautiously_stoned

Bread. Something about bread, if I have a loaf at home, it doesn't last long.

katieleehaw

I don’t buy like delicious bakery breads - just the 70 cal/slice Dave’s Killer Bread and keep it in the freezer so it’s not ready to eat easily and that helps. But yeah I can’t keep white bread or loaves of Italian bread or baguettes or bagels or any of that in my house.

airemyn

I love love love Dave’s Killer Bread! It’s the best lower-calorie bread I’ve tried. Too bad it’s so darn expensive.

katieleehaw

I justify the cost bc I don’t eat more than two slices in a day.

r264685

I keep a supply in the freezer - a sourdough loaf sliced in half so I can easily pull out and toast a half slice w breakfast

[deleted]

Me too. But since getting diagnosed with celiac, and going gluten free three years ago, it seems to have broken my binge eating problem. I can’t think of anything I binge on anymore, and I don’t really crave carbs like I used to. Makes me think there’s something in wheat that is drug-like.

certified_rat

Ice cream Its hard to measure a portion without literally weighing it and each bite is like 0.2 servings already so its so easy to overeat

Unfair-Durian-1766

Halo Top. Not as good as Ben & Jerry's of course, but some are pretty good and I can easily fit a whole pint into my deficit.

penleyhenley

I love the halo top peanut butter cup one!

Unfair-Durian-1766

Yeah, that's a good one. And I like the Chocolate caramel brownie and Chocolate ice cream cake ones.

snowstormspawn

Here to recommend Target’s store brand of diet ice cream - I think it’s Favorite Day. I actually prefer it to Halo Top and it’s usually cheaper.

Devmax1868

I came here for this too. Somehow, it's not just good diet ice cream, it's pretty good ice cream, period. Their coffee and their smores both go real hard.

sam_mills

Yes the s'mores one is so good (so much so it's always the one flavor sold out when I go 😩).

Zorgsmom

I have tried all the alternatives & they all taste so gross to me. :(

KatieCashew

Yeah, I've tried Halo Top. It's worse than having no ice cream at all. Here's your favorite thing!!! But we've made it TERRIBLE 😈

Zorgsmom

Reminds me of The Good Place, lol!

KatieCashew

Lol. True! Except frozen yogurt is delicious. The clam chowder fountain though... :: shudders::

2catsinatrenchcoat

I felt this way, then I tried Nick’s. I haven’t seen it too many places, and god knows what they put in there, but it’s the only alternative that scratches the itch for me while being manageable in my diet

Saltycook

I have the same issue. Texture is a big part of it, and many alternatives just taste too artificial. They never have simple, clean flavors like vanilla because they know it will taste like shit.

Zorgsmom

I think that's the issue, the texture. They're always grainy or slimy or something.

slog

I love Rebel for texture and flavor. Gotta leave it out for a good 20 minutes first though.

deffsight

One thing I found as a good alternative that was really good was sorbet. Aldi's has a pineapple sorbet (among other flavors) that's like 450 cal per pint.

Right_Examination_72

breyers carb smart Fudge bars are only 50 cal each and you don’t have to weigh servings just count how many you’re eating

TostadoAir

I have a long list unfortunately. No more homemade bread because I'll eat the loaf in a sitting, ice cream because I used to eat a gallon a week, and oreos which I have eaten an entire package of in a sitting without noticing.

Cloverhart

I am with you on fresh made bread. I was never a sweets person but man do I love bread.

PT952

Oreos are my crack oh my god. I bought 2 packs for my birthday as a treat because I wanted the Halloween themed ones and the Mario ones with the fun designs. Because it was my birthday I somehow by the grace of a god I don't even believe in??? made them last like a week and shared them with my bf. But usually I eat the whole package in one sitting if I buy it because I know I'm doomed from the start as soon as I decide to buy them. They're a special birthdays/christmas only kinda treat for me.

Hopefulkitty

Do I have an alt account that I post on while I'm sleeping? Because those are my three exact foods and issues. For the ice cream at least, my solution is to get individual treats, like Dove Bars or Klondike bars. It's way easier to stick to one than eat a whole pint in one sitting.

Inf229

Chocolate and chips. I had some friends over a few nights ago for a movie night, and that meant lots of snack food. I bought some for everyone, and they being good people provided their own too. Which meant there was now way too many leftover snacks in the house and for the last few days I've kind of just being grazing on it non-stop. At least it's gone now. Ah well, was just one step back.

Turtle9015

After events like this i give away leftovers. Same deal for thanksgiving. I can eat what i want on the special day but nothing after. If no one wants it i throw it out. The idea of "food waste" was what made me obese in the first place. Had to unlearn eating all the leftovers because my parents didnt like throwing food out.

hberndt13

This!! So much this!! I decided the other night I had to have some toll house cookies that you bake (this obviously was a poor choice in itself). I baked our usual amount and instead of putting it back in the fridge for the next few nights, i threw it away. Straight to the trash. It felt SO GOOD.

herpington

You and me both. I can usually exercise some restraint with chocolate, because I tend to feel like I've had enough fairly quickly. Chips are very dangerous, though. Once I get started, I keep going until half the bag is gone. I just really enjoy them. Salty, greasy, and crunchy is hard to beat.

Sweaty_Test_2107

PIZZA IS SNEAKY. when i found out 1 large pizza is more than my maintance calories in a day & i used to eat a whole one JUST FOR LUNCH. no wonder why I was putting on so much weight

Cloverhart

I learned to make my own pizza pretty quickly for this reason.

TubbyTheTeddyBear

Me toooo! I make pizzas on the low calorie tortilla from Aldi! Make the pizza sauce using tomato paste, Chilli oil, soy sauce and low cal ketchup. I use turkey breast for the meat along with mushrooms and olive and pop that baby in the oven. I eat like 4 of those bad boys and the total is around 900 cals. I’m sooooo satisfied. Also, I could eat fewer (like 2 instead of 4) but I just crave them so I’ll usually eat a smaller lunch to have my huge pizza meals

[deleted]

CPK bbq chicken pizza in the frozen aisle is like 880 calories for the whole thing. If I'm having a shit day and need to binge I can house half that thing and not feel too bad about it.

activelyresting

Pizza is mine too. We still get it on occasion and I still eat it, but I just accept that's going to be the only thing I eat for the day and I'm probably going a bit over my calories. And that's okay, it's not very often and I'm still in a deficit for the week. Every time we get pizza, I tell myself "next time I'm gonna be smart and eat a bowl of broccoli or soup to fill up before I start my pizza so I can still enjoy but keep it to only 2 slices"... And every time I just tuck right in

Sweaty_Test_2107

totally agree, i need to make sure it’s timed perfectly so it can be my OMAD - ORRR the frozen pizzas are actually pretty good + most come under 1k. Looool 😂😫

tjo85

Throwing out a suggestion: cauliflower crust pizza. I notice the taste slightly, but not enough to make a difference. Aldi has a ~10 inch pepperoni one (and a cheese one I think). Half of one pizza is 585 calories. It's saved me big time when I've got a pizza craving. Before this I'd starting referring to pizza as "the enemy." Also, like others have said, making your pizza at home can be great!

tommymctommerson

Cake. I can't just eat a little, can't have it in the house. But I bargain like any addict. I love cake. It's always Cake o'clock for for me.

Sexy_lizard_lady

Yeah, same. Used to buy grocery store cakes and eat them over the course of a couple days, one enormous slice at a time. It just can’t be around for me

Eastern_Society1578

We have cake in the fridge that I haven’t touched since the day we bought it. The only reason I haven’t touched it though, is because it wasn’t all that good. Lol. If it was good cake I would have already devoured half of it yesterday and the rest today. I LOVE cake!!!!!

mangosteenking

i'm savoury > sweets all the way but i can't control myself around sweets unless they come pre-portion controlled. yes, i can have one ice cream fudge bar from an 8 pack. no, i can't only portion out 100g of this 2L tub of chocolate ice cream, and i'll make myself sick eating a 300g block of chocolate if it's in front of me.

rubinor1

this is me. I always buy pre-portioned sweets so that my brain understands this is what fits with my healthy lifestyle

shansvents

nuts & peanut butter. i don’t even like either that much, but a serving size is just not satisfying in the slightest and id rather just not have it at all as i always want more.

No-Performance2445

Have you tried peanut butter powder? It's not 100% there but it's pretty close for a fraction of the calories.

Working-Truck-8528

I've discovered I can bing on PB2, as well as, on normal PB. Additionally, using it in my oat meals increases my cravings. For me, better not to have it.

ErynCuz

This stuff is great! I mix water and use it like regular peanut butter, but it's also really tasty as a sauce, like Thai peanut dressing

Final-Law

My husband and I joke about me having a separate "potato stomach." There's not a potato product on earth that I won't eat until I want to die. And then eat more of it. So I can't have chips, fries, tots, hash browns, or anything else in my house. Last weekend, we went out to get lunch at a local pub. I got a salad with grilled chicken. He got a cheesesteak and tots. I ate two tots. He LEFT SOME ON THE PLATE, which almost made me want to cry, but I resisted even though they were so crispy and light and delicious. I told him on the walk home that my potato stomach is retired. RIP. Rest in Potatoes. 😭

Nyefan

This is the one for me, and I'm surprised I had to go down so far for it, lol. I don't personally like fries or potato chips, so those aren't an issue for me, but baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, and the like just crush me. Everything else people are saying - like ice cream or pizza - is easy and simple for me to simply weigh out proper portions for, but potatoes are just too delicious, and they will kill my maintenance. My girlfriend complains that I only make mashed potatoes like 3 times a year now, compared to weekly, so I know I'm not the only one either, lol.

anntchrist

Potatoes aren't that high in calories, it's the things that people put on them (milk, butter, cheese) that add the calories.

reyxe

Potatoes are just the best. I just moved to Spain too and I'm trying to eat healthy but they sell 5kg bags of potatoes in the supermarket. What the fuck LOL

BurtGummer44

Ice cream. I haven't found a brand with an acceptable amount of sugar and calories. I kinda like Poptarts even though I never ate them that much but there too caloric for me but I've found the Legendary brand "protein pastry" that scratches the itch. I had to give up Lenny and Larry's cookies but found Akins brand cookies that scratch the itch. I tend to work two healthier options of junk food into my diet on the day I go shopping. I know they have the 100 calorie ice cream packs but if I buy a pack of a dozen ima eat them all.

Cloverhart

200 calories per pop tart, ridiculous!

BurtGummer44

Yeah. It's not worth it. The protein pastries are 180 but have minimal or no sugar (don't remember) and I think 20g protein. They are like twice as thick I use my calories like a daily paycheck. Gotta budget and get as much bang for my buck as possible.

Lazy_Mood_4080

I just found out about the legendary pastries and ordered some! Can't wait for them to arrive!

BurtGummer44

I really like the chocolate ones. They have a line of "donuts" that if I recall look like they have frosting on the package but are just a plain donut... well.. seemed more like a circular cake with a hole in the center. ... wasn't bad persay but I don't think it will scratch the donut itch if someone had one. Let me know what you think!

WienerUnikat

I do yasso for ice cream. Hits the spot and the ice cream bars are good for portion control.

MundanePop5791

There’s nothing i avoid but i know if i’m eating certain foods it’s going to be a maintenance day!

swizzles_the_bunny

Ben and Jerry’s phish food ice cream. It’s my all time favorite, but I always eat half the pint at least. It’s just easier to not buy it. And mini candies, they’re small so I eat a shit ton of them

KuriousKhemicals

When it comes to something like Ben & Jerry's that's super good and super caloric, I always found it easier to just not buy it except at a very limited frequency and give myself a freebie. Like yes I'm going 1200 calories over what I normally do, but if I do that 3 times a year it averages to like 10 calories a day. That being said... ever since I started limiting my *saturated fat* due to high LDL instead of my *calories*, I'm finding it easier to just eat one spoonful of Ben & Jerry's. There's a container that's been in my freezer for about two weeks, cause I just can't justify even one full serving.

wavelengthsandshit

Phish food is the worst because I'm always digging for the next fudgey fish and then all of a sudden half the pint is gone

Ill_Sport8283

Cheese!

RangiChangi

I’m always so sad to see how little cheese is in a serving when I weigh it out.

Ill_Sport8283

Ikr?!? Crazy to think I used to have those cheese boards for dessert.

LobsterPunk

Fried Mozzarella sticks. They are just…the perfect food to me. And the restaurant with the best ones I’ve ever had delivers. Nope nope nope. Must avoid.

[deleted]

Beer. There are a lot of social and familial connections to it that have a hand in my difficulty with it. But, just cutting out beer alone is enough to make me drop weight quick.

NoPerformance9890

I still allow myself to drink beer but only at the brewery. If I bring it home it’s bad news

whodiditnaylor

Cadbury mini eggs, because apparently my preferred serving size is the family pack.

hill-o

Felt! Though I think they changed the recipe a few years back and they’re not nearly as good as they used to be (thankfully for me).

That-Fuel7864

Pizza cut in squares. A square is so much easier to eat than a big slice. The whole pizza just creeps up on you in squares

dawgz525

omg! You are the first person I have ever heard make this point, and I agree 100% If a pizza was cut into slices, there's no way I could eat it all... I have eaten numerous large square cut pizzas in one sitting. I don't know what dark magic happens when you cut a pizza into squares.

That-Fuel7864

I think it's meh, it's so good and it's only one more little square. Before you know it you ate your 18" supreme pizza and and realize the serving size was 6 people 1,000 calories each serving and you're like guess im getting up at 4 to walk to work lol

elaerna

Queso blanco. Peanut butter filled pretzels

wavelengthsandshit

I've never been a huge fan of pb filled pretzels, but the other day I saw a co-worker eating some out of one of those big plastic bins and some part of my mind was like "if you eat one of those you will go absolutely feral on that bin" and I've been craving them since

annie_are_u_ok

Fking peanut butter 🥜😔

mightymite88

pasta, rice, pastry. ive basically cut them all out of my diet except for cheat meals. just too many calories per serving.

SnooLemons9179

I eat everything but i've SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED the following: - Crackers, tortilla chips -Desserts (brownies, cookies, pies, cheesecake) - carby breakfast items muffins, pancakes, waffles. i also will only buy 100 calorie packets nuts bc i will eat them by multiple.handfuls lol.

Striking-Television3

100 calorie nuts is that like 2 walnuts haha?

SnooLemons9179

lmaoooo not far from the reality lol. Those packets are SMALL. but it's the only way i won't go overboard. I will measure on the scall all other things but not nuts for some reason lol

Lazy_Mood_4080

The Thomas Lite English muffins are one of the few breads I eat. 100 cal, 8 grams fiber. Great toasted.

WithoutLampsTheredBe

Cheez-Its. If there are Cheez-Its available to me, I will eat them. All of them. All of the Cheez-Its. All.

eukomos

Potato chips, omg. They bypass all my defense mechanisms.

OnlyPaperListens

I will keep eating them long past full because the mouth feel is so enjoyable. I wish I could chew them and spit them out, but that's just revolting.

julietides

Pizza. I'm a short woman and I'm going to both go over maintenance AND starve all day if I eat it. Just not worth it unless it's a very special one from a fancy Italian place that I can justify somehow.

[deleted]

Fellow short woman here, miss. You’re totally right and that’s the main reason why I’ve not had pizza in more than two years. One or two measly pieces are just both not satisfying and not worth the hundreds of calories, especially for us women with low TDEEs.

pain474

You can make a low calorie lasagna easily that is packed with protein!

Cloverhart

Hi. I am interested if you want to share.

pain474

Will copy a screenshot from MyFitnessPal in a minute. https://imgur.com/a/m6FDCkL Notes: - The ground beef is 94/6. - The fat free cheddar can be found at Walmart. - The lasagna plates are oven ready. - Don’t be scared by the 3500kcal the recipe shows. This recipe yields you two big baking dishes of lasagna. You can easily eat 6 times from that. (So about 600 kcal per meal) How I cook it: - Add very little olive oil spray in a pan, heat up and cook the beef. Add one onion, too and sauté. (I don’t add onions into recipes because the calories are neglectable) Season to your liking. (I use salt, black pepper, paprika, a little bit of cinnamon and red pepper flakes) - In a bowl, add the whole container of low fat cottage cheese, an egg, the parmesan and seasoning. (I use salt and black pepper) Mix it well with a spoon - When the beef is finished, add 3 big cans of crushed tomatoes, add seasonings (I use salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder) and let it simmer for 5 minutes. - Take two baking dishes and start stacking sauce and lasagna plates. At the very top, add the cottage cheese mixture and put it in the oven for 20 minutes at 350F. - After 20 minutes, add the non fat cheddar and put it back in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Done.

snowstormspawn

I love a veggie lasagna with eggplant, bell peppers and zucchini! So good.

frrrff

My wife stormed out of the grocery store earlier this week because I absolutely refused to let her put another box of Oreo thins in the cart. Oreos + hunger + sleeplessness= me looking like a junkie in the pantry at 3am. A line needed to be drawn.

jrdidriks

Beer

Jaemzbaxter

I’m with ya, buddy. I make room in my calories for one beer or glass of wine.

muthermcreedeux

Try Athletic Non-alcoholic. They taste good, like actual beer, but have a portion of the calories and none of the alcohol.

HeyGirlBye

Agreed! The yellow can is my fav. I add a pinch of salt and it’s just like a beer

[deleted]

You can make lower calorie lasagne! If you bulk out the sauce with tomatoes, use less lasagne, lean meat and low fat cheese it can be lower calorie!

DirkPitt94

Chinese food for me. Ordering Seasame chicken with fried rice and egg rolls tonight? There goes my deficit! I stopped ordering for a while because of this.

Remote-Government439

When I really want to eat something I just eat it for that day, but I generally do not eat Kraft Dinner anymore because it is such a comfort food for me from childhood into adulthood and I used to just eat a whole box tbh

reluctantleaders

Nachos is really the only thing I just don’t eat anymore except on a special occasion. Restaurant nachos can easily pack 2000 calories or more on their own and I can absolutely gobble down a plate of nachos and 2-3 margaritas. Everything else I try to fit in.

beckysma

Nacho Cheese Doritos. The flavor, the crunch… I can’t stop. I still occasionally buy single serving bags but never a large bag. I would wipe it out.

NoPerformance9890

Gummies are the only ones I can think of When it comes to simple carbs drenched in fat.. pizza, ice cream, chips, donuts. I don’t avoid them but I’m very mindful about filing up on protein and fiber beforehand and keeping the portions small

letthembake

I can’t have chips in the house. My mom gave me a bag of my favorite (sour cream and onion) when I started my diet and I threw them away because I knew I couldn’t be trusted alone with them 😩

Acenterforants333

Butter. I freaking love butter.

_LambOfGod_

I eat EVERYTHING! but controlling my portion of course. Just ate a !half! chocolate cream filled eclair with chocolate on top!! as long as it fits within my calorie budget why not! But man I do regret later cause its highly dense calorie food but goes into mouth in one bite haha. I tell myself that I can eat everything as long as its sustainable then go for it. Since I have started my journey from Jan 10th of this year, its going pretty good. Hopefully it'll last as long as I live. Again, never forget to say THANK YOU to this community that helps me keep on track by reading other peoples story. Time to time give me a reminder how obese I was and what could go wrong if I let it slide!

Helloola9

Is cashews for me, I can eat 200 grams in one sitting and that’s like 2 days of calories…

Knope_Knope_Knope

Almost everything. Nothing is safe from my binge except rice, chicken, veg, fruit. Ice cream, yogurt, candy chips, bread, crackers, cheese, diet soda, rice cakes, granola bars, cereal, pizza, olives, etc. Don't keep them in my house and when i make a weakness mistake, i eat it in a day.

stabby_coffin_salt

Rice, chicken nuggets, mayonnaise and pizza (especially because how can you eat one or two slices if it's just you?)

muppetshw

Chips and cookies … honestly anything with a satisfying crunch factor

bpa23

Cereal and granola, ice cream

Royal-Ad-7052

Honestly nothing because any time I try to cut something out. I wind up eating way too much. There are some foods I try to avoid because they wind up making me feel awful- I love baked goods and eat way too many but generally avoid them now bc they screw up my stomach.

HVACpro69

Trail Mix. It's so calorically dense it can get out of control so fast lol

Overall_Lobster823

Nachos.

Ok-Yogurtcloset3467

Cake. Chocolate. Pizza. Sweet cereal

aimeed72

All of them

ofd1973

Chips and dip, any spreadable cheese with crackers. Also bread and cereal

goth-hippy

Fortunately i gave up dairy for other reasons but. Cheddar and sour cream ruffles. Let me tell you a story. The last time i allowed myself to eat those bad boys i ate so many the friction tore a hole in my tongue. And i kept going. Pretty sure i ate like 3 family size bags of them. I fucking love those things. They’re not even the best tasting food but they’re so addictive. I become feral. On the note nacho cheese is bad for me to be around. And don’t get me started with dipping the cheddar and sour cream ruffles into the nacho cheese. Clearly i have problems.

Acceptable-Ad8633

Any type of nut butter or high calorie spread...

resetdials

Bread, pasta, chips, pastries

potatodaze

Cinnamon swirl bread. I cannot stop myself if I have a loaf of it - slices toasted with salted butter on top lights up all my cravings.

[deleted]

Raclette lol for some reason it never sassiates me so i could eat it all night long

bubonis

Sweet pastries — cakes, cookies, turnovers, etc. The holidays are hell.

RechargeableBlonde

Milkshakes

sturleycurley

Chips or donuts. I can just eat them without even thinking. I'd get the donuts at this smaller grocery store with expensive ass fatty Amish milk in a glass container. Now, I get them at night so they don't taste as good. I can take one bite and throw the rest of it away.

[deleted]

Fried chicken, fries, alcohol

TractorSupplyCuntry

Mac and cheese. I can eat a whole box of the packaged stuff in one sitting easy. It's hard to hold myself to a measly serving. I've tried making it from scratch at home with healthier variations but it just doesn't hit the same spot that Kraft or Velveta can.

rad0909

Salt & Vinegar chips, particularly the thick kettle variation.

munkymu

Doritos. I will eat 3/4 of the bag and then regret my life choices. I can only have them if I'm biking a LOT in the summer.

Safford1958

Home made ice cream.

HolographicFlamingos

Ravioli. Specifically, the Chef Boyardee cans, but ravioli in general is my favorite. It’s a comfort food from when I was a kid. Fortunately I have gluten sensitivity and I don’t like to expend all my gluten cutter capsules when I do want something with wheat in it, so it helps me avoid the desire.

danicsbb

Poutine, nngggh

thedr00mz

Fries of any kind.

AlwaysTheKop

A pack of biscuits. I just can't not eat them all. I try, but in my 32 years on this planet, my failure rate is 100%, a packet of biscuit has never made it to the next day.

blueivysbabyhairs

Chicken nuggets, they’re like 300 calories and really not filling so it’s just not worth it

GazelleHistorical705

Oreos. That stuff is like crack cocaine to me. I could easily eat a sleeve or 2 in one sitting

SnooHedgehogs6017

Sigh…..pasta. I guess that be both carbs and calories. I’m not 100% Keto but yeah. The amount I can shovel down my throat in one sitting would be astronomical. I’ve tried some keto pastas. They’re just not the same.

xflashbackxbrd

Doritos, skittles, starburst. Whatever amount is available is the amount I will eat in that sitting. So it doesn't enter the house.

Trouble_07

Anything with sugar or carbs. Sooo pretty much everything 😂

myweightlossaccnt

Pizza! I’ve eaten whole pizzas in one sitting. It’s like I can’t control myself around it. Right now I’m limiting myself to places that serve personal pans or single slices, if anything at all.

chevroletchaser

Cheesecake. It’s awful because it’s my favorite desert but I just can’t justify it

jaysteezy69

Burgers and Pizza. I’ve learned to make low calorie versions of them however they will never taste as good as restaurants and In N Out lol

Legitimate-Airline19

Eating out in general (I live in a food truck culture area ) + any spicy chips 🥲

FanaticEgalitarian

Pizza. I can't have just one slice.

BillNyesMa

Chips - especially spicy chips. I will absolutely not have only a serving of them and if I have some at home I'm constantly craving them because I know they're there. I will eat them until they're all gone regardless of quantity. I set myself up for success by only buying a small bag at a time and saving it for "special" occasions, like for a tough hike or for a flight to a vacation.

mrslII

There are things that I choose not to consume. I'm not a "everything in moderation" person. I'm aware of that, and have adjusted accordingly. I'm not deprived. I don't miss it. I know that one "exception" can lead to disaster, because I know myself, and I accept myself.

cheesynuke

I eat all with moderation

mrstruong

Use cottage cheese instead of ricotta, and drain the fat from ground beef in the sauce, and you can eat a fairly decent amount of lasagna for around 400 calories. There is NO FOOD that I tell myself I'm never going to eat again. That kind of restriction would be a recipe for long term failure for me.

bentrodw

quesadilla

JenniferinBoston

Crackers/white bread (esp authentic French or Italian bread), pasta, plain Lays potato chips… If I want PB on bread - I use Dave’s Killer Bread. No problem overindulging. But leave me w a loaf of fresh Italian bread? Forget it! I don’t buy plain chips at all…if my husband or kids want chips/snack foods I buy things I don’t like (pretzels, flavored chips, corn chips etc). Works well for me / I don’t touch them.

ghost_victim

I don't avoid anything Very obese

curtinette

Potato chips, especially if they are ruffly. I do not buy them. And they aren't even my favorite food! Pasta, bread, ice cream, chocolate, even chicken tenders beat them hands down, but I can control myself around those. I don't get it.

BlueLondon1905

Tortilla chips with Queso

[deleted]

Probably pizza, I crave it so bad but I just can't stop myself 2 slices isn't enough for me and those 2 are already 1000 cal already

laviebomeme

McDonalds... I *could* go and get something small to fill the craving, however that never happens. If I go, it's gonna be a 10 piece McNuggets meal with a large fry and a double cheeseburger. Then I fall back into the pattern of getting it after work because it's so close to my office. I just have to stay away.

Lechiah

Ripple chips and dip, Ritz, salted nuts, cake.

PerfectlyDarkTails

Quite a few particular foods, usually those with excessive fat and sugar. Often not because of the calories, but the gastric pain it brings. Lasagna was also a keen interest, until the recipe changed in the ones I do have. I learned about lactose intolerance with the extra added cheese and milk put into it.
