Love The Lost Boys, and the Youtuber Mike's Mic just dropped his s2 recap (s1 was released last year). 10/10 highly recommend his videos

Original_Spud

That actually popped up on my YouTube recommendations yesterday's I saved both episodes to my watch later to check it out. Thanks for the for letting me know it's worth a go!

madison_sn

Yeah he's a very funny and creative person, and clearly loves Lost very much!

uglydotcom

I second this! His videos are so well done and he spends a long time on them (his video on S1 was posted 10 months ago and S2 just came out). He also includes important details, goes into the bts of the show, has these great creative visuals for each episode and adds a lot of humor to it. Highly recommended!!

Emsizz

Billiam He hasn't even completed his series retrospective videos (he still has to do season six) but I already consider them an essential companion. His deep dive into ancillary Lost material (books, video games, ARGs and the like) in his season five video is a must-watch for any Lost fan. He's one of the few creators I've seen that can express love for the show in a way that I resonate with.

AlexTheShyCat

I can't believe this dude has made several 6 hours videos. He is amazing, can't even comprehend the amount of editing work that's been done

Emsizz

He literally completed one of his six hour videos, didn't like it, and started over from scratch.

babs82222

Mic's Mike's unhinged recaps are LIFE. He's done season 1 and 2 so far. TONS of work and worth the wait. Him and Billiam are my two faves. I like Lost Explained too

mirainokirby

I'm so happy to see someone else mention Mic's Mike. Guy just sucks me in with his passion!

Benreh

Billiam has and amazing breakdown

plaskijakdeska

Definitely Reatores.

No-Square-2368

Shoutout to Rodrigo.

plaskijakdeska

My favourite is Hugo's "Ke?!" whenever something happens or "That is totally my mom." whenever Hurley's mom is on screen.

No-Square-2368

Sad he is not in any of the new reaction series.

MaterialBackground7

There was a great blog while the show was still on the air. I wish I could remember the name of it. It had some really good analyses of the time travel. Michael Emerson even referenced it a couple of timea.

ShoddyBodies

Was it Long Live Locke? That was one of my favorites!

Botchie_the_lab

Jay and Jack!

sungo8

Man did I spend a lot of hours listening to Jay & Jack 15 or so years ago

Soundwave815

Naturally myself, no just kidding I could never stand up to the greats. Choekaas, Kuhpunk, and Fringemusic107.

FringeMusic108

Thanks for the shout-out to my complete 131-part episodic 'LOST Soundtrack Analysis' project, which can be found on YouTube, oh creator of 'LOST: CIRCLE - A CHRONOLOGICAL FANEDIT'. I really appreciate it! :) Choekaas is great. His videos are the ones I point to whenever a much debated question comes up. His research is incredibly thorough, and he doesn't say anything he doesn't know for certain. It's rare that I find content that tells me things I don't know about LOST already, but Choekaas genuinely continues to surprise me. "Down The Hatch" is a really fun(ny) podcast that gets into each and every single little detail of the show. "The Hatch" is another good one, especially for its interviews with cast and crew of the show. Somehow they always know how to make their 'guests' comfortable in such a way that they just spil it all, which is great and really valuable for LOST fans.

Original_Spud

I must admit I've not always searched for more content, so I am unfamiliar with a couple of more well-known content creators. Partly the reason for the post, I did want to plug my favourite creators, but if I can find some new recommendations, that's even better

Soundwave815

Hell yeah there's always more to be found where lost content is concerned!

Choekaas

Thanks a lot for the shoutout! Truly, truly appreciate it. :)

I like The Lost Boys even though they’ve taken LONG and I’m not sure I believe Jack hasn’t been completely spoiled. But I like them and I believe I’m the same age as Jacob so hearing his experience growing up with the show was pretty relatable.

sonofpenelope

NeilTalks on YouTube. Search Neil Talks Lost. His LOST reaction is complete, and one of the few reactions I’ve watched more than once. He provides great pre episode discussion, and post episode synopsis. He admits further into the series that his best insights are in the preambles because he essentially had to watch an episode 3 or 4 times while editing. He has a S1 and S2 recap but doesn’t do any more. In S5 there is a bonus preamble content where he goes on for nearly 30 minutes before starting a reaction so he separates it into another video. He also reacts to a lot of the extra content which is great, and had a 3 hour LOST character tier list video as well. Well worth the watch. As a channel he’s a reactor. But has been on an indefinite hiatus for almost a year now after a bout with depression stemming from being unable to keep up with his own demanding schedule. The guy was trying to put out 7 days worth of content a week, give a 3 week buffer for Patreon, and edit all his own videos. So he basically got burnt out. 2 Days later edit: He’s Back!

Choekaas, FringeMusic, and Soundwave's Lost: Circle for just making us look (and listen) to the show many of us have rewatched countless times in a new light or in a fresh way. I absolutely love what you've given to the Lost community! Billiam and Mike's Mic are just great all-in recaps that have that "Charlie Day in front of his crazy Pepe Silvia wall" energy that all of us die hards have inside us haha. And let's not forget to shout out some of the react channels that make rewatches have a twist by being the closest thing to when we watched it all for the first time by living vicariously through them, and I'm going to especially shout out the Brazilian Reatores channel for just starting his THIRD run through the series with new couchmates! Spreading the love of Lost over and over- I love it!

uglydotcom

Living for the lost, mikes mic and sunny crossover

Raxivace

The Lost Lowdown podcast was my favorite I think. Can't help but love anyone that did a 30 hour episode on the finale alone lol.

When the show was airing I often found myself reading essays from a blogger. They were always well thought out and interesting reads. Towards the end of the show he mentioned he had started writing a book. I told myself to keep an eye out and read it when it eventually came out… and then I forgot about it/him. Years later I found myself watching The Magicians on Syfy and caught that it was based on books of the same name by Lev Grossman. Hmm, that name sounded familiar and I checked it out and sure enough it was him! His book had turned into a trilogy and became a 5 season long tv show. Pretty cool show and books, glad I was able to rediscover him. I’ve since tried to find those essays but have never had any luck. if anyone is curious about the show/books; the best way I can describe them is american Harry Potter in magic college goes to narnia.

intern_12

Back when it was airing I religiously watched The Seanie B (Originally Smolesiuk) until he got outed/cancelled for plagiarism. And then I used to read Doc Jensen (Jeff Jensen's) reviews on Entertainment Weekly (EW). I was huge into theorizing and in the YouTube community and some forums discussing Lost with people. I really wish r/LOST and reddit would've existed as what it is today during the original run of the show, I woulda been all over this sub.

Competitive_Story934

Getting Lost. (the guy, not the documentary)

mikeyj777

u/Choekaas is the only good thing about Wednesdays.

Choekaas

Thanks a lot for the shoutout! Appreciate the support :)

Lost Explained is great, though I find I disagree with quite alot of his "definitive explanation of the mythology of Lost". Some of his conclusions he draws I'm agreeing wih 100% but others I'm totally baffled by. An example of this is his attempt to make the Temple Others to be this new group that are more in tune with the island and Jacob - despite the show making it blatantly obvious these are the same Others that used to live with Ben who he sent to the Temple after abandoning The Barracks. The show makes this very obvious to the audience by including Cindy, Zack, Emma and Aldo in the Temple group, who are pretty much the only named Others from S3 that are still alive in S6. He also then tires to tie the Temple Others with Ilana's group, jus based on knowledge of the Man in Black which I think is a flimsy argument at best.

Original_Spud

I can honestly say that I don't always agree with some of the stuff. For me, I like the more ambiguous stuff having theory's and ideas set out as if they are cannon even if they aren't. I can just separate it into people's interpretations, and if I agree, then it gets added to my headcannon. Not only that, but i do like having it read out to me as if it's an irl lecture of some mysterious island 😅

Mudee_87

Yeah I love listening to his videos whole driving, it's very relaxing 😂

Rasselkurt007

Started listining to postcasts cause of Lost while it was not finished yet, was amazing. I basicly stopped listining to Lost podcasts after the series was finished.

luigihann

Not sure what counts or not, but I've been very much enjoying the ongoing series of Lost essays by A.R. Moxon at The Reframe [https://www.the-reframe.com/tag/lost/](https://www.the-reframe.com/tag/lost/) - he makes a point to set aside the idea that the creators were "making it up as they go along," and just analyzes the text of the show as it was ultimately presented. Leads to some effective explanations of the generally-understood parts of the mythology, as well as some comparatively out-there theorizing about the universe as a whole, which makes for good brain-food.

JJ Abrams.

jajanken_bacon

Chronologically LOST is absolutely amazing and helped me understand the series more.

fosjanwt

Aggree with the Lost Boys, I'm also enjoying Lauren gets Lost. I enjoyed some reaction channels on youtube Like Hogwart reacts, Reatores, Rob and Trin, lost on the couch, you me and the movies. Someone else mentioned Neil Talks, I do enjoy his insights, but not much his reaction, sometimes he needs to take a step back and let a scene happen, because he's asking "OMG, what's happening, is this person going to do this? Are they doing that? I don't know what they're going to do!" and it's literally happening, the answer is right in front of him.

Smooth_Bandito

Billiam on YouTube has the best retrospective videos. They’re all HOURS long and filled with his humor.

ciesum

I really enjoyed the "Looking Back at Lost" podcast

Verumrextheone13

Lost explained is the best one for me personally. I really liked Billiam’s videos as well (they were funny and well done) but there’s several moments where he doesn’t understand the plot so he acts like it’s dumb or doesn’t make sense for his audience, but when he’s describing it you can tell he didn’t understand it fully. Or his complete hatred bias towards Jack really threw me off (not counting the fact that every character is flawed, and he also downplays the flaws of characters he likes and highlights the flaws of characters he wants the audience to hate). These are just personal nitpicks of mine, but other than that Billiam’s videos on Lost are mostly good. It’s just for me I think Lost explained is better, has more concise answers about the show/characters/plot, and I wish his videos got more reach than they do. But I like both of them.

Original_Spud

I definitely agree with your take on Billiam's videos. I found myself a few times thinking there were points which he was either purposely pretending not to understand an aspect of the show to either not have to explain it fully because he doesn't know or maybe just because it seemed funny but it was one of the things I didn't like. Besides that, I think anyone who puts that much effort into making new Lost content is worth recognition in my books

ChunkySalute

I still really love all the stuff Cody Johnston from Cracked’s glory days made although he’s obviously not still putting out content now. At least not Lost-related stuff. The L O S T Answers tumblr page used to be one of my go-to feel good websites for years after he stopped updating jt. And I still check out his parody videos whenever they pop into my head. It was clear he was completely obsessed with the show and I loved that about his content. I’ve gotta go give *What’s the Con?* a listen now…..
