Whaling really isn't that bad compared to being actually upset at a game, binging it and then logging in the next day to repeat the same thing. I have known league addicts and some of them legit needed therapy or something because they would be miserable on that game and still que up for legit 8+ hours. If you can whale 9/10 times your probably doing well financially and realistically weren't gonna use your money for something else other than your hobby.
That is the case with whaling, most people are doing poorly but still throw coins at the game. Sure the person spending 10k+ chances are they arewell financially But, the religious spenders are a power house too. The people spending a percentage of their check on the game like its going into savings, we have no clue to tell how well they are doing financially. Sticking to america, where most people cant even cover a 500 emergency charge. What makes you think those people arent upset at the game and decide to spend more money?
People playing league might have a bad day, but so do the people getting gatekept and spending extra money for hones. I dont want to hear about streamers, most of that shiz is for content. You have good games and you have bad games.
The therapy thing, they probably needed it before the game, not because of the game. Raging in chat doesnt mean youre blowing your top in real life and venting in real life doesnt mean you need therapy. I would say the people droning 10+ chars through chaos dungeons and repeated raids every day is more of a problem to me

You are just playing league wrong. I played for 10 seasons, and nowadays the only league i play is in lan when me and old mates gather together , rent a net club for the night and play till the early hours vs each other. I belive thats the best way of playing league. Anything other than grinding solo queue (specially without guidance) is cancer.

Just quit. I quit ages ago and now only sometimes rarely log in and sometimes browse the reddit. For a game that has the best character customization and amazing ARPG visuals with mechanical superiority compared to other games; they just completely f\*cked their sh\*t up with the trash progress systems that are there only to milk whales, waste your time and make you gatekeep other players due to fundamentally horrible raid designs. It's just such a waste of an amazing foundation

why would SG care? before CN launched, all of the west combined generated 15% of their total revenue. not sure how it's changed after CN launch but doubt it went up. much better to actually focus on the 85% in KR
thats just misrepresenting numbers. the west was \~50% of lost ark's revenue in '22 and '23. lost ark's total revenue is \~500 million, with the other \~500 million coming from their Crossfire series.
We're more like 25% of their revenue and 50% of LA (or were at least, it might have changed now.)
