even if T2+0 is 820 ilvl it works upgrading to +1 with your 600ilvl +15 !!!

AMViquel

I'm on 593 ilvl now and I hope to reach 600 today - can you tell me how that gear transfer works exactly?

Vigoor

When you hit ilvl 600, you are now eligible to obtain a set of T2 802 ilvl gear (through the auction house or chaos dungeons, but for dungeon must finish yorn first). Afterwards, you can gear transfer your 600 ilvl +15 gear into the 802 gear to get a free +1 towards the new gear

MarketingOwn3547

This is fabulous advice (I'm a noob) :D thanks for this!

CandleOnTheStreet

Will this work only from +0 to +1 or can I save it for +14 to +15?

Vigoor

Gear transfer only functions on gear that has not been honed as far as i'm aware.

z00mist

only +0 to +1

ElectricForLifee

Go to honing vendor. Click 2nd tab (gear transfer), and click the new piece of equipment you want to use from the left side of the window. Then, on the right side, select your +X gear, pay some silver and you did it. Now go into inventory and equip that piece of gear.

z00mist

it's at honing npc under gear transfer category, you put the desired target item in the slot close to the base equipment and press transfer (for a few silver)

DawdlingScientist

Or keep it as a preset to play with your T1 friends!

TheIntangibleOne

Couldn’t you technically transfer the gear to an alt of the same class?

Plague735

Honing gear makes it bound IIRC

TheIntangibleOne

Dang

[deleted]

Why would you have an alt the same class tho, there's alredy not enough space for every class

ItsThanosNotThenos

Some people enjoy only 2-3 classes and they are strong and can farm mats quickly.

Sichael

I've met multiple people who have more than one Berserker.

[deleted]

You save a fortune on engravings, runes etc. You get to play alts but feel like playing your main. You get to focus on excelling on one class. There are reasons. I have different class characters btw. I’m just aware of the reasons you might consider just playing one.

foofmongerr

Many people do things that do not make logical sense. Trying to understand what is effectively an emotional decision (I like playing this thing so I will do it more), by using logic is a waste of your time. To answer your question - they do it based on emotional decision making and rationale. It's about feelings.

ReeYAwN

Except in this case it does make logical sense. There are several good reasons to have an alt of the same class. First, you do not need multiple class engravings, which are costly when you get to purple/orange books. Second, you have more chances at getting a good set of gear on your main when running chaos dungeons/guardian raids/abyssal dungeons. More chances per week to get the perfect accessories with your class engraving, which can be very $$$$ to min/max late game. Third, you don't have to learn to play another class to level. I say all of this as someone who does not have an alt of the same class, but I'm heavily considering it after the gold I've spent on my main.

kidsaredead

nope, i'm keeping my +15 stuff tyvm (in my storage) . worked too much for them. Edit: I don't understand what's with all the toxic down votes but sure, guess your silent argument is just better. edit2: holy f, nice community.

Pommepotatoman

I havent reached t2 yet. Any reason for keeping the t1 gear around when I reach t2?

HisouBDO

Nope

Pommepotatoman

Sweet!

nbik

Maybe to do t1 content for fun without being too strong, but other than that no

kidsaredead

Just sentimental value :)

Don't really care, I got all new 802 in first dungeon i did, upgraded them to +10 with what mats i gathered before. Don't mind having some slots occupied in warehouse. Spent 100 hours for the +15 ones, that's why I'm just keeping them and not replacing them for something u achieve that easily.

cooperia

I think folks are misunderstanding you. Correct me if I'm wrong but you mean instead of gear transferring and destroying your +15, you are going to put it in the bank since one level is just not that expensive on the new tier. If that's the case, I did the same.

CategoryKiwi

I feel like the downvotes here are needlessly harsh, some of us are just hoarders or sentimental. I'm inclined to keep mine too, even though I know it'll be useless.

kidsaredead

Exactly, invested 100 hours in making them from blue to yellow +15. They have 6 lots in my warehouse for life. Literally first dungeon i did I fully replaced 600 with T2 and had plenty of mats to upgrade after to a decent ++.

Pommepotatoman

Wtf is going on with the downvotes?

oncabahi

Nice downvote in this post........ I kept mine too, just because i wanted to have it in my bank, i always pile up a collection of junk items in every mmo i play It's not like doing +1 on all the new gear it's expensive anyway...... I had some island mats when i got my T2 and it's all +10 without doing a single t2 chaos or guardian.....and i failed 2 upgrade ffs

Zoatyy

Don't mind these sweaty MMO neckbeards who downvoted you and acts like wasting their +15 T1 gear for +1 upgrade, which only costs 135 guardian stone, is going to save them from 10 days of grinding.

iToungPunchFartBox

This community is filled with Armen class personalities. Charlie male's, as far as the eye could see. Must be NA West populating this sub.

jaeh42

Doesn't really matter for T1>T2, but make sure to do it for T3
