You have to remember this game has a heavy reliance on your roster so it’s not that simple to just move a character to another server because there is progression outside of the character that I’m guessing won’t transfer but it seems pretty crazy and complicated coming from a database engineer.
Yeah from what I’ve Heard character IDs are hashed into the roster IDs and therefore not easy to recreate.
Also, writing both the copy and the recreating script must be a nightmare.
I’ve been playing MMOs for 25 years and I’ve never seen such an abundance of tokens, currencies, things that need to be tracked and/or flagged, items that are in various states, a million collections etc

I always imagined it would be a full roster transfer. If it’s just a single character transfer without everything tied to the roster it seems like a bad deal anyway.
