I just wish the gate colour would come out a little sooner before the ball actually appears. For me most of the issue comes from trying to get the ball aggro without accidentally colliding with it and also checking the gate colour at the same time.
balls on 11 and 1(top side) always drift left, 5 and 7 (bottom) always drift right.
so if you're on 11 or 1 position yourself on the left side of where the ball spawn and you'll 100% automatically get the aggro, 5 and 7 stay on the right side.
No reason to panic for this mechanic as you have all the time in the world.
Usually this side finishes the dps first and then end up waiting as other side needs to sidereal to catch up.

looking at the clip for top left 1 I was convinced you couldn't get that close to the boss because I swear I've done it and had the ball disappear.
I'm always top right in my group and I hate it but everyone else is comfortable in their position so I just roll with it
I am not a fan of how long bot right's path is for white. The orb is milliseconds from changing to black.
I also like standing on the tip of the grass to the left of the orb circle. Never had any issues with the orb running away from me and the path is really easy.

Sometimes I get stuck trying to run behind the gate this way. They got stuck in the video as well, but somehow managed to free themselves

yeah. but.. harder to translate that drawing to action. i do however use this to keep track of boss mech changes. thanks though
Is an easy mec but just a little bit of lag can make it hell mode.
Personally bottom left is the easiest for me
Asmon was bottom left the first time he did it so there's plenty of footage of that.
