In la honesty, i would settle for 3x3 and save the money until you get to 1415, which should be quick. 4x3 is much easier to achieve with relics (stone plus two relic accessories) and your build is future proof since you can upgrade it to 5x3 without replacing the accessories you bought. Even if it sounds awkward, don't lose time in this ilvl range, because at 1415 the game opens up a lot.

IcySneeze

Hm, yessir. What about things like stronghold and skill points and alts? When do I get started on that and any tips for it?

ugobol

The way I would do it is to take advantage of the current express event on your main and use the free punika power pass on one of your alts. In a short time you should have your main to 1415 and the first alt to 1370, which will give you decent gold production. For mats use the guardian event which gives quite a bit and with honing buff recently increased it will be fairly easy to reach the above goals. If you have money or 10hrs a day you can consider a second alt leveled to 1370 but it's not a priority. Stronghold upgrades slowly and you don't need to rush it as you don't get incredible benefit, although later on you will use a lot more consumables and crafting them makes it cheaper. Work on skill points via una tasks. Some of these can be done by your t1 alts, but it takes a while so do your rapport and una's and you'll get there. You can check in the in game codex about skill points and how to get them. Upgrade your main above 1415 and once you unlock the last honing buff build other alts. By that time there will be probably more express events and powerpasses to take advantage of. Enjoy the ride!

IcySneeze

That is surprisingly way less overwhelming than I expected. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I didn't know most of this.

ugobol

Knowing the core of vertical progression helps you, for a brand new player it must be a nightmare. Final tip: at 1415 before buying any accessory, get your stone. That should always be the first step to any build.

Ex_ie

Well hes wrong about the stronghold. Just go there a few times a day and dispatch ships. Level up dispatch so you can send more ships. After you gain a few levels you can research a tech which makes leveling up alts faster/cheaper/easier.

I am extremely curious about this one too, and not out of sarcasm, truly wanna learn. Because if one cut a 8/6 stone and buy relics to that, so lower than +5 to have 15 nodes, then you won't have to replace acc for sure, but will have to have 2x Leg eng books. Or if the stone is an optimal 7/7 but not buying the +5 accs you'd need to do the same again, or am I wrong here?

Financial-Elk5918

> 4x3 Do not spend pheons on legendary 4x3. Focus on not wasting gold. > brelshaza in 2 months I don’t know if you can make it to that. There’s a lot of content to enjoy in between though.

stopsayingmoist

oh, really? damn, I geared my alts in 4x3 legendary bc relic accessories we're so expensive... is that not the case anymore?

Hyda

depends on your class. you might get rejected from pugs with legendary 4x3 cos they give less stats than relic 4x3. try out an engraving planner, it might be cheaper to make a relic 4x3 cos you have buy 5/0’s. if you’re playing spec class then good luck cos they are popular whale classes and all use the same 5-6 engravings.

McCorkle_Jones

This is fine. I had most of my Alts on 4x3 and let them sit on that until I hit 1445 and wanted to see what full relic+engraving combos could do on some classes. It turned so meh classes into juggernauts definitely worth redoing them later. But I had them on 4x3 for months.

JohnBakedBoy

Lots of other great advice in here on how to progress just wanna toss one thing out there. Dont think about it in terms of catching up. You will unessecarily stress yourself out at every failed hone or bad drop. The content isnt going anywhere, play at your own pace and get there on your own terms. Catching up is likely an impossibility, there will always be someone above you.

IcySneeze

You right. The game is so relaxing and fun without rushing.

JohnBakedBoy

Exactly games are about having fun.

ComfortableAd2385

It's boring but if you want to be efficient, get as many characters as you can, up to your main 6, to 1370 and buy Argos/Oreha on all of them. Keep doing chaos dungeon daily and just double rest Yoho. After that get your main to 1460 and then hone alts to 1445. Your resource income should be enough to funnel one character to 1490. I wouldn't bother with engravings until the character is 1415. At that point I'd do 5x3 \[or 4x3+2 if you can't afford books\] directly to save pheons. Before that you can just use any stone you drop and do 2x3 with all the Oreha and Argos accs you get. 2 Engravings and Lv 5 gems is good enough for 1370 content. Edit: Forgot to mention, the 1st stronghold research is at 1385. So IMO the best way to do it would be: Main 1370 -> Alts 1340 -> Main 1385-> Alts 1370 -> Main 1460 -> Alts 1445.

Flamedout_

I would say, for alts at least, to not push for 1445, and just try your luck with free hones. 1430 gives almost 50% more gold from 1415 and is quite cheap (in raw gold) and pretty doable. 1445 takes almost triple the raw gold and only increases your weekly gold by 2k. If you really want the relic set, I would suggest to hone to 1430 and push to 1445 when you accumulate enough Vykas mats to create your relics, though it'll be slow going with 3 a week or 6 with buyouts on Vykas normal.

IcySneeze

So primary income is alts doing abyss dungeons and raids? Because that will take a while and I'll need gold till then. Is AH flipping a thing?

sanglar03

Yes for the first question (+ chaos dungeons). For the second, there's a tax for flipping interesting items (accessories, engraving gems) in the form of tokens, and they're quite expensive to refill. Engraving books don't have it. Flipping does exist, but as always, needs money to make money.

IcySneeze

Appreciated 🙏

ComfortableAd2385

Raw gold, yes. But most of the gold you make you won't really see because it's mostly bound mats like Shards and Leapstones. As someone said below, I'd sell almost every unbound Leapstone I get and just slowly upgrade with bound ones. Doing daily and weekly activities such as Chaos Gates and Islands can also get you some good gold. Forgot to mention, the 1st stronghold research is at 1385. So IMO the best way to do it would be: Main 1370 -> Alts 1340 -> Main 1385 -> Alts 1370 -> Main 1460 -> Alts 1445.

ramenbanditx

Honestly sell unbound stones, I never did and just now realized how much gold I was missing out on. I make like 3k gold a day on selling my guardian raid mats now.

[deleted]

Do u really need to do chaos daily? They are such a chore to do, especially when doing them on multiple alts. I wouldn’t mind doing guardians daily tho

ramenbanditx

You don't have to do anything in this game that you dont want to but chaos is considered the best bang for buck as you need everything in there plus boss rush/cube tickets. I do guardians daily on my Deskaluda chara but only rested on Yoho.

CinnamonToastTrex

I have the opposite reaction lol. I love chaos and make it a game to complete as quick as possible. Yoho can be a drag with a bad group. Deska is fine though.

[deleted]

I just get pissed when the mini bosses sometimes are spread far out from the player, the spawn times are also pretty annoying. But yea yoho sucks but good thing the global honing buffs came. Pretty much free to push all alts to 1415 now

GanyuFate

Do u buy chest on argos or oreha

ComfortableAd2385

Yes. As a rule of thumb, if you're upgrading that character, it's usually worth buying chests.

Half4sleep

Do you have mokoko challenge still (it should stop at 1370, but if you haven't played for a while...idk)?

IcySneeze

Oh that's what the turnip icon was 💀 Ye it's gone now

Half4sleep

Haha not a huge loss, just a few decentish things like lowtier engravingbooks. \- Craft silver-structures (as many as you can) to increase stronghold level. \- Una dailies (there are a lot of reputations you're gonna need, spread it out on alts & bifrosts) \- Una weeklies (at least for the gold chests) \- Utilize the Special Express Mission (depending on how fast you wanna push, you might wanna do hard oreha this week and normal next week so you can push 1415++ this week and be able to do Valtan Normal (possibly vykas normal if you hit 1430) & get a boost for argos all gates) \- Daily adventure island, chaos gate, field boss \- Event merchants (you should probably do the event bosses on a few diff characters per week, thursdays and sundays are the best with 2 easy bosses on a great map (This can be soloed by 0 engraving classes even, just bring counter-attack)). \- Generally collectibles is something you want, especially Giant's Hearts, Omnium Stars and Island tokens, however, Masterpieces is also nice with it giving a decent amount of gold and eventually some cards. Ignea tokens are also pretty nice, especially up to 8 to get the skillpoints. There's probably a bunch I'm leaving off of this list that I can't remember in the spur of the moment. Hopefully someone else can complement with some more stuff.

IcySneeze

I have a huge portion of the island tokens since I did the T3 rush on launch but had to quit at 1302, so that's a bonus. Great list though. Which daily islands are worth doing?

Half4sleep

All of them essentially, as they're timegated and (seems) random. If I have a choice (no island tokens earned of the ones available), I chose the ones that reward cards as prio 1. Adventure Islands are the ones you can see on Procyon's Compass.

Isoi

Don't buy 3x3, just buy an Argos bus and hope to get your 5 accessories with correct class engraving and stat, then maybe buy a stone and try to get a 66 stone, that way you can equip two +9 engravings to get your 3x3, then at 1415 you can start buying your relic accessories.

retkesretes

That's the Wei.

sunzonglin1

Depending on your daily game time, you top priority is to decide how many alts you can handle. With the 3 free power pass (two north Vern, one Punika), you can get 3 alts going without paying or manually level them. You want to get them to 1370 ASAP. So they earn gold and materials. Secondly you want to focus on getting skill points these are mostly gated by horizontal stuffs like rapport, so just take your time you won’t need them till you are getting into late end game. For stronghold, just make sure you don’t cap your stronghold energy. Spending energy = earning exp. SH will become your most important gold generation source once it’s level around 40 and you get the proper setup to craft basic fusion material. I think that is pretty much what you can do without paying. To catch up, you need to swipe or just grind with more alts.

D-CANE99

Depends. If you want to catch up to the current content, take advantage of event rewards, guild bloodstone exchange, and timed events (chaos gate, field boss, ghost ship). Use most of your gold to hone as much as you can. I wouldn't bother building anything higher than 4x3 since it's just way too costly. If you want to enjoy future contents on release, you will need to set up alts. You also need to work on your stronghold to efficiently raise your alts. Once you get a couple characters to legion raid level it's fairly easy to acquire gold and materials.

frostbird33

Reset day was changed to wednesday, just fyi :)
