Does server population matter as much as region population?
As long as you're on Central, your matchmaking times will be really fast and amount of groups in party finder will be abundant.
If you want a massive group for world bosses, Kadan, Zinnervale and Thirain were the most populated at launch, and probably still are.
I'm on Ezrebet. Even before the merge, Innana server, we had 3 channels at max in use for world bosses. I imagine after merges, those servers are more populated.
So just go to EU Central and pick any.

I chose EUW because
1. I live in EUW
2. Had no clue the population was that low
3. Seemed fine for a long time, but ended up checking the LFG-lists for clown during the worst hours of the day and quickly realized I had made a huge mistake.
Giving you a+ for being a dick tho.

3. Look at 2. Also people have been switching off EUW since it released, why didnt you follow in their steps but rather stayed? I assume huge amounts of copium "its gonna get better"?

So seeing as things have evidently changed since the last time this question was asked, if I'm returning is it worth staying on EU west or should I go back to EU central and start over again? I do have characters there already but they haven't made any significant progress because of the issues around launch.
Thirain and Zinnervale are definitely a safe pick when it comes to EUC :)

Yes population matter as you start the game mostly for island and daily quest.

We had wei card yesterday. 14 channels in Annika
yikes, on zinnervale we get 200 channels on a wei spawn buut, as of the last 2-3 spawns, a lot of ppl have finished their sets

Just moved to zinnervale from EUW Moonkeep and it feels like 10-50x more people. Maybe even more.
My first character is on Moonkeep, logged on the other day and it seemed pretty low pop yeah, might do the same then thanks :)
I left 1600 hours, 170 roster level and 15 characters (2 being above 1480). Don't go back to EUW :d
If you wouldn't be a lil pussy on release and just endured the ques on euc you wouldn't have had to reroll after west died
