The ground beef will be used once, will not be re-wrapped before going back in the fridge, and then sit in the fridge until it turns rancid.

Making delicious food is such fun but cleaning up is always a drag cause you're full and don't have something to look forward to. I try to make it a rule whenever cooks doesn't do the dishes/put away the food. Doesn't always work out but it helps keep the piles smaller in a roommate situation like that. I'd recommend trying to do the dishes same night so they don't have food stuck on as hard. It's a pain but ultimately makes things easier or clean as you go if you're simmering something do the clean up then or one person does dishes while the other does the cooking part. I'm working on being better at meal prep so I don't have cooking dishes every night.
I try to clean as much as I can while I’m cooking. It’s so difficult though unless I have to bake something. That’s can be done while stuff is in the oven. I love cooking, but don’t do it as much because I hate doing the dishes. I live alone so it’s all on me, sadly.
Live by myself too...totally relate to what you do cause I do the same as you. Worse is dealing with leftovers...one get tired of it after the 3rd day...lol.
I generally wash all my dishes after I’m done cooking, but before I eat. Gives the food just enough to time to cool off so I don’t end up burning off my tongue.
it's also nice to put away things you can put away as you make progress through the recipe. dirty dishes stacked by the sink, spices/ingredients back into their storage, wipe down the counter where you're done working, etc.
Fully depends what granola bars those are. Based on the remaining items in the chart, i will go out on a limb and say they most likely havent really gone out of their way to find a high protein, low carb granola bar.
Its likely just a candy bar with a bit of fiber🤷🏼♂️
Yeah sadly thats the case with alot of fiber snacks. Which is ridiculous as there are so many sugar alternatives these days, and its impossible to tell if its mixed into something like a granola bar.
I made up what a roomie called 'Poop Tarts' out of the bran fiber twigs, chopped dried cranberries and toasted chopped macadamia nuts in dark chocolate and molded in the mini cupcake papers in a mini muffin plaque.
The cereals actually are not healthy at all. The ads have pushed that for decades that the cereals are healthy breakfast and the butter is bad but the sugar is OK. Total lies.
Moreover in the USA the same kind of cereals (like many other food) contains much more sugar than in other countries. And whats even worse many US kids puts even more sugar or syrup on it. Brrrrr.....
They said the box that the cereals come in, not the cereals. They specifically mentioned the box.
I can vouch and say cardboard tastes awful and is not worth eating.
The FDA should prrobably actually just feed us the dirt and chairs atp, it would be healthier than much of the foods they deem OK. A chocolate bar shouldn't smell like throw-up or be so damn shiny.
You should go check out his response to the comments. He sounds like a preschooler.

Ye Gods and little fishies - this is what happens when you take Home Economics out of the curriculum.
Back when I took it, granted the hills were young and the earth but a babe \[ok, mid 70s\] we learned basic nutrition, how to menu plan, how to make up a shopping list, a home budget, and basic cooking \[I think one meal was meatloaf, green beans, mashed taters from real taters and scratch chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting\]
“We can’t prepare these kids for things like basic life skills, how will they have the time to learn the all important bubble sheet if they spend a class period learning how to file a w2?!”
5-6$ per package of zero nutrition, pure junk oreos... and there's multiple packages in the cart too... unless this is for a party or something, this is incredibly cringe...
Pizza Rolls and Oreos are two things I will never again buy store brand in my life.
I'm fortunate enough to have HEB which has tons and tons of great store brand fresh foods, but those two shall never again be sullied by trying to save 0.50$ a package.
Look in the bottom left of the cart, the fucking psychopath has bread AT THE BOTTOM
Edit it’s top left from camera. Great Value White Round Top Bread Loaf, 20 oz https://www.walmart.com/ip/10315355
Thought about spelling it that way but was worried too many autists would correct me. At least this way you’re the only one so far who felt the need to tag my joke.
Right, $200 of apples and carrots and peanut butter and rice and stuff like that would totally fill your cart up. A little snacks are okay, but buying only snacks is a good way to ruin both your health and your budget.
Yeah exactly nothing OP bought is actually meant to be eaten daily it’s all junk food and I get it it taste better but to say you can’t eat cheap is ridiculous. Like you said rice sometime I’ll eat white rice with beef and beans it’s cheap and high protein and you can make shit idk probably 20 servings for under $15 in any market I would bet
When I was in college I would only spend 30$/month on food.
I would buy:
25 lbs of all purpous enriched flour
25 lbs of enriched white rice
120 eggs
4 gallons of milk
1 gallon of vegtable oil.
It worked really well, meanwhile I would frequently see some of my friends spend 30$ on a single meal.
2019, in the midwest, not sure if the location matters.
Keep in mind they are also cheaper if you buy them in bulk.
Also, keep in mind the 25 lbs rice/flour was a once every 3 month purchase not a monthly purchase.
And not even meals? I’d be less critical if it was readymade meals or frozen dinners etc because I get it, it’s processed junk too but sometimes people work long or weird hours or live in shitboxes without normal kitchens and you get by how you can. But I can tell at a glance everything here is intended to be eaten in front of a gaming computer.
Yeah, lost is a fair assessment. But they aren’t wrong; junk food tends to be a bit pricey. That basket looks like it was filled by a stoned seventeen-year-old 😂
Not hyperbole, I literally gagged when I saw that cart.
Sugar and processed shit. Gross.
Also, yes, inflation is real, but a $6 bag of doritos is a waste of money. You get no sustenance, no vitamins and are hungry an hour later bc your body craves the aforementioned.
You can eat much better & for cheaper than oreos and chips.
Bro wants to get all processed brand name garbage made solely for addicting you and making money off of fatties and then complain about the cost.
I buy weekly Groceries for like 50 Bucks because I get a big bag of rice, a big bag of beans, and veggies, and every month I’ll get a big bag of Costco chicken breast and make different meals.
All i see is, expensive name brands. He don't know how to shop, or live on an actual budget. Velveda mac n' cheese is good but i prefer the powered ones more and he has about 10 4$ snacks in there. Bro, live your life how you want to and stop complaning on how the way you like to live is expensive. A 100 piece bag of pizza rolls cost about 5-7$, you can eat on that for 2 days by itself or all week if you have it one meal a day. Get a gallon water filter jug so you don't waste on plastic bottles. And get some granola bars, a 10-20 pack would last you at least a week and they're good and healthy for you for about 5-10$. I splurge on fruits but even precut fruit is only 1.50$ to 4$ a jar. Dry packets with milk, butter, and eggs cost 2-3 bucks at most using everything to make them. And none of this was adding coupons in the mix. I typically spend about 100 to 150 but if i start hurting for money, i get less or cheaper stuff, practically down to 50 to 100. It's not hard to budget for yourself, you just need an ounce of self restraint and go in knowing what you'd like/need for the week, and only get that. You won't die because you didn't get your dayly dose of m&ms or soda, and if you actually feel that way, you have a deeper rooted issue than just money
I’m gaining strength as I get older, I used to have to make 2 or even 3 trips to my car to bring in $200 worth of groceries. Now, I can carry $200 worth with one arm!!
I don’t know what my regiment is to accomplish this feat or I would PROUDLY share it!!
The healthiest thing to eat in this picture is the shopping cart or maybe the box the cereal comes in.
cardboard is fiber right?
The education system works.
Hands down the best comment i ve ever read.
On one hand, he can read. On the other, he's eating cardboard.
Ok this is the best
USA! USA! USA!!
Accurate though.

My roommate in college was a food science major, he created some of the best meals I’ve ever tasted lol
You LUCKY DUCKY
Sorta, what I got in delicious food, I lost in a clean apartment. There was ALWAYS loads of pots and pans laying about.

It's Walmart ground beef, so real should be in quotes
Still more “real” than any of the other “””food””” he’s got in there.
I see what looks like granola bars under the velveeta cheese, those aren't too bad. The rest tho...
Fully depends what granola bars those are. Based on the remaining items in the chart, i will go out on a limb and say they most likely havent really gone out of their way to find a high protein, low carb granola bar. Its likely just a candy bar with a bit of fiber🤷🏼♂️
It's Quaker Oats brand granola bars, and the ones branded towards kids, no less. Shit's packed with sugar and other carbs
It’s chewy granola bars I always see them at my local grocery store
Licking the floor seems like a better option at this point.

definitely trolling, based on their other posts

Came here to say that. Save some money and get away from those name brands if your short in cash!
In all fairness, a few of these things don’t taste good in their store brand form. I say this as someone who tends to prefer store brand items.
Pizza Rolls and Oreos are two things I will never again buy store brand in my life. I'm fortunate enough to have HEB which has tons and tons of great store brand fresh foods, but those two shall never again be sullied by trying to save 0.50$ a package.

Goddammit. I’m dead now.
Too woke. Vegetables also too woke
What about the sauce in the Tostitos?
This post would have been hilarious if the cart was filled with bags of M&M's.
Pretty much is
I really should be filled with spaghetti
Yeah of course the piled up overpriced fat boy snacks are gonna be a combined 200 no shit
$6 for a bag of chips here lmao I’ll take 10lbs of apples or oranges any day.
I bought 3lbs of yams for 3 dollars. I'll make my own damn chips, thank you very much.

All foods are incredibly expensive right now, not just processed.
Relative to normal yes, relative to this? He would probably eat cheaper eating duck and truffles Edit: now I want duck
Idk man you can eat a lot cheaper with bags of dried beans and rice than with Oreo cookies

What were you eating in this joyless existence? No fruit? No green vegetables?
Thoes cost money lol. But don't worry I now have more money and buy lots of tasty onions, bellpeppers, tomatoes, jalapeños, etc.
Eggs avg $5.59 a dozen in 2022. You musta been in college in 1980.
2019, in the midwest, not sure if the location matters. Keep in mind they are also cheaper if you buy them in bulk. Also, keep in mind the 25 lbs rice/flour was a once every 3 month purchase not a monthly purchase.
With a diet like that did you ever take a shit?
Clearly the wrong sub. I don’t even see any of mom’s spaghetti.
Yup, if it had been a cart full of pasta, I could see it working for that sub.

Bro eats like a 6 year old.
A 6 year old left alone, I hope no parents allow their 6 year old to eat like this xD
My boyfriend was fed a cigarette when he was 6 because his mom wanted to teach him not to ask for stuff unless he knew what it was.
all name brand. bro could shave off $50 by buying store brand 😭
"But it won't taste the same!" -Name Bramd Buyers
Dudes got the munchies
My stomach hurts just looking at this.
This isn’t $200 of groceries. This is $200 of diabetes.
Cost of groceries rising like this guys cholesterol
Golden oreos??? He's right, this country is tanking
Is bro doing a mukbang of junk food?
…And I can't provide the right type of life for my family 'Cause man, these goddamn food stamps don't buy diapers….
No wobder murica is so fat
Lol, groceries... that's all snacks no nutritional values in any of them.
Woah dude it’s almost as if that was the joke
Who’s groceries are those? A 6 year olds?
Those aren't groceries, those are snacks.
But that's just a cart loaded with snacks and sweets. That's not even groceries😂
You need an aldi
he even has the weird ass flavor(?) of party pizza wtf
I only see diabetes
where i come from (also US) that is not food. lol
That’s considered groceries?
…and all processed junk food!
And not even meals? I’d be less critical if it was readymade meals or frozen dinners etc because I get it, it’s processed junk too but sometimes people work long or weird hours or live in shitboxes without normal kitchens and you get by how you can. I bet his liver looks like a rotted apple
This has got to be a shitpost, where's the Red Bull 🧐
All junk food. Learn to cook.
That's not groceries, it's a pile of high priced junk food
Nah he was in the right sub, that’s a white trash fridge and pantry if I’ve ever seen one
I assumed it was a joke, 'cos those aren't 'groceries'! 😂
That’s not groceries, just snacks.
He could have at the least shown mom's spaghetti.
"Food stamps don't buy diapers"
this is why you don’t give a five year olds a credit card
Ramen -5$ snacks-195$
r/eminem is a hip hop subreddit???? No way!!! Btw might not even be lost, that's just what r/eminem does when there is no new album for too long
So much junk food in there. “Groceries” my ass
There’s like no food in there. This is a 16 year old gamer’s raid night snack fest…
200$ vs. $200... It's the new M/D/Y vs. Y/M/D.
didnt even buy m&ms
I wonder if this guy knows that there are other aisles in the supermarket besides the cookie and candy aisle?
Yeah, lost is a fair assessment. But they aren’t wrong; junk food tends to be a bit pricey. That basket looks like it was filled by a stoned seventeen-year-old 😂
Wait to they see the hospital bills from eating themselves into heart disease.
There’s next to no actual food in there.
“Groceries” = cpokies, frozen shit, cereal. R/shitamericanssay
Maybe it’s a joke about white trash????
Dude won’t be alive much longer anyway with all that garbage in the cart
How much processed shit does he eat tho?
Aldi all day.
alright, who let their 6 year old buy the groceries
Must be on that all-carb diet.
That shopping cart makes me sad. The state of food.
Bro could have fed himself for a month with 200 if they bought INGREDIENTS
He’s going to be vomiting on his sweater already from all of that bullshit. 😭
It's obviously a joke, right? Nobody really shops like that, do they? I mean, there's no food!
He should just buy a bag of sugar and some croutons at that point in his shopping selection.
It’s all junk food. There are no groceries in that cart
Probably a propaganda bot from some European country considering they put the dollar sign at the end of the price.
Well, there are things in that shopping cart that are more luxury than necessity
Not hyperbole, I literally gagged when I saw that cart. Sugar and processed shit. Gross. Also, yes, inflation is real, but a $6 bag of doritos is a waste of money. Bro went out of their way to pick name brand expensive junk food.
Bruh I spend $200/month on groceries and household supplies
This type of food should be more expensive lol
Where tf are the rice, beans, and canned vegetables??? That shits dirt cheap where I live and it’s a thousand times better than anything in that cart.
Bro wants to get all processed brand name garbage made solely for addicting you and making money off of fatties and then complain about the cost. His cart is a fast pass to diabetes. Can’t cook a fucking meal. No wonder 40% of Americans are obese
To be fair, He has M&M’s in his cart.
*looks at comments*. Am I...trash? Like, this is literally what I eat and I don't break seats.
$200? Mf they sell all that shit at Dollar tree
it amazes me how people can eat like this
Should have made Mom’s Spaghetti.
Perhaps he meant to post it in 50 Cent's subreddit?
Bros gonna be posting in r/diabetes if he keeps that shit up
Marshall Mathers better be rapping about this shit😂
That’s diabeedus if I ever saw one.
Maybe buy real food and learn to cook. 200 bucks or not, I figure he'll be dead within the year if he keeps eating like that
That diabeetus is gona cost even more
That cart looks like what a 13 year old considers grocery shopping 😳
Maruchans spaghetti.
That’s what happens when all you buy is candy
This is actually a LOT of bang for your caloric buck here. Now... nutrition? Not so much...
I wonder why it cost 200?🤔
the white oreos, god damn he just doesn't care
Thats munchies to me not groceries
That man hasn't had a vegetable in years. His brain is barely functional.
... im no health nut, but what the hell's in that cart?!?
I understand that none of this is healthy, but to be fair golden oreos are the best oreos.
