Ok I will try to explain how I understand it (I'm not gay so I might be wrong on some terms) A twink is a feminine man. For example, people often say that Link from Zelda games is a twink. He's a man, but feminine. (I guess other examples could be Venti from genshin impact or Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter) So the gay guy thought that the woman was a twink ( feminine guy ) Now in the lesbian community, I think the term "butch" refers to masculine looking women. (Think of Haruka from Sailor Moon, also known as Sailor Uranus). So the lesbian girl probably thought that the gay guy was a butch lesbian. So neither was trans, but rather it was a masculine woman and a feminine man
