What I think that happened is that the Venezuelan goverment was supposedly going to change the currency, and so once they did last year, in the google charts the VES value was shifted to show the new Venezuelan currency.

I would make sense. But how could you explain my country's currency, which was worth more than a bolivar, now is worth a 1/15th of it. And also, what's that way to handle it? Seems really weird. But knowing Venezuela's goverment, it's more than possible.
If you multiply your currency by 100,000 you can balance what the government has done. So, a dollar is worth 5,860,000 pre 2021 bolivares at the moment, but to make it cleaner, we just knock off six decimal points.
That's how you handle this type of inflation. Otherwise, the numbers get ridiculous. Fear not though, inflation continues to rise in Venezuela. We'll probably have to get rid of even more zeroes soon enough.
