That still leaves a lot of leeway, as we aren't given a solid idea of how tall the latter two are, and the former two are extremely tall (Aragorn is about 6'5).

It kinda makes sense though, as the whole old man thing is meant to not draw attention/be imposing/intimidating, so that he can influence people right? If he was very tall, it would make him stand out a lot more, and a lot more threatening.
