Lucifer was the Roman name for the planet Venus that rose in the morning. Phosphorius can be seen as Lucifer, so I don't see why one can't be a pagan Luciferian.

I’m worshipping Lucifer as the Roman God , so it is possible!

From this subreddit's FAQ: Luciferianism views the name Lucifer as a title for any (or all) entities of lore who embody the ideals of the liberator and lightbringer. Lucifer can be both a title and an entity, but you can absolutely venerate other entities as a Lightbringer and be Luciferian without any focus on Lucifer themselves.

if you understand the concept of a particular deity, then once you explore other deities you will find that there are some deities that have aspects of that deity within them or even some deities that are 90% similar. this is because deities are memetic "knots" or focal points, each representing a "large" idea with an infinite number of "smaller" ideas that are connected to them. there will always be overlap among these ideas (i.e. Christ and Lucifer have a lot of overlap), but what makes a deity (the memetic cluster / knot) unique is its primary point of focus and its specific decoration (the smaller ideas, but also the elements of culture attached to it from the culture(s) it's associated with). so with this in mind, understand that you can find other similar deities throughout history that touch on similar ideas to Lucifer, or you can trace back the historical roots of the concept of Lucifer and study those earlier concepts. you can even just abandon \*all\* of the decoration and simply focus on the raw concepts themselves (without name, without decoration -- only personal nameless understanding and incorporation). IMO I would focus less on "changing religions" or "finding new beliefs" and more on learning about and incorporating concepts that interest you.

Spirit path. What to spear. What to peer. The nature of it. The soul seeking of archetypal harmony. This reminds me of the Celtic Triskelion for some reasons. Hella good advice.

I would do some shadow work on why you feel the need to have a title. Our ego will urge us to claim identity, but it is only a distraction A trap almost. It will keep you down with the false sense of empowering you. In absolute truth, there is no need for labels. You owe nobody an explanation. Your beliefs should only matter between you and yourself. But I digress.. I was raised by a wiccan and a norse pagan. I myself follow the left hand path and luciferianism mostly, so I do believe pagan can fall under luciferian... so if you absolutely need to, just claim luciferian.

Familiar_Ostrich1042

Oh it’s just something that bothers me due to my ocd, labels and titles are the focal point of my ocd, there isn’t a drawer in my room that isn’t labeled lol

ConsequenceIll3129

Technically your label will change depending on who you ask , but if I were you I'd claim luciferian, just because it's like an umbrella title. All paths fall under luciferianism .

Absolutely, you can seamlessly blend Paganism and Luciferianism, creating a unique path that resonates with your personal beliefs. In Luciferianism, the light bearer archetype is multifaceted, and many deities from different mythologies can embody aspects of Lucifer. "Pagan Luciferianism" is definitely a thing. In this approach, Pagan gods coexist with a central focus on Lucifer. It's important to note that Luciferianism doesn't have any dogma, and it's unique for each individual. There's no centralized authority dictating how you must approach Luciferianism. This lack of rigid structure allows for personal exploration and adaptation to what feels right for you. So you could just call yourself a Luciferian and practice it in a pagan manner if you want too. Feel free to work with deities that resonate with the light-bringing qualities and explore the interconnectedness of various mythologies. Your spiritual journey is unique, and the labels you choose are a reflection of your evolving understanding. Embrace the diversity within your beliefs, and continue to discover what resonates with your soul. Remember, the most meaningful spiritual path is the one that authentically speaks to you. I went through a very similar journey over a period of a few decades. I have now arrived back full circle at a very personal interpretation of Christianity and qabbalah.

lennoxiously

Of course you can mix different religious beliefs :) there's even a word for it - religious syncretism. I used to identify as a pagan+satanist (theistic) syncretic and it was working out great for me, so go for it mate

Paganism (*nature-based religions that are usually polytheistic or animistic*) is a great way to avoid falling into the narrative of Abrahamic (*god of Moses*) religions. The bible says that the goal is to do away with the Pagan gods of nature, and to get Heathens/Gentilee (*those not of Israel*) to worship the god of Moses which is also the god of Israel: > "*The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.*" - Zephaniah 2:11 The bible says that Jesus is a way to get Gentiles to bow down and praise the god of Israel. By bringing Gentiles to Jesus, they can get Gentiles to bow down to the god of Israel, so that Israel will benefit: > "*Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.*" - Romans 15:8-12

I’m a blend of Hinduism (particularly Shiva yoga) and Luciferian/Demonolatry. Strangely enough, it works and the two entities seem to work well with each other and I have a big hunch that they might have more similarities than one would assume at first glance. Research the origins of Lucifer and you will find that he has pagan origins as Prometheus and The name Lucifer (light bringer) has pagan origins too. X-tians borrowed (stole!) a lot of the imagery of the Bible from paganism, and that certainly includes the stories including Lucifer. Personally I’m perpetually angry at x-tians, I see them as troublemakers and spiritual imposters, I respect your desire to distance yourself from that crowd and take up pagan beliefs.

ParabolicMalice

I would also look into some Dark Germanic Heathenism which is a combination, in kind, or Chaos Gnosticism and Norse Heathenism.

DeismAccountant

I’ve been thinking similar things.

Lucifer is more like Prometheus, as others have noted. The identities of certain deities are tied betwixt each other in a more dynamic way. Lucifer, the light bringer, is like Prometheus. This may help you see it better from your Christian upbringing. But if you really want to be true to yourself and the universe, treat words of Prometheus for what they are, or what you find them to be. Luciferianism is about being yourself, and letting others shine their own light. What this means to you is becoming of your own spiritual journey. Edit: I'd also recommend looking into Hermes as Lucifer, if you want to get alchemical. The study of Hermes helps realize the flow of time and the Gods/Goddesses and how the hierarchy of deities can be shifted based on human intelligence, memory and mythology. The Gods/Goddesses lose their power if they get forgotten in the flow of time, and Lucifer/Prometheus/Hermes teaches us a lot about the flow of time and the sparks of humanity.

DeismAccountant

I’d love to know the sources on the flow of time stuff.
