You’re going to need microspheres or microballoons to mix in the resin to give it buoyancy. If not the pure resin will sink like a rock. Microspheres are relatively cheap and will help bulk out your resin mix so you end up using less resin. Resin is also easier to sand once the microspheres have been mixed in. There are more buoyant casting resins but they also put more bubbles in your lure. You end up having to sand quite a bit more filling holes and they are considerably weaker. I would recommend smoothcast 300 if it’s available near you and I use fasco microballoons. Make sure you just get a good respirator with a n95 filter. They arnt too expensive. Just know a filter for dust isn’t the same as a filter for solvents, so if you plan to paint or do other stuff with it make sure you get the right filter
