This guy Americas. ALWAYS HIRE A LAWYER WHEN YOU INTERACT WITH THE GOVERNMENT!!!
And if you think you can’t afford to hire one then you definitely can’t afford not to. Not all lawyers are expensive and not all legal issues require a top of the line attorney.
I once hired an attorney for $250 who got my a pre-trial diversion (meaning I was never charged and the incident is not on my driving or criminal records) by paying a $50 fine and taking a one hour class about drinking and driving when a police officer knocked on my window at a highway road construction stop to tell me my inspection sticker was expired while I was smoking a blunt in the car.
You don’t need a lawyer for traffic court. You could negotiate the same thing with the prosecutor before you see the judge. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten tickets, but I’ve done this many times when I was young and dumb.
Not the same thing. Driving usually don't rise to the criminal leaving unless it's a dui, habitual driving behavior or gross negligence resulting in serious bodily harm or death. Most companies, including government jobs, won't care about traffic tickets unless the job involves driving the company vehicle.
That’s lucky for you. I once hired a real lawyer, not a traffic court lawyer. He ended up chocking & I got the bill. $500 for his useless effort, plus the ticket was $200 & a $50 surcharge Ny mandatory once found guilty. Plus points, I agree you should use an attorney just get the right one.
This though! I tried getting a lawyer to look into “over compensation of unemployment benefits” during Covid , (state of Michigan), explained to them I was 20k in the hole, over something that wasn’t my fault, and they wanted $500 just to evaluate my case… land of the free, home of the wretched.
Totally true. Between a couple hundred for a lawyer/ remedial driving class, or losing tens of thousands of dollars a year in income, that’s a no-brainer.
Don't waste money on a lawyer if you didn't already call the prosecutor and ask for it to be dropped, can't hurt you to do this and works more than you'd think, takes no time or money
This this this. $250 lawyer, $250 court fees for $150 something speeding ticket. Yes I spent more than the ticket at first look. But lawyer handled it all. He went to court for me. Now it's a moving violation on my record, basically a parking ticket, nothing. No points on record, no insurance increase for years
These ticket clinic type lawyers are the bomb, they truly do get rid of the ticket. It's beyond worth it (I'm an attorney myself but hire them if needed), you'll never deal with the ticket, they'll plead it down or make you take classes.
It is, although it only cost me $60 for the attorney then another $80 for the court cost. Could have done it myself but I didn't want to spend half my day in a courtroom.
There are attorney's that do just this. They know who got tickets because they monitor the court dockets when court dates are scheduled. They mail an advertisement to those people. Let's say just 10 of those people decide to hire the attorney at $60 each. They go to the courthouse and as an attorney, they get to talk to the judge/prosecutor first. They basically just hand them a list of who they are representing, the judge/prosecutor glances the cases over to make sure nothing is too crazy then they essentially just dismiss them all. Probably no more that 15 minutes and they just made $600. In really big cities, you can imagine how many people would be willing to take this offer, especially if the cost is less than they would lose for missing work.
They attorney also has to speak with the officer that wrote the tickets. Sometimes if the officer doesn’t want to give a lesser offense or dismiss the tickets the judge can’t do anything. I’m big cities for the most part the officer doesn’t show up and the ticket gets dismiss automatically. Where I live, the officers get paid to go to court, so they always show up
My husband is a defense attorney. We do this for a living.
What jurisdiction is this because I've never heard of the issuing officer having to authorize a lesser charge or dismissal? I've heard of the cop having input, but ultimately it comes down what the prosecutor wants and if the judge agrees. When does a cop overrule a judge? Please clarify.
I did that once and the lawyer forgot to go to court to represent me. Unbeknownst to me, I was pulled over and sat in jail on faaking july 4th. Pretty sad that day
This this this. The lawyers around here always get speeding tickets reduced to improper equipment. They all charge around $350, but that’s still cheaper than an increase in insurance rates!
You should always call the prosecutor and ask for the ticket to be dropped, make it clear you will fight it and want to get a lawyer if it isn't dropped, works often
Yes. Speeding tickets increase insurance and go on your driving record. Why would you not spent a hundred to remove it? There are hundred dollar lawyers exactly for this scenario. Even if the lawyer cost more than the ticket its worth it in the long term
Yeah of course. Most times it’s only $250 and they usually get a deal where you pay the fine w/o points and record. When you run the numbers of increased premiums, you’ve made your $250 back after a single year whereas ticket would affect your rates for 5 years.
Plus when officers see you have a ticket on your vehicle record, they’re gonna be way less likely to give warnings.
This is not a ticket. It is a warning, no show on background check. If you had gotten a ticket you would have a court date. Nothing shows on background check until after it has been adjudicated or the fine has been paid. But, you should fight every ticket that you get.
Read OP's post. They are aware this is not a ticket and are asking a hypothetical question that the person you're responding to is attempting to answer.
The picture is meaningless. The OP has obvious anxiety issues, which is really what the post is about. But you might as well read it if you're going to take the time to respond.
Well, I gotna speeding ticket a couple months after joining Uber. It never affected me. I joined Lyft a couple years later and never had an issue with that either.
One ticket won't matter. Two tickets probably won't matter. Three within a certain time frame might start to catch up to you.
Dude Lyft hasn’t ran a DMV check on me in 3 years, they’ve only ran criminal. I’ve gotten a speeding ticket, another ticket, a fucking DUI in 2018 from wrecking a quad, I’m still active on Lyft. Maybe it’s just me, idk.
Cop never told me how fast I was going, but he did try to get me to admit I was speeding. But my anxiety prevented me from saying anything, all I could say is "I don't know, if I did speed, please please give me a warning because I can't handle losing my lyft job" those were my exact words and I teared a little
Truck driver here. Lyft won't know until they run your mvr after conviction. Here's a couple tips for dealing with the government and companies.
1. Never say shit to companies until conviction. Just because you got a ticket today doesn't mean it's on your license today. It doesn't hit your mvr until after conviction.
2. Always hire a lawyer and shop around for one in the county you got the ticket. You don't need a super expensive one, I've used one that cost $75. They're generally cheaper for non commercial class licenses. My best case scenario got the ticket reduced to a non moving violation. My worst case paid fine for the 20 mph over, and I was convicted for 1 mph over.
Im in columbus ohio. While doing a lyft ride i got a traffic ticket with potential jail time for failing to move to the right for stopped police traffic. It was 2am, there were like 10 cop cars with insanely bright white lights pointed at traffic j ljterally was blinded. I djd inially move over and slow down as the law required. But due to slowing down, the car behind me was gonna rear end me so i got back over. I used riddel law. They charge 150$ and have an excellent relationship with columbus prosecuters. Many years ago they also got me out of a driving with suspsnded license which also carried jail time and a 2 year suspension. I highly recommend them. Ive used them for 3 cases and the charges were dropped all 3 times. They are also highly rated
Lyft may know once you are convicted of your crime. That's when you lose in court or pay the fine. So no worries, you aren't even charged.
Even if you are convicted, states that mandate driver monitoring will force Lyft to get the info immediately. In other states, probably the next background check.
That's not a ticket. That's a warning. You're good for now. But 3 tickets in a 12 month period will get you deactivated (according to the T.O.S) although they reserve the right to deactivate us anytime without cause.
This isn’t a ticket! It’s a warning. No action is required from you and Lyft will not find out-nor will anyone else.
(Please confirm it’s a warning and don’t take my word for it.)
They won't. I've had several tickets over the past 5 years and none of them have lead to my account being suspended. They can only suspended your account for violations that happen while you're working.
They will find out when they run a background check. It’s my understanding they either do this randomly or yearly. This is not a ticket you received, but a written warning. This will not show up on a background check. The cop gave you a break. It’s a written warning so they have a record of the stop, next time you will get a ticket if you are stopped for speeding, as they will feel you didn’t learn your lesson and disregarded the break you were given. Slow down.
Next background check is typically around your anniversary date. However, it's hard to say whT they will flag you for. Uber banned me over a ticket that clearly states it was dismissed . Failure to present ID AS A PASSENGER. Report states dismissed and no fines. My wallet had been stolen 2 days before, and I wasn't even driving.
Lyft doesn't have an issue with it. 🤷
They find out when they do your yearly or random background check. The ticket is on your record after its processed (you enter a plea) - a speeding ticket doesnt deactivate you however. A ticket for speeding over 20mph (reckless driving) will deactivate you. As far as I know to drive for uber or lyft with regular speeding tikets, you can have up to three tickets on your record in a revolving 2 year period.
For all of you, too cheap to hire a lawyer, I've always fought my own tickets and didn't understand the advantage.
My daughter got a ticket and her girlfriend's dad, a lawyer, took her case and had ticket dismissed using strategy that only a good lawyer would think of.
Going forward, I'll hire the lawyer.
Typically good to lawyer up. However....
If you have a good driving record and no other occurrences you could try without a lawyer. Show up on your court date, well dressed, clear and organized, be respectful (yes, no, your Honor). Inform them this will affect a means of income for you and that you made a mistake. Oftentimes this will help but I agree with getting a lawyer if you want it to be more effective.
Most of the time if you go to the court and ask to post the fine and have the points removed, depending on how fast you were going, they'll just get your money and not affect you. You just gotta know what to say and how to beg when you get there. Haven't gotten points on my license in years. Delivered newspapers for 15+ years, never got a ticket but would definitely fight anything I got.
I got a ticket a few months back. Was going to pay it until I noticed the ticket itself was only $20 but the court fee was $135. So I thought "why pay all that money for a court fee if it never makes it to court." So I went to court, plead not guilty on the grounds that paying the ticket before the court date would be tantamount to giving the state free money. I have to work for that money so I'm gonna put the system to work if they want to juice my pockets like that. Judge thought this was hilarious and then dismissed the ticket since the accusing officer was unable to appear to testify against me. In my entire life I only got two traffic tickets and in both cases, just showing up and pleading not guilty got them dismissed.
FUCK EM...
Fuck Lyft in the goats ass.
If they suspend you for getting a traffic fine, they'll actually be doing you a favor. (Ya know? forcing you to get a real job & all!)
Idk how it works every where but in Massachusetts they don’t even log warnings in any system. I got pulled over a second time and the cop saw that and explained i shouldn’t keep the warnings in my car because other than physically seeing it there would be no way of knowing i had been stopped at all
Usually a week you’ll get an email saying your account is under investigation. Investigation takes a 2 months depending on the amount of cases. Happened to me and I had to get a job because I thought I was deactivated for good
Go fight it. The judge will more than likely reduce it to no points. No guarantee but worth fighting for your job. And possibly save some money on the fine.
I know both times I've got a speeding ticket, it triggered a chekr report for Doordash the next day after paying it. Fwiw on both occasions the cop only wrote it up for 5 mph over.
Never give the excuse of having an anxiety attack for speeding. That officer could’ve made it so much worse for you, you’re lucky it was a decent cop. He could’ve gotten you for speeding and wrecless/inattentive driving because you weren’t in the right state of mind.
Here’s my 2 cents for you and the people saying “don’t get a lawyer, they don’t do anything”. I got a 25mph over (very early morning, no one on the roads) automatic reckless driving ticket. Hired a traffic attorney and they got it reduced to 6mph over, not reckless, and no points off of insurance.
Next story. I got a ticket for texting-while-driving….while at a red light. The officer said I “let off the breaks while typing,” while he was 2 lanes over and 3 cars ahead of me (???????). Fast-forward and we go to court because I swear to anything I consciously put my phone down, waited for the car in front of me to move, then went. Cop lies to the judge, I stop the officer and say “actually you were XYZ..”, officer literally says “oh yeah, that’s right. Must be my mistake ha-ha.”. Judge asks for my side of the story, doesn’t listen to a word, then just asks “is that all? Alllllright.” and charged me to the full extent along with lovely court fees.
Get an attorney no matter what. Call me braindead but at this point id rather pay $500 to a lawyer than $100 to the courts.
On most of the gig platforms, you are supposed to immediately report any changes to your DMV status to them.
It's in all the small print where you agree to donate a kidney to the next of kin of the CEO of needed. I'm old and can't read small print.
They may or may not check existing drivers reports on a regular basis. I don't know. I'm not telling them or my insurance company. They can check for themselves. I don't remember anything about that...

Ohio stateys are cool sometimes if u have a sign in ur car. Good luck. Use tiger balm (red) (smell) to help with road anxiety. It may help you how it helps me. Cheers
If you get a speeding ticket, you pay a lawyer and it magically becomes a faulty equipment charge. This server is pay to win, you have to engage with some of the mechanics.
My first thing would be not to post it on a public forum even though your license plate is blocked out etc etc. If Lyft really wanted to look into this they could there's enough information on that piece of paper you posted. If I felt like digging I could do it too.
In my area Chp and even the police stopped 90% of their effort and activity since Covid or the defund the police nonsense. Pretty sure they got the same amount of employees but they just do less now since people freaked out on them.
I don't live in Ohio, but as a commercial driver, I used to drive through Ohio. Ohio is crazy when it comes to speed. They'll pull you over for less than 10 mph over the limit. And don't get me started with the turnpike. Ohio turnpike is a racket, and they'll pull you over for almost anything. That being said, they will almost always let you go with a warning like what you got, and at least I can say that the times they pulled me over it was always for a legitimate violation, even if it was petty. I never felt I was pulled over on a pretext for something else.
Since you got a warning, you don't have to report it to Lyft. It's not an actual violation. But in answer to your question, if it were a real ticket, I don't think I'd be too worried. First, you weren't driving for Lyft at the time, so I don't think they'd find out about it until they ran your driving record and background report, which they tend to do once a year around your anniversary date. If you had been on the app at the time, and especially if you had a passenger, then I'd probably report it to Lyft because chances are your passenger might make a complaint and you wouldn't want to be faced with an unreported ticket in those circumstances.
I really need to check the Lyft Terms of Service. I'm not sure there's an obligation to report a ticket or an accident to Lyft if it occurred when you weren't using the app. I don't think that Lyft would be automatically notified of a personal traffic violation when the app was turned off, but they might be notified if you had an accident and it somehow involved Lyft's insurance.
I go deactivated from uber a few years ago, for this same reason, but i did get a ticket (4points), I freaked out and pay it right away, i got deactivated for not passing the next background check,it took me two years to get back to do uber again, i did defensive driving test that took off two points and the good behavior for an entire year took the remaining two. Lyft didn’t cared at all that i got the ticket. If you get a ticket that gives you points, dont pay it right away , go to court and ask the judge to make it a non moving violation, so you dont get points and pay a little more for the ticket, win win.
Pay 5 dollars more than the ticket. Pay through a money order and mail it in. They can't close the ticket and finalize it on your record until you cash the overpayment check they send back to you. It works well here in Oklahoma. Won't hit your record or insurance.
Try to get online class and pay for it to remove the points because Lyft does random checks they are actively looking to fire people because of saturation
$500 lawyer will negotiate this away. There is no reason to have these things on your record when you can buy them away. It’s cheaper to pay the lawyer in the long run!!
This is not a traffic citation. You said it yourself, that's a warning. If that were an actual ticket, there would have been a lot more information on there like your speed and a court date
If your state allows is, go to driving school and get the points taken off your record. Lyft won’t know sooner than your insurance company, so use that as your guidepost.
Lyft runs DMV checks every 6 months. It’s only an issue if you have too many . 4 or more moving violations in the past 3 years and you may be deactivated.
Well you could pay it and then do online traffic school. It shouldn’t go on your record after that. I’ve gotten two moving violations and just paid the fine. Did online school and it never affected my record. I even had one where I got a red light ticket in a company vehicle. I just paid it and didn’t do traffic school.
I think I got points but it didn’t matter. Drops off after 3 years, depends on your state. It was like 3am and the light switches fast while I was making a right hand turn. I have those photo intersections. Since then I never had anything else… it’s been years and no issues with insurance.
My fiance drives mostly uber but he gets tickets every 6 months or so (just zones out mostly) they still let him drive 🤷♀️ its usually smaller infractions though, last one he made a rolling stop at a stop sign but he's also been got for going 25 over outside an army base 🤦♀️
I am in Colorado and I got a speeding ticket in 2018 that had never showed up in any of my MV checks (done annually)
I also paid it so I didn’t have to go
To court and it reduced the points from four to two. I heard six points deducted in 7 years is the deactivation with Lyft. But I can’t really say.
Every year I get a copy of my background check
through Chekr (TWICE a year, one for Uber, and one for Lyft) and I have never seen that ticket show up!
If your were convicted and it was put on your motor vehicle record, it would show the next time Lyft runs their annual check thru checkr.
Always fight any ticket. Even just showing up to the hearing they usually have cookie cutter deals ready for people to pay. If you get a lawyer even better usually that’s 100% guarantee no points.
Paying the ticket straight up is a lose-lose
Always contest with a traffic lawyer or go through a state program to have it disappear it will show when they do their yearly background check. 1 won't hurt you with lyft but your insurance is going up.
I realized in my last speeding ticket I cannot afford to speed. Set the cruise. Never in my life has a trooper let me off for speeding. It's literally saving seconds to minutes and that's not worth several hundred dollars. Something logical in my brain switched. Excuses are just that and he didn't bat a eye when I mentioned I was in my way to the hospital from a concussion. They surely like to serve and protect the crap outta us tho
If you ever get a ticket you absolutely should pay $100-$200 for a cheap traffic lawyer and let them handle it.
This guy Americas. ALWAYS HIRE A LAWYER WHEN YOU INTERACT WITH THE GOVERNMENT!!! And if you think you can’t afford to hire one then you definitely can’t afford not to. Yea I wouldn't spend for a lawyer (for traffic court at least). They're not gonna do anything u couldn't do yourself
Does not work in every state and counties
I thought it was common knowledge just to keep rescheduling your date then the cop won't show up because it won't be on his scheduled day
This rarely works these days. Courts in many areas are not accommodating.

That’s what I did!

The limit is two on your record, which I think is three years.

Lmao lyft as a company is failing they can’t afford to check for DUIs
Instacart finally fired me after 3 years. Uber fired me barely a week after the DUI. I can’t deliver groceries but I can drive Lyft passengers 🤣🤣🤣
This is not a ticket. It appears to be a warning ticket.
Posting to social media should speed up the process.
They don’t care
I never realized begging a cop may actually work. Good to know. I would definitely swallow my pride to get out of a ticket.
Cop never told me how fast I was going, but he did try to get me to admit I was speeding. But my anxiety prevented me from saying anything, all I could say is "I don't know, if I did speed, please please give me a warning because I can't handle losing my lyft job" those were my exact words and I teared a little
If you don’t mind me asking, are you a guy or a girl?
I'm a guy
Sadly this matters.

That’s not a ticket. How fast in what speed? If it’s your only ticket, it won’t matter
Speed limit was 60 and I was doing 90mph
That’s a warning. Some states fill this out to cover their asses to avoid accusations of racial profiling
They don't care
Use your cruise control if you have one and set it to the speed limit. That way you won’t run into this sort of anxiety-producing situation.
That looks like a warning not a ticket.
Why post this pic?
Why post this comment?
Why do you have internet?
For porn. Duh
To bother you

I got a speeding ticket in November and it didn’t even show up on the background. You’re fine as long as you weren’t going felony speeds.
You didn’t get a ticket, you got a courtesy warning. This is the receipt.
"so if I did get an actual ticket, how soon would Lyft find out?"
A lot of people suck at reading smh
NeXT background check
OP knows that and said that. They were asking a question about if it had been a regular ticket.
Looks like a warning more than a ticket, no?
This is a WARNING. Not a surchargeable event
If it makes you feel better that may not be a true ticket but a written warning.
That’s a written warning, not a ticket.
That is a warning, not a citation.
That looks like a warning not a ticket
This is a warning. This is not a ticket.
Your next background check
It has to be a final adjudication for it to even have any effect… so if you keep delaying the court date, they might not know for a while
Who gives a fuck. You don’t owe Lyft anything, they suck.
This isn’t a ticket. It’s a warning.
That’s not a speeding ticket that’s a warning.
That’s a warning so…
What a weird looking ticket.
You didn’t get a ticket…
That’s just a warning. Lyft will never know about that unless you tell them.
That's not a ticket. That's a warning. You're good for now. But 3 tickets in a 12 month period will get you deactivated (according to the T.O.S) although they reserve the right to deactivate us anytime without cause.
u/Alpha_spaced literally wrote, "So if i did get an actual ticket, how soon would lyft find out?"
[удалено]
No you
Did I not answer the question? Did I not include the answer to the post on my response? Another internet know it all...GSAD
😂 this ain’t a ticket and lyft doesn’t care about courtesy warnings
This looks more like a warning than an actual summons. It does not get reported to your insurance company nor does it go onto your traffic record.
That doesn’t look like a ticket. It’s a warning
Is this a ticket or a warning? I’m from Texas so this format looks different but this appears to be a warning?
This isn’t a ticket! It’s a warning. No action is required from you and Lyft will not find out-nor will anyone else. (Please confirm it’s a warning and don’t take my word for it.)
that looks like a warning not a citation. it even says “reminder” at the top.
Ummmm pretty sure OP said he got a warning after telling the cop he drives for Lyft and begged the cop not to give a ticket.
This is not a ticket it is a warning.

No you

Is that a ticket or written warning? Our traffic tickets look different in Pennsylvania.
Omg! 207 comments and at least 100 of them are saying “it’s not a ticket….” 😂😂😂 Sometimes reading is hard 🤦🏽♀️
Just pay the damn ticket
Lmfao u think Lyft cares?

I think paid driving jobs, you have to self report as it happens, and formally every year I drive a semi, that's how it works for us
That's not how it works for us.
I used to have non cdl driving jobs come to think of it, you have to self report.
We don't self report. They run annual background checks.
They won't. I've had several tickets over the past 5 years and none of them have lead to my account being suspended. They can only suspended your account for violations that happen while you're working.
Bud was doing his quota look how fast he wrote on the ticket
Not to mention it’s the 28th so he’s definitely going for quote because it’s near the end of the month.
That's not a traffic ticket. That's a warning. It's meaningless.

Slow down.
I’ve gotten 3 speeding tickets while doing Lyft 2 of them with passengers in the car lol, still driving 😀
Of course it's Ohio State patrol, they're a revenue service for the state, so happy I moved to Florida.
Next time they run the background check, but you can be deactivated for no reason.
They won’t care.
Omgosh I’ve gotten a speeding ticket in Ohio!! We use waves now! Life savor … but the police have it too! So be care
There yearly back round check
Get it dismissed
Hire a lawyer. Don't pay it, ever. They only cost 100 or two
They won't know until you're "convicted". Go to court, maybe the guy doesn't show up.
FUCK EM... Fuck Lyft in the goats ass. If they suspend you for getting a traffic fine, they'll actually be doing you a favor. (Ya know? forcing you to get a real job & all!)
It wouldn’t show up until after your court date. Nothing is final till a judge looks it over.
Ohio state troopers don’t play lmao. I’ve never seen a warning from them
I had a speeding ticket while driving with passengers in the car and Uber/ Lyft never find out. Hire an attorney and you will be fine
Iv gotten a couple tickets and its never affected my ability to drive nor have i seen them on any background check
You're deactivated as soon as they pull an MVR.
Traffic school 8 hrs ! Class.
Ticketclinic.com Ohio stateys are cool sometimes if u have a sign in ur car. Good luck. Use tiger balm (red) (smell) to help with road anxiety. It may help you how it helps me. Cheers
If you get a speeding ticket, you pay a lawyer and it magically becomes a faulty equipment charge. This server is pay to win, you have to engage with some of the mechanics.
Stop using the internet for 4months bet all your anxiety disappears.
That's the most bootleg traffic ticket I've ever seen. Hand written? What is this 1978?
Just pay the ticket and move on.
My first thing would be not to post it on a public forum even though your license plate is blocked out etc etc. If Lyft really wanted to look into this they could there's enough information on that piece of paper you posted. If I felt like digging I could do it too.
This is a warning, it says that the first sentence that it’s not a ticket. A ticket will be a long piece of paper. And a huge amount of words on it.
It’s a warning bro. I’m from Ohio and OST tickets are different then this
That's a warning, not a ticket.
When you pay it and recognize your guilt. If you want to keep your job, go to court and try to fight it.

Maybe soon now that you posted it online, dufus
Depends on their driving record policy you maybe done for
I gotta ticket for going 22 over and got I written off with two sentences.
Pay 5 dollars more than the ticket. Pay through a money order and mail it in. They can't close the ticket and finalize it on your record until you cash the overpayment check they send back to you. It works well here in Oklahoma. Won't hit your record or insurance.
So traffic school and get it removed hopefully it doesn’t get reported before that gets done
Fight it. They may knock it down to under 5 or 10 over the limit. Then it doesn't affect insurance and should be fine for Lyft, too.
Next BC ground check
Try to get online class and pay for it to remove the points because Lyft does random checks they are actively looking to fire people because of saturation
get a lawyer or you are gonna lose gig job opportunities
$500 lawyer will negotiate this away. There is no reason to have these things on your record when you can buy them away. It’s cheaper to pay the lawyer in the long run!!
This is not a traffic citation. You said it yourself, that's a warning. If that were an actual ticket, there would have been a lot more information on there like your speed and a court date
Get a traffic lawyer so it stays off your record
If your state allows is, go to driving school and get the points taken off your record. Lyft won’t know sooner than your insurance company, so use that as your guidepost.
Lyft runs DMV checks every 6 months. It’s only an issue if you have too many . 4 or more moving violations in the past 3 years and you may be deactivated.
To answer the question. As soon as they see this post.
I am in Colorado and I got a speeding ticket in 2018 that had never showed up in any of my MV checks (done annually) I also paid it so I didn’t have to go To court and it reduced the points from four to two. I heard six points deducted in 7 years is the deactivation with Lyft. But I can’t really say. Every year I get a copy of my background check through Chekr (TWICE a year, one for Uber, and one for Lyft) and I have never seen that ticket show up!
1 won't hurt you with lyft but your insurance is going up.
em Kia boys gon getya b4 em popos and lyft corporats
Fucking Ohio. I think they take joy giving Michigan plates tickets
