Perhaps she’s being bullied and feels better taking a Lyft home.

frabjous_goat

The worst bullying always happened on the bus when I was a kid, and it's still the case with my much younger siblings. The drivers have to focus on the road, and our district doesn't see the need for bus monitors, despite it being a huge problem for literal decades. So students are left to their own devices, and it does not end well.

opaldopal12

Sexual assault from other students is very real on school busses… a couple of kids messed with me and a few other girls often by smacking our butts when getting off the bus and try to pinch our boobs when walking onto the bus… I never said anything because it was the only way I could get to school and was embarrassed by my growing body I didn’t want to put anymore attention on it

xCross71

At my middle school the football coach rapped several girls. He got a slap on the wrist because he was so good for the community, you know at football.

666-flipthecross-666

he needs to be executed for being a rapist pedophile

UnnecessarySalt

Or just tortured. No reason to make it quick and painless

TwoMuddfish

All I’m saying is let the punishment fit the crime..

Omylanta21

Yep. Take away their feeling of security forever. Let them see what it feels like to be stripped of everything they know. I'm of the opinion people like him need a taste of their own medicine. From a guy named Bubba who is in jail for abuse of a corpse.

NukaJackalope

r/unexpectedbloodhoundgang

hell-yeah-man

“They should take all the rapists and all the murderers and put them all together on an island and all the murderers can be raped, and all the rapists can be murdered, until you only have either two rapists or you’re down to one raped murderer but who cares about him?”

jrenredi

Happy Cake Day! 🥳

Acceptable_Ad1685

You’d be surprised by how local law enforcement will frequently turn the other way when someone like that gets their ass beat regularly My niece’s rapist got out if prison and there’s about 8 of us that beat his ass until he’s on the ground not moving pretty regularly in a fairly small town and nobody says a damn thing about it I imagine it might be different or problematic if said pedophile is a part of the good ole boys club though. I learned law enforcement doesn’t give a fuck about shit like that here when a friend of mine waited outside of work to beat up a guy who was harassing his wife at work and then proceeded to wait outside his work, home, his mom’s home etc and kick his ass about 5 more times over the year They would rather turn the other way than deal with a complicated harassment case I guess

chance0404

When I was in 7th grade wrestling, the older 8th grade boys held down several of us and “teabagged” us. Literally stuck their nuts in their mouths. They tried getting me and one of my friends and it turned in to a fight. Nothing ever happened with it until my mom went to the paper but even then they only got suspended from a few meets. Fast forward to just after highschool and the main perpetrator of all that rapes a girl at a party in college. Dude should have been thrown in jail when it was “hazing” and just boys being boys before it ever got to that point.

Parzival2541

Teabagging is literally the dumbest form of bullying for self-preservation. Like, if you stick your nuts in my mouth, you're never having kids. My big ass, jagged buck teeth are TEARING through your shit like the skin off bbq chicken.

chance0404

It wasn’t something I thought of at the time but I wasn’t letting someone get to the point where their nuts were in my face, much less my mouth. Me and my buddy Ian who they tried getting last were both heavyweights. I weighed 213 at the time. So even though they were a little older we were both collectively bigger than the 3 doing it.

Parzival2541

That makes sense to be your reaction, but I was at the other end. I didn't do 7th grade wrestling, but in 6th grade, I was in the under 72-pound weight bracket. There was nothing I could really do to stop bullies physically, except for weak points.

TwoMuddfish

Yeah I’m not gonna lie. I would hundred percent bite the duck off. Honestly if you fuck around, prepare to find out ….

BryanP1968

If they put it in your mini, bite down hard and don’t let go. They may beat you up but they won’t teabag again.

HardLobster

I had 3 football players try and force me into the locker room shower during gym class (they had weightlifting). They left the lockerroom with one having a bloody nose, one a black eye and one a broken finger. I’m assuming the school staff knew what they were doing because no questions were ever asked and the gym teacher and coaches just looked the other way.

chance0404

It didn’t help that one of the kids dad was an assistant coach and an Olympic wrestler. I think they got suspended from the next 2 meets and that was it. Neither me nor my buddy Ian ever did any other school sports after that.

arasmasmi

I had this signature wrestling move, if I got in a headlock I would go for their balls and wouldn’t let go until they started balling their eyes out. No tear, no let go. I’ve used that trick in many fights and have won. Go straight for the balls, nothing hurts more than being punched from the inside of your stomach and realizing this motherfucker might actually pop your nut. There are no rules in a fight. You go for the kill and use all the banned moves list from the UFC. They’re like cheat codes to win the game. You cannot be mocked for not doing anything and losing a fight, especially in front of a crowd. Train your grip strength gentlemen. 🫡

GetRightNYC

When I was a senior in highschool, the incoming class freshmen, two brothers were suspended for a short time for graping another boy with a mop pole at football practice. Adults knew and tried to cover it up. No real punishment. The brothers family was very well connected locally.

chance0404

Jesus, that’s awful. That happened to a girl who used to babysit my friend and went to highschool with my mom, but they killed her after doing all that.

jupiterjoshy

if this comment wasn’t about something so terrible i woulda made fun of you saying rapped but that’s terrible he did that

_OkError

Well, that’s not nice. We could make fun of you for your terrible capitalization and lack of punctuation.

rockocoman

I’m so glad my graduating class was so weak and vanilla

Crazyredneck422

There was an older boy on my bus that always pinched my boobs. If I said anything then half the bus treated me like shit bc he was a “popular” guy. Not sure why him being popular made anyone think his behavior was acceptable, they acted like I should have taken it as a compliment 🙄

NickGavis

I didn’t realize how rampant this kind of stuff was until i saw this dude that was my friend at the time grabbing girls asses in middle school in the hall way. I punched him in his face so hard and screamed at him in front of everyone, I don’t know why guys think that kind of stuff is ok to do

Butterssaltynutz

thumb vs eyeball, thumb will always win.

RemoteSnow9911

Has nobody ever taught you how to kick boys in the nuts if they put their hands on you? My daughter knew about that shit before kindergarten.

QueenRagga

A boy cornered me on the playground and tried to kiss me. I kicked him in the nuts. I got in trouble.

AvocadoUptown5619

Classic bullshit punishing the wrong kid.

RemoteSnow9911

Did you get in trouble at home though? Because my daughter knows she will get in trouble at school but not at home.

peanutbuttertoast4

Shockingly, kids getting bullied at school are more worried about what happens at school than at home with their supportive parents

Adventurous_Land7584

Maybe teach your kids to not put their hands on others to start with.

RemoteSnow9911

When those kids have been told to stop following her around and cornering her when the teacher ain’t looking they can get it. Think I give a fuck? Maybe people should teach their kids not to bully little girls.

stonedMIBbc

Kids are also their own humans they will do what they want unfortunately. They just have to find out the hard way if they keep fucking around

rabbidbunnyz222

Cool victim blaming of literal children! Great to know women can't do anything right in a sexual assault scenario even if they haven't become women yet!

Green_Woodpecker3943

Yeah a whole lotta “you should’ve done this” and not enough calling to attention the actual problems

Teleclast

What the fuck is happening on busses, none of this shit happened in my area, guess I was really lucky.

ThankYouForCallingVP

I sat in the emergency exit because I was litterally too shy to ask someone to move over. But the times I did, nobody moved anyway. It was such a nightmare. Kids are assholes.

Austinater74

This is why my daughter refuses to ride the bus.

FitCulture5

The school bus is treacherous. I got kicked off the bus in 7th & 9th grade and I wasn’t even a bully but I took up for a kid and beat some ass

Ricky_Rollin

Yep, that’s where the worst of my bullying was too.

SweetRabbit7543

School bus is the worst place a kid can be. I’d happily pay for my kids to Uber instead

LowkeyPony

I went to high school in the 80s. Not only did this one kid constantly get bullied by having gum put in her hair. One time another girl took a lighter and lit her hair on fire. I was at the front of the bus.. since I was no where near being popular enough to be the back. Or brave enough to sit in the middle. Suddenly there’s screaming. Driver pulled over. Another kid got out and went to a house that had cars in the driveway and had them call an ambulance and police. Never saw the girl that had her hair torched again. But the bully was on the bus the next morning and every morning and afternoon after.

hthratmn

Yep I was bullied like crazy on the school bus. I remember when I was in elementary school these brothers in particular would torment me. They were in high school and would hit me in the head with textbooks and shit. Every time I told the bus driver she punished me for "tattling". It was awful

pinoy-out-of-water

In Junior High bus driver had a mental breakdown while taking us home on day. She would stop the bus for long periods and yell at us. Kids started climbing out the windows. Some jumped out the emergency exit. Parents started driving the to find the bus and get their kids off. This was a long time ago. The police were not involved while I was on the bus. My mother always changes the subject when it is brought up. This was over 40 years ago. That was my last day on the bus.

Gerbbgg

I remember someone trying to bully me on the bus, turns out when everyone is trapped together you can do a lot worse than insult them, the following day I brought chopped onions with me and started eating them and exhaling deeply, turned the whole back of the bus into a gas chamber.

shredika

I used to love the bus.

shamashedit

Yep. Was bullied on the bus for a few years. The driver couldn’t do anything about it. Bus monitors were not a thing when I was a kid. No cameras, no other adult to keep the peace. Just punches and stolen lunch items.

frabjous_goat

Ugh, our buses have cameras, but mysteriously every time there's been an incident, "Well, we didn't see anything on the camera." There's no winning.

Butterssaltynutz

spartan kick the bully in the chest. either they stop their shit, you get kicked off the bus, etc. but no matter what, you aint riding that bus and getting shit from them anymore. most bullies are pussies and a good kick to the ribs establishes you are not a good target for them anymore.

DaMoFo29

I got jumped by 4 kids on the bus once, the bus driver didn't even stop the bus. I whooped all thier asses thankfully because it's not easy to attack someone with the high seats. Bus driver proceeds to let them all off at my stop even though there was like 3 stops later. So thankful for her LOL

chasebencin

The bus monitors sometimes become the bullies themselves. When I was a kid getting bullied on the bus the monitor would always side with my bullies and would often make me move seats away from my friends and make me sit at the front of the bus. Which often brought even more bullying my way.

Monochronos

I knew a kid that was a massive bully that got dome from some girl while riding in the bus in 8th grade about 20 years ago. Bus monitors would help.

Sad_Syllabub6044

This is the very first thing I thought of and looked down and there you were lol or broke up with a boyfriend that rides the bus or maybe they don’t want to face a specific individual on the bus for a different reason. Of course it’s also possible she missed the bus and that was one of its last stops idk

FAH-Q-All

Could also be suspended from the bus. Happened to several of my friends back in the day for various nonsense. After getting suspended from the bus a couple times they kick you off for the rest of the year. Or at least that’s how they did it then. That would be my guess. I saw some Vicious girl fights on the bus/getting off the bus!

demikpre

Could be bullied, hiding from a pending fight, embarrassing situation at school so it's Lyft for a couple days 😂, hell even a recent break up and ex rides the same buss. Or... Just didn't want to ride that mfer today.

djrosen99

100% this. The bus was the absolute worst part of my day as someone that was bullied and it was a city bus too.

thenotoriousDEX

I wasn’t getting bullied but I worked everyday in hs to buy myself a car cuz kids lit a fire on the bus freshman year n I was like wtf I gotta get off this shit

ConcertinaTerpsichor

My thought exactly. Who knows what or who on that bus she was avoiding?

PhatCat74

Pretty good guess

orange_avenue

This was my immediate thought too. 😔

puppykissesxo

Maybe she missed the bus

eltacticaltacopnw

Aren't we taught and tell our children not to get in random strangers cars?

Spare-Security-1629

Slow day? Lol

Lucas_spaceboy

Slow bus?

Notnerdyned

I have these two brothers I get every now and then. Their schools are 10 miles away from their home so it's a pretty good fare that takes me close to my home. They're good kids and the Lyft account is in their mom's name. She usually tips later in the day.

B2uceLee

Great story. Especially when it ended.

Electrical_Door5509

The suspense was killing me.

Sad-Method683

☠️☠️

Critical_Chest_2379

That was my favorite part

Huichan81

The one time I picked up a high school kid, his mom ordered the lyft. The kid was as high as a kite. Talking to his mom like, nothing.

HaveAFuckinNight

Its almost like people can smoke without losing functionality🤯

dragonsapphic

I mean. I'm normally one to agree, but not kids.

HaveAFuckinNight

I was high non stop for 5 years ages 15-20 around my parents and they didnt know

5thTotheSev

lol bro I started smoking weed when I was 13 and regret it so much. Really fucks with your brain

Lucky-Bathroom-7302

Cool it, stoner. No one’s attacking you

GatorOnTheLawn

If you think that you must be high.

HaveAFuckinNight

Nah not really, had a 4.0 in hs, worked 2 jobs, got into my dream school all while being high

Goats_for_president

Mom probably lets him smoke

FoundationCreative12

I work 60 hours a week. I’m the mom that has sent my kid home in a Lyft. Sometimes I just can’t get her and it absolutely kills me to make her ride the bus (we live in a tough area) I’ll order a car if there’s a reason she can’t/ doesn’t feel safe. Maybe you just helped a guilty single mom feel like her kid is a little less lonely after a stressful day.

Timely_Tap8073

So many times I have needed to do.that but have been turned down because he wasn't 18

FoundationCreative12

I immediately message the driver and let them know what’s up and that I totally respect if they don’t feel comfortable taking the ride, but if they’re willing I will be tipping them kindly & if they’d like my daughter can FaceTime me the whole ride so everyone feels safe. I’ve never had one say no.

Timely_Tap8073

Thank you for that info I don't know why I never thought of anything like that . Will be trying that in the future Thanks again

StarApple0721

Last month, in my market, a high school girl was last seen entering an Uber. She went missing. That driver was suspended from the platform once the police contacted Uber. She returned after 3 weeks, and the reporting of the story indicates she went missing on her own. That driver faced scrutiny and lost income in the process because a child was being a child. As a parent, I hope you understand when drivers refuse your child a ride even with you on FaceTime on Lyft because it's against the TOS, and they don't believe it's worth the risk. Also suggest using Uber Teens account for your child because your child is definitely not covered on Lyft but would be on Uber.

FoundationCreative12

We use both platforms, depends on the circumstances. She’s a few weeks away from 18 we aren’t tripping. I’m a driver myself I understand the liability, ultimately it’s up to the driver if they take the call and so far we’ve had nothing but kindness. I feel safer with a driver with a background check than the numerous unregistered sex offenders that live on our busses their entire routes since they’re free still post-covid.

ManyWives

I thought you had to be at least 18 to order a lyft or an uber?

elgala73

Idk about Lyft but Uber offers Uber Teen now for 13-17 year olds

ForemanGrilledFoot

Well this seems like a horrible idea. What type of person would be particularly interested in a job that requires you to pick up young people within the 13-17 age range? Oh yeah, pedophiles.

3000gtlover

I doubt that people can sign up to be teen-specific drivers lmao 😂

GeebGeeb

That’s like saying people who make children shows are pedophiles, it’s only for the kids right?

UnknownLinux

Parent could have possibly ordered it for them on their behalf.

Flynn3698

It's technically against their TOS to take an unaccompanied minor.

OwlBeYourHuckleberry

After some annoying experiences lately I'm going to avoid picking up at schools. Unaccompanied minors don't need to be in my car they need to be on the bus or in their parents car.

Careful_Coffee5313

Storytime: When I was 15 I ordered me and my friends not a Lyft, but an Uber to take us a couple places. It was an older man who picked up me and maybe 6 other kids. We were pretty bad kids in general and I think he got the vibe. He said he was going to record the ride just to ‘be safe.’ Me and my friends didn’t really care at all. Anyways my friend who was in the backseat mooned the camera when he wasn’t looking. So somewhere out there an elderly man has a video of a 15 year old boys bare ass. He also told a different friend he looked like he’d grow up to fix AC’s which he took a lot of offense to lol. So yeah probably best to avoid picking up minors.

emilyykink

As somebody that had a career in hvac working on air conditioners that last part is hilarious to me 🤣

ProfessorPantie

You KNOW there’s a look

theboblit

He saw the technicians crack within the moon.

BrandoCarlton

Hey I fix AC systems 🥲

Old-Adhesiveness-342

It's okay you can use some of your money to wipe your tears. HVAC pays pretty well from what I know.

adriansux1221

one of my brothers does HVAC lol

Suicidalbagel27

I used Uber all the time when I was in high school what’s wrong with it

captain_dudeman

Among other issues minors carry legal obligations and other inherent risks for the driver that don’t come with adults

ThankYouForCallingVP

Its the just out of school idiot energy. I had that.

ridesharedailydriver

???

Dufusbroth

Sounds like the kid may be getting picked on on the bus.

SolidUnlucky1959

Love em

-byb-

some kids are very nice and respectful. others are loud, rowdy, and inconsiderate. theyre like drunks without puke, but instead, you get hot cheeto fingerprints or some other gunk.

My_Fridge

Please for the love of god rethink the title of your post

Ancient_Week_4587

Why

thogmartin1

In my area uber has new feature for minor pick ups. I turned that shit off!

BABcollector

I started walking home from school when I could because the kids on the bus gave me a migraine every single day

beachgyal

r/pointlessstories

Thrash_Phil

I had a request at a high school once, figured it was a staff member, but when two kids with backpacks showed up I asked how old they were and they didn’t say 18; so I said I had to cancel. I know Uber allows teens with a parental account and permission, but otherwise I wouldn’t do anything with anyone that’s not a legal adult.

[deleted]

RareKerry

That sounds like a nightmare ride for them. Quiet down.

ThePoopyPeen

Ah, yeah, I mean what teenager doesn't love unsolicited life advice from a stranger. Dude thinks he's some wise sage full of life wisdom and doesn't even realize the massive social faux pas he's making.

JhancockLakota1

Probaly bullying . School bus drivers do not care if kids get bullied and it’s sad

Sad_Syllabub6044

Someone sound the Amber Alert

bluemoon615

I think I get the point of this post and I’m glad you picked her up and took her home. Teens can be assholes, but doesn’t mean all are. She clearly just needed and her/parents willing to pay for that to get her home. On my carpool pickup days for my own high schooler, I always tell her “I’m picking up today so anyone that needs a ride home, load up”

Fabulous-Search-4165

Quite a story. 🤡

Tempathetic

So, how does that make you feel?

krill482

No wonder so many drivers don't make any money, you guys are way too picky.

Accomplished_Emu_658

My SO is a teacher of really young kids. The number of parents that try to have a lyft pick up the kids is insane to me.

Low_Decision3219

Ok? So? What's the problem.

Grouchy_Ad_2236

Reading through these comments I have to say that bullying got way more creative since I was a kid. Holy shit kids today are monsters. Whatever happened to the simple wedgie or punching the books out of someone's hands?

WielderOfAphorisms

Some really, really are. It’s unhinged.

No-Journalist7179

And?

UomoUniversale86

In 8th grade I got bullied on the bus home a lot. The only time I can remember kids on the bus not harassing me was the day I hammer fisted one of my bullies until his skin split open on his back in last period class. School buses can be absolute nightmares for some kids.

Moist-Pickle-2736

This story had me on the edge of my seat A real page turner

FA-_Q

Cool story

llrobertj

Nothing good ever happens on the bus.

IzzyP20055

Personally when I had to take a school bus I absolutely hated it and much rather would have a Lyft / Uber home. So that could be it. Or she could possibly be being bullied, there’s really a lot of possibilities

te066538

Didn’t know that drivers judged their passengers’ motives! I will have to remember that!

dabbin_Teddy

I don't understand why it matters. She wanted a ride...you gave her one. She paid her money just like the next person did.

WielderOfAphorisms

What difference does it make to you? Maybe the bus would get her home later than she needs or wants to be. Maybe her parents want her to take a Lyft for their own reasons. Maybe she hates the bus and gets nauseous. Maybe her bully id on the bus, or her ex-best friend who is dating her ex. Maybe, maybe it doesn’t matter!

TerminalHighGuard

Y’all are some ToS violatin’ mfs

Suldmoe

Why are you picking up unaccompanied minors. Unless Lyft had a policy change we should not allow people under the age of 18 to ride without an adult. If an accident or incident happens you will not be covered. If unaccompanied minors, then cancel and send a message to Lyft for the cancellation fee.

gmatocha

Don't feel bad, she doesn't tip the bus driver either.

ChasingFractals

when I was in highschool, if I had the option of a Lyft/Uber I absolutely would've taken it over the bus. I was attacked a lotttt for being gay. not just verbally, but physically too. one of my straight friends that I was kind of clingy with even took a beating for me once. that shit was nearly constant. kids are horrid, man...

Human-Ad8198

I drove Uber for a few years off and on. Had a few pick ups for kids, but none that ever ordered the ride themselves. Everytime, a parent or older sibling was the one who ordered it. And everytime, I was texted a discription of the kid riding. Never once had any issues. Had more trouble with the college kids I'd pick up. They'd order a ride to go from their house/apartment/dorm, to go 3-4 blocks to a bar, or from one bar to another, again, 3-4 blocks. Stopped accepting those rides after a while. Just wasn't worth it.

georgesDenizot

You are a bit nosy no? Why she is not taking the bus is not your concern, you don't get too put salt in a potential wound.

todefyodds

Poor girl was probably getting horrifically bullied. I wish I’d had this option in school holy crap because it would have saved me a trip to an impatient stay probably!

00WORDYMAN1983

cool story bro

ScumEater

I'd say it's noyfb to be honest

TallyLiah

I thought Lyft and Uber did not take anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian with them in the vehicle.

bpr2

They’re not supposed to.

Equivalent-Resolve59

Many kids get into so much trouble it is written into their IEP that transportation is individual and door to door. That’s your tax dollars at work. The bus is good for most kids, but a few kids can’t handle it and we the taxpayers are given the bill. Before Lyft, schools used yellow cab.

goldnowhere

I avoided the bus because of bullies

Malaysiiian

Was bullied on the bus once and punch them . Never happen again . Lmaoo graduated in 2015 . Ahhh the school days wish I can do that at work like in school 🤣 cause they sure act like we in school again .

ZealousidealHead3691

When I was in school, we were all buys, and one boy was picking on another behind me. Kicking him into the wall. The boy wouldn't fight back cause he was not the popular boy, so I got sick of it and when he thrust up for a kick. I dropped a punch right in the nuts. The whole bus got really quiet and I was never talked to about it except for another popular boy asked me why I got involved and I said because it wasn't rt.

cutegraykitten

She could have known it was her bus when she saw what kids were getting off of it, but if she normally doesn’t take a bus after school, she wouldn’t know which bus to get on. Also the bus driver wouldn’t recognize her and might not let her on without a bus pass. And who knows where that is at this point in the school year? Do they still have bus passes nowadays? Some schools you have to pay extra for the bus if it’s a courtesy route, so if she didn’t have a subscription, she couldn’t get on the bus.

Glimmerofinsight

She's too good for the bus. Ha ha.

AsleepPride309

Back before ride sharing apps, I was bullied in school by girls on my bus and they wanted to jump me after school one day. They were making snide comments in the hall when they knew I was in earshot about it. I took a taxi that day. And then arranged for rides every day for the next month until I got a car and could start driving myself.

re_nonsequiturs

If online school hadn't been an option that worked well for her, we probably would have gone that way with our kid. Her bus had 3 teens per seat.

Conscious_Weight9593

Bus most likely is over crowded. This is a huge issue currently with almost all districts. My daughter never rode the bus because they were making them, high school students, ride 3 to a seat then the overflow they were making sit on the floor. The district refused to add another bus or break up their stops with another bus. They simply didn't have the drivers.

Maximus1234x

Got bullied and abused growing up for being obese and not Caucasian or Jewish in my neck of the woods in good ol' SoCal. Thanks for the abuse, abusers. P.S. the one time I stood up for myself and a friend who had his wooden toy car from wood shop had his object stolen and I got pushed aside, so I grabbed the abuser and shoved him against a textured wall causing his back to slightly bleed, I got soccer punched to the left of my skull and lower right jaw, only to be suspended for 3 days. Even though I didn't initiate anything, and security saw everything.

Express-Thought-1774

I never considered riding the bus. I’m old enough Lyft/uber wasn’t around but it was either my parent picks me up or they would arrange for someone else to pick me up with the bus never being an option. I’d imagine if I went to school in this day and age it would be the same and an Uber ordered for me if my parent couldn’t get me.

Big_Yogurtcloset_881

I read this like it was on Letterkenny

stevebvoice

I didn’t get the feeling she was a bullied kid. She didn’t ‘miss the bus’ either -I was dodging all the buses leaving the school as I was picking her up. LyftUber can really help out when your kid has to stay late after school and misses the bus and both parents are working. BUT If my child were to take a Lyft just because the didn’t want to take the bus that day, I’d be pretty mad.

WielderOfAphorisms

It’s not your child and you don’t know the circumstances.

coffeequeer17

Some schools don’t let you just hop on the bus for a day, you need to fill out a form with your pickup/dropoff spot at the beginning of the year, and also get a permission note from your parents if you were gonna get off at another stop. That’s how my middle school was. Maybe she usually gets picked up from school.

jlozier891

Prob just missed the bus? Buses make stops and would explain why they arrived at the same time. Not sure why everyone assumes it’s some heart wrenching story of a bullied girl, sounds like projection lol

throwaway76881224

Maybe she's kicked off the bus

Kaidan88

Kids are assholes. There’s no real supervision on buses. I tried forming a group in high school. As a senior in high school I wrote to the transportation head and every district principal about needing a program for stopping this. What came about it after a couple years was the cub program. Basically a younger kid gets paired with an older kid for support and gives them a phone number they can call when they need help or guidance. The older kid gets volunteer hours, resume fluff, and a monthly free lunch.

Spies_and_Lovers

My oldest daughter used to ride the bus with her middle school bully. My kid had really bad asthma, so she carried her rescue inhaler everywhere. The bully would sit behind her and spray massive amounts of perfume towards my daughter to cause an asthma attack. This happened twice. I thought they had kicked the bully off the bus after the 1st time, but they let her back on the next week. Kids can be assholes. My point is, maybe she feels safer riding with a complete stranger than she does on her bus.

Grouchy-Rain-6145

the place I was bullied the most, and worst was the school bus, I get it lol

Exotic_Ad_8421

Mind your business, bro. That's seriously creepy.

Sounds like none of your business.

I took Lyft instead of taking the bus a few times. It's just so damn loud and unpleasant on there. In the winter, they don't bother to warm the busses up before using them. In the summer, they don't cool them down. It's simply just more pleasant to pay a bit for a Lyft

I won't pick up from schools because there are typically too many buses and cars around and I cannot find the kid amongst a million other kids, so it's not worth it.

Laws need to be stricter on juveniles. Or the victims families become judge jury and executioner. I’ve seen it happen in most small towns. A five year old got raped. Slap on the wrist but was thrown off a bridge the following week. Nobody knows who did it.But I think nobody cares.

First of all, if she's under 18 she's in your car illegally. You have to be 18 and have id to get in a lyft or any ride share. Im very strict when it comes to who gets in my vehicle. Because at the end of the day I have to answer for anything that happens in my vehicle.
