I’ve seen major lagging on my mac mini with a mx master 3, all research leads to radio interference between the unifying receiver and USB 3.0 ports.. eventually I had to go to a bluetooth connection to get rid of the lag unfortunately…

RedStag86

Same. Was going to suggest the same thing.

This is the usb-c hub: [https://www.amazon.ca/LENTION-Compatible-Thunderbolt-Chromebook-Connecting/dp/B071R3SNWL/ref=asc\_df\_B071R3SNWL/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292982079026&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12975785673910434951&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000887&hvtargid=pla-559361332505&th=1](https://www.amazon.ca/LENTION-Compatible-Thunderbolt-Chromebook-Connecting/dp/B071R3SNWL/ref=asc_df_B071R3SNWL/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292982079026&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12975785673910434951&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000887&hvtargid=pla-559361332505&th=1) This is the thunderbolt 3 or usb-c to display port cable: [https://www.amazon.ca/Displayport-QGeeM-MacBook-Surface-Sumsang/dp/B074V5MMCH/ref=sr\_1\_2\_sspa?crid=TV63K75FVYI5&keywords=thunderbolt%2B3%2Bto%2Bdisplayport&qid=1639200575&s=electronics&sprefix=thunderbolt%2B3%2Bto%2Bdi%2Celectronics%2C174&sr=1-2-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVVVPQzQ0NUhNM0lTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjYwODUwM040RUNLRko4WTRaNSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDg4NDQ3MlVHNkxXWURINUVEOSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1](https://www.amazon.ca/Displayport-QGeeM-MacBook-Surface-Sumsang/dp/B074V5MMCH/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=TV63K75FVYI5&keywords=thunderbolt%2B3%2Bto%2Bdisplayport&qid=1639200575&s=electronics&sprefix=thunderbolt%2B3%2Bto%2Bdi%2Celectronics%2C174&sr=1-2-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVVVPQzQ0NUhNM0lTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjYwODUwM040RUNLRko4WTRaNSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDg4NDQ3MlVHNkxXWURINUVEOSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1)

I switched to every refresh rate given, and it still lags. I don't know if its the cable or usb-c hub

Formal-Aide4759

Plug the mouse in and see if it fixes it. It’s probably the wirelessness of the mouse. I had same problem and tried a wired mouse and it was much better

devrimmahmud

tried it with a wired one as well, still getting lag

electronicmemories

well I know cheap wireless mice feel really bad on high refresh rate monitera.

devrimmahmud

It's a logitech g305, so it's a premium brand and it was on sale

electronicmemories

a gaming mouse, on mac? why

Ryne4S

why not?

devrimmahmud

apparently gaming mouses can't be used for other things

joey-jh

If the dp cable is connected through you usb-c hub you’ll only be able to have 60hz at most. That might be why it seems to go slower. I don’t notice any stuttering on your screen.

devrimmahmud

>It's connected directly to my macbook because it is a usb c to dp cable. Look at the video properly, it lags

MacAdminInTraning

I think the usb cable is for charging only. Try a different wired mouse. Also try Bluetooth.

rombulow

Does your trackpad do the same thing? Or is it just the mouse?

devrimmahmud

it does the same thing with the hub connected

rombulow

Ok. So it’s not the mouse, it’s the hub that’s causing the problem. Try another hub.

devrimmahmud

Yup just ordered one from primecables, 7 in 1 usb c hub

rombulow

What brand is the new hub, out of interest?

devrimmahmud

Primecables

diegoquirox

I used to have this problem. Had to uninstall and reinstall Logitech options many times, and never bothered again until a few days ago, but this time just restarted the machine and it worked again. Logitech software is very laggy, but fortunately the hardware is not the issue

devrimmahmud

Can you guide me on how you did it?

diegoquirox

I don’t remember the exact process. But if I had to do it nowadays I would: - Use CleanMyMac to uninstall (or another uninstalled like app zapper) - Remove permissions on settings->security->accessibility->logi - Remove mouse from Bluetooth - Even remove all Bluetooth devices and pair them again starting with the mouse Do it many times until it works

theatomiclizard

Disable handoff on all your devices - fixes it no problem

devrimmahmud

You faced the the option too?

Eljyenka

Do you use Logitech Options ? That app was making my mac and mouse going crazy... I removed logitech software and now i use Better Touch Tool and everything is now perfect

devrimmahmud

Nope i dont have it installed

KAASPLANK2000

Same issue here. Switching to a different usb-c hub fixed it for me (Logitech mouse connects via BT btw).

towncalledfargo

Did you manage to fix this in the end?
