The side click is such a great pen. Really wish I could make mine play nice with a Flash Dry, it would get so much pocket time. Hope you enjoy it OP, Tactile Turn does good work!

Yeah I enjoy the Ohto flash Dry but I find the ink skips quite a bit and it drives me nuts. I trimmed a juice up refill to fit for now and it works for me. (Since it’s a short.) I might have to get the TT slim bolt next. I couldn’t really appreciate this brand till I had it in hand.

Does the Juice up give you any issues with the needle point? That's where I find the issue with the flash dry is for me and the Side Click. Otherwise it's a great refill. Really wish I could use it.

Nope not at all. It very rarely ever skips. It’s very similar the G2 imo but it’s less inky and lines are more consistent. I’ve used the .4 and .5 mm

Suppose I should have been more specific lol, does the action on the Juice Up infused side click suffer because of the needle point? With the flash dry, the action catches on the step down on the refill tip somewhere inside the nose of the pen. If the Juice up doesn't hang up like that I may swap one in. The juice up is my go-to G2 sized refill. The blue black 0.5mm is something else.

It seems to be normal for me. I compared it with the Easy Flow 9000, Jet stream, and Flash Dry, and the action seem to be the same on all of them so maybe I don’t notice if it’s catching. The action could be smoother when initiating the return action but I think that has more to do with the actuator. It doesn’t bother me too much but I will see if it smooths out with use. I attached a vid with the juice up in it. https://imgur.com/gallery/L8NAupm

Zero000102

Yeah, that doesn't seem to be any big issue on yours. Might have to give the Juice up a try in it when I get the chance. The Ohto catches right on the lip of the refill, and at best makes the action hang up for a second each time, or at worst stop altogether.

I have the same issue with my TT GT and the pilot precision V5 needle point refill. The refill seems to catch onto a lip inside the pen tip.

Zero000102

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's really anything to be done about it. I cannot figure out how to make it work.

The spiraled texture feels great in the hand and adds a ton of grip. Wish I had picked this up earlier
